Once every solar cycle on a given World, Cyrus can summon up a surge of burning stellar energy from inside himself. In a matter of seconds, his body becomes progressively hotter and brighter, reaching a point of incandescent radiance. Any contact with his superheated body will immediately ignite flammable materials, and prolonged contact can allow him to melt through hardened (though not necessarily reinforced) substances such as masonry or weak metal. If an enemy touches Cyrus with exposed fabrics or similar gear, it is entirely likely this opponent will begin to catch fire.

While Cyrus is at his peak radiance, he gleams with an intense white brilliance that shines like daylight. Anyone without enhanced or indirect senses will have a hard time looking directly at him, which will make it hard to aim abilities at or immediately near him.

Cyrus cannot maintain this output of energy indefinitely, however. Though he can modulate the timing of his heat and light, he will return to his normal, starry glow after a minute of this intensity. Though it does not necessarily exhaust him physically to conjure this outburst, he cannot conjure this energy again until the next sunrise.

Raph:
Raphael enters battle wielding the dual sais. Though they have minimal striking range (around the same as a knife), they have excellent defensive capabilities, and the tips are sharp. He can block incoming damage but has to concentrate and cannot attack at the same time.

STAFF EDIT: An ability's total Essence cost cannot drop below 50E per rank of Effect. Since you have two Effects listed here, Damage and Protection, the math goes like this:

Damage Rank 3 (300) - Removable (150) = 150E.

You then add Protection Rank 3 (300) - Concentration (150), then subtract Removable (150) from Protection's cost as well. The price of Protection Rank 3 cannot be reduced below 50E per rank of Effect, so this stays priced at 150E. So, you add the new total cost of Damage Rank 3 and Protection Rank 3 together to get 300E.

You can remove one of the negative modifiers from the Protection Effect if you want, since it doesn't really affect the price.

Descriptor: Target’s feet (or means of transport) are frozen in stone for 5 minutes, or meshed with the ground. After the duration is up, the stone simply breaks away, as time has weakened its density. It is meant to be more of a tangle or a net, to gently incapacitate weaker foe. As the ranks increase with this one, the amount frozen would rise as well. Currently Rank 1.

While the person’s feet are frozen they can still attack, they just are unable to use and move their feet, meaning Gildarts couldn’t be chased after until the stone is broken.

Gildarts can do this to up to 5 people.

Descriptor: The mind-altering experimentation carried out on Malloki has caused him to feel pleasure instead of pain when damage is inflicted on him. He even actively seeks out pain to achieve some semblance of bliss. Unfortunately, this damage can still kill or seriously debilitate him if enough is accumulated, so this is obviously unhealthy.

In addition, even though Malloki’s organs are all located where they should be for an average human, they simply don’t matter. Even grievous wounds to his brain or heart will not stop him from continuing on. However, in conjunction with Malloki's other unique abilities, feeding himself is important to maintaining this effect. If a vital organ is damaged while Malloki is in a "starving" state (described under Living Voodoo), this adaptation will become far less effective and his body will begin to shut down.

Dependent upon which vital organ is damaged, though, Malloki will almost always suffer some negative effect. For example, a bullet to the brain may momentarily function like a flashbang, disorienting him, and any damage to his stomach can make some of his other abilities harder to carry out (specifically the ones relying on the amount of calories he consumes).

Descriptor: Temporarily makes the target more suggestible. The target must be within the immediate vicinity, within ten feet of Gildarts, in order to hear his manly voice. (If it was found acceptable to affect multiple people, each one would have to be in the vicinity to get it to work. It would work on no more than 4 people at a time.) This makes the opponent(s) more suggestible, however it will not dissuade people from doing something their heart is set on doing. It may distract someone during battle slightly but it is more of a persuasion move.

This is one I’m hoping to get to work. Feel free to help, or tell me it won’t work at all if you like. I’d also be interested in having it ‘dice roll related’ as the idea comes from DND.

The only thing that has changed is the Damage effect's ranks.

Like a true Voodoo Doll, whenever Malloki takes damage from any source (including from creatures hidden, at range or behind obstacles), some or all of that damage is returned to the attacker. Soon after taking damage, Malloki automatically heals some of the damage taken.

The damage resembles the damage dealt, specifically the appearance of the wounds. While the wounds appear similar, the damage type (and thus any advantage or disadvantage) is lost. This “Voodoo” damage is a force all its own, no matter its appearance. The amount of damage returned is limited to the damage taken by Malloki.

The rapid healing burns calories. While this seems beneficial, prolonged fights can leave Malloki not only unable to maintain healing, but physically starving. Roughly, a cut by a small knife takes around 50 calories to heal. At any given time without prior preparation, Malloki’s diet usually alots him two to three thousand calories over the point of “starvation.” While this seems like a lot to work with, the cost per severity increases quadratically.

As he nears the point of starvation, his movements become sluggish, but dropping too low he can suffer from dizziness, loss of functions, or even complete loss of consciousness. Refilling his calories is a simple means of eating, which can take as little as thirty seconds to consume. Actually digesting enough to gain calories, however, can take up to a minute beyond actually getting the ration down, and is best done BEFORE his calories hit the danger-threshold of 600 or lower. Even then, the gaining of calories through digestion is more of a trickle, rather than a full reset.

Damage inflicted by Living Voodoo specifically triggers after Hex.

The maximum area that the fire spreads or covers are 40 feet.

How long Aku can breathe fire is a total of two minutes until he needs to catch his breath. When he continually breathes fire, the shorter his flames will become. It takes five minutes for Aku to regain enough air into his body.

Descriptor: This unique ability is a signature attack that Fox darts forward at incredible speeds. When in the process of darting, he leaves an afterimage of himself that collide briefly against the target before coming to an abrupt halt past few feet from the target. The afterimage is barely to be seen due to the incredible speed. The result of being stuck by this dash will damage the target and often knocks opponents off their feet. Also, if Fox gets attacked in the process of this move, he will essentially "skip" through opposing attacks. Which means he will narrowly avoid taking full damage.

However, If the opponent's attack is very powerful, then the ability to "skip" these attacks won't work. The downside of doing this move, Fox can only do it three times. After the three uses are up, he will need to catch his breath, which takes 2 minutes. In the meantime, running for him will be slower than before until he regains enough oxygen in his lungs.

Essence Cost: 400

STAFF EDIT: The actual total Essence cost for this ability would be 800E. Remember that even with modifiers, the price of an ability cannot drop below 50E per rank of Effect.

That would mean that the Damage 3 (with modifiers) total cost is 150E, the Speed 4 (w/ modifiers) total cost is 400E, and the Protection 5 (w/ modifiers) total cost is 250E.

Descriptor: Malloki can manifest a visual illusionthat he may use to directly bring himself harm or use to achieve self-harm in some way. This is by all means merely a visual illusion, except that it can be "taken" much like a solid object if the user has the intent to do so and can be used by others, though only against Malloki. Larger or more complicated items can take longer to conjure, while simple small items can be manifested in a few seconds.

In the hands of Malloki, he may "harm" himself with the illusion. The illusion tool causes no damage, but he may instead select a Hexed target that he can perceive and inflict Voodoo damage onto that target. The wound appears similar to what the tool would inflict.

Though Malloki does not take damage, he feels the "pain" of any wound inflicted upon himself and may be debilitated as if he had actually taken the damage, such as a gunshot to the head can leave him stunned for a few moments.

If in the hands of another, the weapon can be used against Malloki to induce the standard side effects without targeting a Hexed creature. The wielder may use the blade against him/herself to deal damage to Malloki, but feels the pain themself.

The illusion lasts five minutes or until the wielder willingly releases it. The weapon shatters much like glass when timed out or dismissed. Once the illusion ends, a replacement may not be summoned for thirty seconds, at which point the fragments dissipate. The shrapnel cannot be used as a weapon.
