Username: Amalia Eckern
Name of Ability?
Vörðr (1000)
Ability Effects:
Summon (300)
Positive Modifier: Triggered - Upon severe harm directed towards Amalia (50)
Negative Modifier: Limited - Can only be summoned via trigger (-50), Finite (-50)
Protection 5 (500)
Positive Modifier: Self/Other (125), Ongoing (0)
Negative Modifier: Weakness - Can only protect those with dead loved ones (-125)
Concealment 1 - Sight (100)
Positive Modifier: Ongoing (0)
Negative Modifier:
Flying 1 (200)
Positive Modifier: Ongoing (0)
Negative Modifier: Limited - Can only hover a few feet off the ground (-50)
Descriptor: Vörðr resides within Amalia’s heart. It is one of the few spirits that she cannot intentionally manifest. Instead it manifests itself when Amalia is in the path of significant harm. It is naturally invisible, but those able to see supernatural entities would see a golden disc surrounded by a halo of light. If one looked closely they would be able to see a multitude of ever-changing faces on the disc’s surface. Once manifested it acts as a protector, using its own body as a shield for Amalia and occasionally her allies. It remains silent unless it is protecting someone. It will try to comfort whoever it is protecting by speaking in the voice of a dead loved one. Whether this is truly a loved one speaking from the grave or simply a facsimile created by Vörðr is unknown. After several minutes the spirit dissipates and returns to Amalia's heart, unable to manifest again for several days.
Essence Cost: 1000
For your Summon Effect - Your Limited modifier cannot be the same as your Triggered modifier. In order to qualify as a Limited modifier, an Effect must lose half of its effectiveness. That is not the case here, as the ability still works exactly as intended.
For your Protection modifier - Your Weakness modifier would work better as a Limited modifier, as it only works under certain circumstances.
In addition, if this can protect both Amalia and her friends -at the same time-, you will need to replace Self/Other with Affects Multiple. Otherwise, leave it as it is.
