"Yeah, it's pretty huge but hey, it's interesting nonetheless." she rmused before she would go for her plate and lowered her blanket somewhat before she eventually start eating the spaghetti as well. "Tall Man's done it again. This is really good!"

Though, she can't help to wonder more about the Tall Man. There's still so much mystery about them and their purpose as a whole. The fact is that she's going to miss this place but the fact is that she's going to make plans to return to it. However, be more prepared for the return trip.

"I wonder what is the weather today. Hopefully it's nothing too bad up on the surface, you know?"'

She was curious on what is in store, though, to be honest, her plans. What is she going to do now? Probably explore more of Erde Nona or something? Maybe stick with Sans? She isn't sure but for as much of a bonehead Sans is, she can't ignore the fact that it was actually nice to talk to someone besides Booker for once.

Though, Booker.

That darn Boo is going to cause trouble if Sans shows up without her and she really doesn't want that but at the same time, atleast she's not in the valley and out in the world. Wasn't it something he wanted after telling him about the Darkseid ordeal and the Crossroads? To go out there and actually do something about the Unmaking? In fact, he was sending mixed signals to her as a whole as it's almost like he couldn't decide or moreso even trust her to be independent.

Why couldn't she have someone that isn't a constant worrywart and let her do what she want without being held back? The thought of if was annoying if not also draining to a sense.

* he has! he's spent a lot of time on his cooking.

No doubt all that time in the Code Dimension has sharpened the Tall Man's skills. How he managed to get the materials was beyond Sans, though. The Code Dimension was, despite all their attempts to study it, still an enigmatic place filled with enigmatic things. A part of him wished he knew more, but with all that has happened... a part of him also wondered if it was best they didn't know anything about it. It could break the minds of anyone, knowing such a thing existed and how much it affected things.

In that sense, he was protecting her. Protecting her from that knowledge, from just how many worlds beyond worlds were out there where things were different, and just how much things in this world could change if one of those worlds changed. He still didn't know if what he had seen was the trigger point. Was it all inevitable? Was there just... nothing he could do?

He had to fight those thoughts. The others would have wanted him to. But he couldn't let Kagami get those thoughts. He wasn't sure she could handle them.

* well, i guess it'll depend. when it rains up there, it snows down here, or at least it does so in snowdin. it'll be harder to tell here in the ruins, since most everything is a cavern or building of sorts.

"Ah gotcha." she nodded. "Oh, yeah, that's true, especially since weather is a bit different down here then. However, as much as I like and dislike some areas, I'd say Waterfall is pretty nice and if we weren't in a hurry, I'd stay around longer."

She liked the Echo Flowers among the other things and besides, it was calm, silent, almost relaxing. She was lucky to have a crystal with her as a reminder of that place.

"However, yesterday's events really got me wondering." she spoke before continuing, "Besides the usual pun jokes and that, I've noticed that you're suspiciously quiet about certain things and you know, that's on you, sure. However, how would you feel if I'm just as involved in this? The point of what I'm saying is with what happened in Waterfall."

Her tone was casual but with a hint of seriousness.

"By your expression, you looked..concerned. Worried even."

* eh. my preference is snowdin. it's very cool and chill, don't you agree?

Sans chuckled before muffling it via stuffing his face with spaghetti. Soon, though, his chuckling ceased as he listened to Kagami's words. He was hoping she wouldn't ask about that. Hell, he was hoping she would lose interest in this place entirely, or at least never look much beyond its surface.

* ah... look, kid. i still barely understand this place, and what i do understand is... odd. not like the cool 'odd,' either. it's more like a really confusing odd that makes you want to lie down for a bit, if that makes any sense?

* okay, i'm getting off track. the point is, if you REALLY want to learn more about this place... you'll have to find the main man himself. he's much better at judging these sorts of things than i am. i'm just his assistant.

"Oh, so I have to play a little game of Where's Gaster in this?" she asked before she sighed, "As if I know where he is!"

She really doesn't know where he is honestly.

"Anyways, you were probably expecting me to forget or something, is that what it is?" she asked as she would be pointing her finger at Sans. "Listen up bonehead, I don't forget and if it especially concerns me in the mix, I want to know what's going on."

After saying that, she would eventually finish up her spaghetti dish and get up before she would go back to her room.

"Anyways, we got to get going. The daylight is already burning away as is and I got things to do so I'll see you again shortly."

Briefly after she said that, she would shut the door behind her and start getting ready with putting on her hoodie and the likes of other things.

"Who does he think he is? Trying to leave me out in the dark like that?" she would grumble to herself. "I'm not going to give up that easily and he's probably trying to drag me down on purpose. Probably scared or something and besides, he should be lucky I like him better than Booker, that stupid lying Boo."

She needed to get to the bottom of this. Though, she would have to revisit this place sometime down the road.

* i mean, if it helps, i don't know where he is either, so...

He watched Kagami run off and slam the door behind her, no doubt mad at him for once again denying her the intricate, secret knowledge of the underground's lore. Sadly for her, he never forgot about what she wanted at all. It was going to have to take more than a day of babysitting for him to reveal much more than what little that has been shown.

I chowed down on the remainder of his spaghetti dish before setting it down. He put his jacket back on, glad for the comforting warmth it provided, before standing around the living room, waiting for Kagami to come back out.

Eventually, after rambling and getting herself ready, Kagami came back out of her room with her usual attire on with her hoodie and boots along with anything else, but not talking to Sans as she would storm out of the home without even so much of a glance at the skeleton. Once outside, she would eventually come to the leafless tree with the pile of leaves on the ground and while she would eventually take notice of the cavern settings, she sighed.

Given circumstances, her frustration was evident and despite the fact that she has recovered from yesterday's events, she was thinking that she wasn't assertive enough and in the midst, she would wait for Sans to come along.

Maybe this time, she would have more luck as all she was doing was stand and leaned against the leafless tree, crossing her arms.

As Kagami walked out, Sans made sure to follow. He noticed that Kagami was, shall we say, a very hot bean at the moment, so he decided it would be within their mutual best interest to avoid antagonizing her for the moment. It seemed that, despite everything, she still really wanted to know way more than what she bargained for down here.

He continued following her through the purple caverns of the Ruins. They passed by large columns, murals, piles of crimson leaves, and the generally ancient remnants of Home, the first Home, where the Monsters first went when they came down here.

Since Sans joined up eventually, she went ahead in front of him while they were traversing the Ruins.

For a time since she has been in this mountain, Kagami had been restraining herself from using her powers but it's been reaching to the point that she wanted to use them more, almost if she has a trigger finger itch. They were akin to using something of a weapon of sorts but at the same time, she had been struggling herself. The fact that Sans won't just tell her is in a way, driving her crazy to the point that she wanted to break loose and not care anymore!

Does she dare unleash them or should she not? Well, that's becoming more complicated as she needed Sans around and besides, if he was just some normal skeleton, she'd probably had ditched him overtime. Her frustrations were only fueling the bitterness she has been feeling in the pit of her gut which if she had a choice of words, feels as a swirl of negative emotions culminated into one.

Her attention of the surroundings were of limited value. She was just seeing them as old stuff rather than actual artifacts, her mind was hard set on finding answers to this mountain and judging by the look in her eyes, they didn't have the normal look to them but more of an empty, hollowed look underneath those glasses.

She was craving for that information and her intent to harm the skeleton was rising to the point that she's truly tired of his shenanigans because unlike Waterfall, she was going to make sure of it even if it's to an inch of life to his smiling smug name!

For as long as she thought to herself, there was an eerie silence between the two and if Sans were to talk to her, she wouldn't acknowledge it because she was in her own world and it would only be wasted space as it would only echo around this place, forever bouncing off the hallowed walls of the caverns.

She wasn't interested in any of this stuff at all, was she?

Something about the way she stared ahead, eternally focused on some internal focusing, made Sans very uneasy. He didn't show it beyond his casual smile, but he couldn't help but wonder just what was going on in Kagami's head. Judging by her steely expression, she was still clearly mad at him, and he wasn't sure anything short of laying bare the secrets of this mountain was going to make her happy again.

He didn't say anything to her. What was there he could say that she'd respect, not to mention process at the moment? It would have been wasted breath. So, instead, he kept following her, gradually leading her to the end of the massive caverns and, ultimately, the end of the Underground itself.

Eventually, they reached a massive set of gated doors, long, black and gold, as royal as any door could be. He recognized those doors as the same ones he had pushed open when he had teleported into the Underground in the first place. This was it. The end.

* well... this is it. beyond these doors is the last room in the whole underground. pretty cool, huh?

Kagami didn't reply as she would turn around, but instead of exiting the doors, she instead turn around, only to face Sans to block him from exiting out of the Underground.

Her stoic expression didn't leave her, she was staring at Sans and there was aria of tension and unease in the room. From beneath her glasses, she was staring down at the skeleton's eyesockets, not caring to what he said earlier but if this is the last room, well, she might as well make something of it.

Before long, she would cross her arms, standing stiff much akin like a statue, well despite her smaller size.

"As long as I'm standing here, we're not leaving." she spoke with a calm yet piercing tone. "In fact, we're not going to anytime soon and we can spend all day here in this spot until you tell me what's going on because I had enough of your sorry excuses."

[ * Kagami blocks the way. ]

... Crap. She was madder than he thought. And it wasn't like he could just TELL her, because if he did... who knew how she'd react to it. At best, she'd get so interested in it it'd kill her. At worst... he didn't even want to think about it. There were simply too many ways this could go wrong for her. So he couldn't tell her. Instead, he had to stall, make a get away, or otherwise just ease her mind a little.

* i mean, i've been telling you a lot, i think. showing you a lot. i'm not sure what it is you want to know that you think i know, you know? like, you gotta be a bit more specific here.

"Quit lying and start TALKING."

Her tone was replaced with almost growling full of hostility as she was pressing more into this as her magenta eyes were slightly glowing from behind her glasses and if Sans was going to refuse, she would have to force him.

"Because right now as you stand, you're making this hard for yourself and you have nobody else to blame but yourself in the end. After all, now I think about it, I wonder if you really do the same sort of lying for not only your brother but also your friends to shield them from harm or the likes. I mean, both you and Booker do the same thing practically!"

She tilted her head slightly. "Besides, what makes you any different? Do you think you REALLY know what's best for everyone? You can't always be there to protect them and judging by things, I'm sure you've failed down the line several times or so."

Ooooookaaaaay.... this isn't good. This is not good at all. Her eyes were practically glowing with anger at the moment, and something told him absolutely nothing he was going to say was going to calm her down. She wanted answers. He didn't want to give them to her. This... wasn't good. He needed to get out of here before either one of them got hurt.

He shut his eyes for a few seconds as he listened to her words. He kept his smile up even as she brought up his friends, brought his brother into this. He kept his cool, just like he always had. If her words had impacted him, he didn't show it. Not to her.

* first off... kid, technically speaking, this ain't your business.

He shrugged, waving his hand about. * this place, this history, what i do with my friends, my family, all that... not really your business. i didn't have to show you anything. still don't. and, you know, you seemed like an adventurous, curious little bean. i figured, what the heck, i'll show her around, tell good jokes, tell her tales of the underground, that sort of thing. she'd like that.

He shook his head. * but, well... you want way more than that. can't blame you. the place is mighty interesting. the answers, too, are mighty interesting. im sure you'd love to hear them.

He sighed, his eyes locking onto her.

* but... you won't. sorry kid, but i can't just TELL you these things. you need to go through the process, you know? it's stuff you gotta EARN before you get to LEARN.

* and, well... truth be told, i'm not gonna spill the beans for somebody who, uh... how do i put this...

He chuckled, watching as Kagami's glare narrowed and her eyes flared up even more intensely. * is kinda entitled? you seem to think that just because there's something cool out there, it therefore means you should know about it, maybe even have it. and lemme tell you, kid... that's the LAST person who i should be giving secrets to. that kind of person... they're liable to do anything they want with it. you can't trust those kinds of people.

He harrumphed, gazing off to the side in such a nonchalant manner that one could almost fail to notice he was scanning around, searching for a way out of this place. * and hey, i haven't failed my friends, my family yet. things seemed pretty alright for them, last i checked.

He suddenly stared at her again, his dotted eyes piercing right into her being. * can you say the same, kagami?

"Entitled? Well, excuse you, but there's a difference. I should get the chance to know what's going on because isn't that the norm?" she asked before she continued, "I mean, it's not really fair for me to be dark for something you essentially showed me anyways so the liability would actually be on you."

She continued, "People like you are such hypocrites so why don't you just accept the fact that you're in the wrong all along and just spill it already? You're only making it worse for yourself Sans. You can only delay the inevitable outcome for so long before there's a breaking point!"

Kagami was tempted to attack Sans but refused to however, if the skeleton thinks he's going to slip by her, she's not going to let him. She wasn't going to back down so easily.

"This isn't like what happened in Waterfall yesterday. I see you looking around wanting to pass me so you would have a chance to leave me behind like you had been doing!"

The very mention of being left behind had Kagami feeling a subtle sense of hurt.

* i mean, this is my home. i showed you it. you want more than it. you don't have to know more. and...

He shut his eyes once more.

* ... i don't want to leave you behind. heck, if i wanted to do that, i wouldn't have followed you in. i wanted to keep an eye on you, yeah, but hey, it was also nice to share this place with you, right? plus, how else would you have heard my awesome jokes?

He winked at her. This time, though, he blinked with his right eye, keeping his left eye firmly gazed upon her.

Kagami perked up and glared at Sans with her eyes narrowed.

"Yeah, uh, no? I'm not here to hear of any of those jokes. The last time I tried to interrogate you in Waterfall, it flopped and I'm not letting you fool me again."

She was on guard for any more movements as she was still at the doors.

"Look, just let me have what I asked for and we can both be on our merry way out of this place? I'm not in the mood for anything comedic right now and like I said earlier, we're not leaving until that is fulfilled. Understand?"

* i understand.

He cocked his head to the side, gazing past Kagami and through the closed doors. With some luck, he could probably teleport past her if things got ugly. From there... could he even teleport through the hole in the roof of the flower room? He would have to try, as otherwise he was going to have to wrestle with a glowing bean girl.

* well, what do you want to know? i'll let you know if i can say.

"Don't play stupid. You know what I'm after and resisting isn't going to do you any favors." she sighed, shaking her head before she would uncross her arms as she would calm herself down just a bit to back down and stabilized herself to readjust. "Oh and one more thing.."

She felt something enveloped from within her as the glowing enveloped her hands, almost intensifying in strength, as it immediately went for Sans, to pin him down with her own psychic aura as to force the skeleton to a standstill.

"I see you looking around, possibly for an escape or something. How nice of you to be giving yourself away and if you want to leave, you must give me the answers." she mused. "Don't think I'm going to let you slip by that easily."

By the looks of things, she was determined to keep Sans trapped and believes that she is in full control of the situation.

"I mean, now that I think about it, I could probably have some fun. Perhaps treat you as a stupid toy that gets tossed around by a stupid little kid or something, I dunno. It's not like I would actually do anything, well, careless or anything like that, y'know? Just some harmless fun."

Ah. She had purple magic. Right. The kind of magic you restrain people with. That and blue magic. And green magic. He suddenly realized there was a lot of magic that was used to keep people from moving.

The aura plunged into his form and forced him onto his knees. Sweat formed on his skull as he resisted against the pull. His eyes instantly switched back to the inky blackness of his eyeholes. It didn't hurt, but it was certainly annoying having to constantly fight against the aura around him just to even keep on his knees. He wondered if this was how the kid felt when they were fighting Papyrus, Undyne, perhaps many others, with their SOUL so colorful yet their body weighed down so heavily.

It wouldn't have been so bad if he didn't feel just a twinge scared at what Kagami was musing about. He wasn't so sure that her idea of "harmless fun" was really so harmless or, well, fun. As funny as he was, he was no toy.

* hey, take it easy, kid. i haven't drank any milk today. my bones are fragile.

He tried to maintain his jovial attitude despite the circumstances. * and hey, you act like being tossed around wouldn't be fun for me too. that's the whole point of a trampoline, yeah?

If he could convince her to at least let him go, they could talk this out or, barring that, he could just... teleport out. He knew he could still do that, but it would be a lot easier to do if he wasn't getting thrown about like a ragdoll.
