The clown is a Dreamscape Wanderer. Rarely a part of the tangible world, the jester traverses the collective subconscious of those dwelling in reality. Dreams are her playground, and the clown can freely manipulate the minds of others to visit or even play pranks on unsuspecting dreamers. Catching sight of her during one's slumber is said to bring about good fortune and restful sleep.
As a Wanderer, the clown does not concern herself with diplomacy, combat, or anything even remotely pressing. Her one true goal in both reality and the hypothetical world of dreams is to explore, to observe, and to have a little bit of fun while she's at it. Each new dream, a new locale. A new world to explore in the confines of one's inner mind. The infinite possibilities spurred on by these circumstances give the clown an endless amount of fun to be had, in a medium with zero bearing on the real world. No consequences, no limits!

With thousands of reported sightings spanning over numerous millennia, remarkably little is known about the curious entertainer that appears to dwell in the world which we visit every night while we sleep. As is the case with dreams as a whole, the meaning of her presence is largely up in the air. Those who remember detailed encounters with the clown generally agree on the fact that, even if the clown may visit for a single night or for weeks at a time, her presence is noted as being playful and harmless, even in the company of those who are rather averse to clowns.CHARACTER HISTORY
As previously stated, the nameless entertainer did not start appearing recently, quite far from it. Ancient hieroglyphics detail a lamb-headed trickster visiting royalty in their dreams. Renaissance-era literature and art tell stories of a vivid, jolly jester making numerous appearances in the dreams of entire cities, seemingly leaping from one mind to the next, night after night. In the late 1800's, a mime was reported silently watching dreamers from afar as their subconscious mind played out around them. More recently with the advent of the Internet, numerous individuals have congregated on websites like forums and imageboards to share experiences that they've had with a curious clown that comes either at random or in an apparent time of need, more often than not leaving those involved confused, but with a sense of satisfaction. With people now able to compare experiences, and with the rare reported case of this clown being seen in the real world, if only for a brief moment, more and more individuals are beginning to take notice. Is the clown a mere myth passed down by hearsay, an actual psychological phenomenon, or perhaps something more?
A number of individuals who report seeing this clown claim to be capable of lucid dreaming, in which they are able to freely manipulate aspects of their own dreams. Attempting to will the jester away in this manner seems to be fruitless, and the clown herself appears capable of manipulating the dreams of others as easily as the dreamers themselves.
As mentioned before, a few cases have cropped up of the clown being spotted outside of the dream world. Claims vary wildly. Some mention the clown prancing about the streets in the dead of night, while others say that she was spotted wandering about in the woods like a Bigfoot sighting, complete with questionably blurry photographic evidence. However, it’s no hoax, but it does raise questions, ones that very few are able to get a hold on the clown to get answers to.

Tapping deep into someone's subconscious, the clown can bring about vivid hallucinations of her own choosing that stimulate the eyes and ears of a target. The jester is far from a fighter, often employing this ability just for fun and comedic effect, but in a pinch it can play a critical role in battle, if she can bring herself to contribute. Iron-willed opponents are less susceptible to these tricks however, as her power in the real world is greatly lessened in comparison to her ability to manipulate proper dreams.
