Character Playlists

Hey! I like exploring music and putting together playlists for my characters. For example, I have this one for Arthur that is a few hours long and has music from the game series he’s from, old western-themed music (a few actually from that time period), and a bunch of sad or instrumental tracks. I like to listen to this playlist when writing him or when I’m just brainstorming.

The point is, I really enjoy finding new songs I’ve never heard before, and I enjoy creating playlists even more! So, if you want, I can make you a 25 song playlist for your main character, NPC, whatever. It might take me a few days but I’ll do it!

If you’re interested, just tell me the character you want the playlist to be about, the kinds of music you like listening to, and maybe when you think you’ll listen to it (for example, I have some character playlists that double as workout mixes). Then I’ll hop to it.

I'd love to see what you come up for Sigmund! I have a pretty broad taste of music, but I probably listen to instrumentals more, and I'd probably listen to a playlist like this when I work in general, not just writing.

aww yeah i need something besides synthwave to keep my wiring hype up in the middle of writing a post. My main focus is a good beat but I like when there are little things in the lyrics I can get trying to focus on it over time.

Its been a tough time trying to find Aku his kind of music that makes his presence. I have been listening to that droning music that plays every single time when he is in a scene from the show but I wish I can find more tracks of music that could get me into the evil mood. I would like to hear a playlist that is mixed with instrumental-only/cinematic music or songs. Let the creativity flow with no restrictions. I'm easy to work with and thanks for this thread!

There are a few songs in here that technically have lyrics, but theyre usually hard to understand and more for the purpose of background noise or melody/sound mumbo jumbo. I mentioned in the discord that I'm worried it's a little too all over the place, so this is subject to change. I may end up creating two separate playlists for intense/fight scenes and some more laidback "travel" music. We shall see what happens. Hope you guys like! I'm definitely open to suggestions and collaborating on this if there's interest for that, I want there to be a good mixture so everyone can enjoy, something you can just put shuffle on. So if it's too heavy in one area or you want some specific sounds lemme know and I can hook ya up, ya hear?
