Deadpool’s eyes reopened to a new environment. He found himself lying on a bed of grass, surrounded by parched rolling hills.Withering patches of shrubbery blemished the wasteland sparsely. He could see only a few trees over the landscape, most of which were perched on the sides of the jagged canyons in the background; they leaned almost horizontally, halfway uprooted.
This was not the Omniverse.
”Definitely needed narration to clear that up for me,” the mercenary sarcastically stated.
He rose to his feet, patting off whatever dust hugged onto his ass. Then he looked to the east. Mountains in the distance silhouetted against an oranging sky. It was perhaps around 7 a.m.; the sun was coming.
A new journey had begun.
