Cho grew up in Republic City, the capital of the United Republic of Nations and one of the largest and most modern cities with a population of millions. His parents were caring enough, though absent, spending more time working and trying to keep food on the table and a roof over their head than actually paying attention to their kids. Cho's aptitude for Earthbending was apparent from a young age. He was able to move small rocks and slabs of stone as if it were already second nature to him.

His childhood was nothing noteworthy, until Cho turned ten. He and the rest of his family were strolling the streets of Republic city. They took a turn onto a less than savoury street. They found themselves surrounded by a group of the Triple Threat Triad, one of the most notorious criminal gangs in the city. The gang demanded anything of worth the family might be carrying on them. Cho's father refused and found himself at the mercy of the thugs. He was summarily cut down, in front of the rest of his family, along with Cho's mother. Cho fled, leaving his younger brother behind, something he regrets to this day.

Cho found himself orphaned and working with the Terra Triad, given his prowess with Earthbending. He barely managed, just about keeping himself off the streets, bringing in coin by working as an informant for the Triad. As his skill with Earthbending grew, Cho took a lot of inspiration from the Pro Bending ring, his style of bending taking a quicker, more agile style. He still showed an aptitude for the more traditional aspects of Earthbending.

Years passed under the employ of Terra, until Cho awoke in a strange place. The Crossroads.

Cho is an Anxious Elementalist. He is inexperienced and having just been thrust into a new world with new denizens, he’s a little out of his depth; leading to anxious thoughts and acting out of desperation rather than thinking things through. When forced to act, he uses his favoured element of Earth to whittle his opponents down. He’s recently learned that he is capable of using Lavabending and is slowly but surely bringing this into his arsenal.

Description: Earthbending, one of the four elemental bending arts, is the geokinetic ability to manipulate earth and rock in all their various forms, prevalent in the Earth Kingdom and the United Republic. Cho has adopted a quicker style of earthbending, only rooting himself long enough to throw his attacks. Through the use of Focus, Cho is able to Lavabend. Lavabending is a specialized sub-skill of earthbending that allows the user to manipulate molten earth. This rare ability allows the bender to phase-change earth into lava, lava into earth, and otherwise manipulate existing lava with great dexterity.

Description: The four Bending arts find their roots in four distinct Martial Arts. Cho is proficient in the Earthbending style of hand to hand combat which he uses to both attack and protect himself in a melee. This style relies on low stances, rooted power, throws and grappling to hinder his opponent. Years of training have increased his agility and endurance to a point where it takes a while for him to tire.

A black and white yin-yang amulet imbued with healing magicks by Masahir N'air. This necklace has a long, elegantly braided black cord, and is obviously made from quality material. As a physical piece of jewelry it can be snatched off or given to another person by Masa's free will. After the wearer takes damage the enchantment will automatically enter into a brief (~ten second) state of activation before healing begins. Masa's amulet contains within it the energy to heal a few nasty hits, or several less severe blows, before it must be recharged. In order to recharge the amulet one must refill it with their spiritual energies (which takes concentration and is relatively exhausting), or allow it to soak in direct and uninterrupted sunlight for an hour. Any healing done by this Amulet is completely halted if the wearer takes damage after the initial activation, necessitating an additional activation period before regaining usefulness. The activation of this enchantment is hooked into the soul of it's wearer, and as such repeated or sustained usage can and will exhaust its user.

Szeto’s Periapt is a chain necklace with an orb of black lava rock hanging at it’s center. When activated, the wearer wills a Lava Golem into existence from the surrounding earth.

10ft tall, the Lava Golem is an imposing figure of liquid rock. It attacks with eruptions of lava from its arms, which burn its target to a cinder. The stream of lava steadily reduces the size of the Lava Golem, as it uses its own body as “ammunition” for the attack.

Fish-in-The-River

Fish-in-The-River, or Fish as he normally introduces himself, is.. a bit of an enigma. He is a Tabaxi who spent the majority of his life in Waterdeep, Faerun. Prior to that, he was a member of a travelling Circus, trained in magic by the others and used as a bit of a freakshow, given the Tabaxi's relative rareness. But when he tries to recall anything beyond that, it becomes hazy. He spins a different tale to each person who asks, never giving the same answer twice.

Fish plays the part of a buffoon well. He is jovial and almost always in the mood for cracking the worst jokes. Most would probably assume he's just an idiot, but beneath the tom-foolery, Fish is streetwise and calculating. Sneaking, stealing, pickpocketing and illusory magic are all within his wheelhouse and are generally employed when it eases the burden of a task by the slightest degree.
