Character Name: Gildarts [Clive]

Battle Style: Gildarts is a confident battlemage. Gildarts has heroic tendencies that can get him into trouble if he doesn't use his powerful crash-magic wisely and with full focus. There is a physicality in the way he fights, in addition to the utilized combination of Gravity, Crash, and Disassembly Magic.

Appearance:

Gildarts is an attractive man with scruff around his jawline in his late forties, with two prosthetic limbs. He stands a little over six feet tall with broad shoulders and has a muscular build. He often opts to not wear a shirt and has bandages swathed across his chest and abdomen, both over his scars and holding his scars in. Beneath these bandages is also a faded black Fairy Tail insignia over his chest, showing that his heart will always be with his guild and representing that he will stand up for the betterment of others. Across his attire is a scatter of tears as well as armor around his shoulders, belt, and his limbs. He wears baggy shorts that are a very wizardy blue and over his shoulders is a tattered black cloak with a sexy collar. He doesn't care much about his appearance in general since he is often on the road and haggard by its demands.

"Casual and Ready Gildarts"

*Current Appearance:
Due to a spell unbeknownst to him, Gil appears to be about sixty years old. His hair is white and shoulder length and his metallic limbs have been rusted due to time. Yet, he's still buff and in immaculate fighting shape but his skin is withered with age and wrinkles.

Personality Tendencies:
Adventurous and noble, Gildarts always acts with a good moral standard while naturally composing the manliest way to conduct himself. Confident and humble, his decisions are all his own. He’s often considered a ladies' man, rather oblivious to his surroundings, and rejects leadership as well as authority when bestowed upon him or against him. He’s a casual guy who is very charismatic and people often seem drawn to him. Perhaps, because they are drawn to what will bring about their own destruction.

Gildarts is heroic in nature and has an unparalleled inner strength as he will do whatever it takes for the greater good.

Yet, danger lies just beneath the surface of the mage. His focus moment to moment is on controlling the crash magic that creates constant destructive turmoil within him. If it gets out of hand and if his mind slips even for a second, the results could be catastrophic due to the nature of his magic. Because of this, Gildarts lives a bit more reclusive lifestyle, like a hermit but he's always on the road and tends to avoid big cities most of the time, for if he slipped there the casualties would be immense. This is the deeper source of his lack of observation unless in battle, where he shines the brightest because he's finally able to release the strenuous pressure of its build up.

Additional Character Notes: The respectable and nomadic mage has a soft spot for children and wants to be seen as a respectable mentor and elde. In addition, he has a weak spot for beautiful women and wouldn't often swear in front of either of them.

Despite being and seeming almost always absent-minded, Gildarts has knowledge, wisdom, strategy, but often lacks tact or guile. He will put things plainly.

He tends to break things around him accidentally. He's mostly aware of this fact and will have people evacuate an area if he is to begin a brawl due to his fighting style.

Battle-wise, he has a warrior's spirit and becomes one with the battle. He will often rise to any challenge, but warn his opponent before a match. He is unrelenting and will do what it takes to win or get what he wants. Gildarts does have a bit of a competitive ego, however it is lighthearted. He will cede a battle if it saves lives or teaches a kid a lesson.


Character History:
In episode 76, Gildarts makes his debut in the anime, he’s a hell of a guy and infamous reputation as the guild's ace. Gildarts is an S-Class wizard who has pursued an SS- class (100- year) quest. Throughout the adventures that follow Natsu in the anime, there is a mystique that follows the powerful Gildarts. When he returns to the guild-his ‘home’ town that has reconstructed it’s geography due to Gildarts’ strength and basis of magic. As a man who frequently crashes through walls, at his early forties he is an elder to the guild and frequently looks after the younger generation when he is able.

The point where Gildarts is taken from the anime: just after he finds out Cana is his daughter in the Tenrou Island Arc (however his memory does not remind him of this truth). As the arc is concluded, they are attacked by the same dragon that stole his limbs. Acnologia. Gildarts, ever steady in the face of fear, he had the resolve to die and even stronger within him the conviction to live.

He finds himself in a different world. The Omniverse. He is lead to believe that Fairy Tail is still in trouble from the moment he was taken and now he is a world away from the daughter he just found out he had and thoroughly believes that his guild’s ‘life’ is still in danger. Much happens in this parallel universe. We'll get into it later.

For Gildarts, it's all a blur. He's died so many times, endured Karl Jak's relentless Abyss games and wonders why he still lives and breathes always finding himself either in another world or dead and being resurrected. He knows he has purpose, he just doesn't always know what it is. None of this stops him from partaking in life's little pleasures, nor does it stop him from taking up new responsibilities for those who cannot protect themselves.

He first landed in this universe in Mesa Roja, then endured yet another DA while on a trip so he remembers only glimpses of the pain and gore.

Occasionally, he can recall what happiness feels like, but hasn't felt it in a while.

His Current Adventure Arc: After DA '20

Gildarts woke in a shallow grave, the remainder of his youth gone, whisked away. His auburn hair depleted, replacing the flame of his youth are white hairs of age and wrinkles of squandered time. As he breaks free of his magic-induced coma, there's only a few clues for him to follow. Someone bothered to dig him a grave while he slept, burying the last traces of his life. Another person, must've made him a wooden tombstone. Just a meager scrap of bark that had the word "Stranger" etched into it. Leading away from this were a single pair of magical tracks and a gut sense that he was to follow them.

The perceptive mage was led to Cevanti, where he found himself distracted immediately by an enjoyable evening that turned into weeks of fun. But, it was back to business as in the lobby of this hotel, he met three fellow mages who beckoned him on a new dragon-slaying adventure all while he seeks an answer for who declared him dead as well as how he'd been put there. Now, he flees the city where he witnessed a double-murder and is trying to untangle the pieces of his own puzzle that goes deeper than he can even imagine.

Aelius
Meme Nickname: Little Hottie.
Source: OC

Current location: Erde Nona

Personality and tendencies: Whimsical and curious, Aelius is an amnesiac with no recollection of his history and great power at his disposal. As he is trying to define himself and being a tiny blue star, he doesn’t have much to go on. Only with an inkling of his purpose: Find your previous form and a little idea of what it was, merely a direction and feeling to take him further.

Appearance: Think Calcifer from Howl’s Moving Castle, but baby blue.

He’s covered in flames however his physical form is only tangible when he wishes it to be true. At most times, while someone might feel a warmth coming from the pale blue apparition’s direction, if he were to be unexpectedly touched the motion would go right through him.

Conceptually, his appearance is a mixture of a fallen shooting star/actual star, and a ghostly orb/spirit flame. He’s an anthropomorphized soul.

Curious abilities: Being the little shooting star that he is, he floats around everywhere and flying is natural. As though he were a ghost, this spirit-of-a god can animate objects and even temporarily possess living things as well as deceased. He can reanimate the dead.

(-This plays into his goal, which is to be reunited with his lost form, which is implied is his true body.)

There is something to be said about Aelius’s knack for resurrection. As well as his healing abilities which use his own blue spirit fire to engulf the target and heals them from within with a ‘fire of life.’

Aelius can grow in size and expand his shape. As his form is that of a little sun or flame, if he chooses to, he can burn people at intensities that he can control. However, since he is a spirit, he often burns “cool” and might be cool to the “touch.”

Interactions and relationships: Maximus, met and named him and now assists on Aelius’s quest.

NPC Name: Christine Calamity

Entity type: Shadow/Soul hunter/ Specter/ Void-filled skin suit/ villain on a murder rampage

History and Update: During DA, Christine changed when her morality finally got the best of her. She received that "soul" she'd killed thousands of men for given to her by the strongest of men. New purpose given to her from a child she adopted. Now, Christine though cursed by her regrets, no longer hungers to consume death and souls but instead, to give Slurt, her newly adopted goblin son a good life. Except, he's a bit traumatized from the entire DA ordeal, cause he was a kid and probably saw Christine his momma and protector die on screen in front of millions at the hands of an iconic serial killer.

Her eyes are brown instead of black, her hair which was once long and its color sourced from her hunger level is now chin-level short and remains plain black. She forever wears a thin, hovering black halo above her head, a crown worn by necromancers. Given to her by rank as she ascended from the depths of the void and back into the realm of the living.

She can now call upon an undead army of ghosts, most of whom are decapitated, to do her bidding. These are all people she's killed and stolen their souls and imprisoned into this frozen state.

Appearance – Tall commanding woman with blood red lips, long lashes to outline her black pupils. Hair that turns from black to blood red when she recently kills people (a feature that may last up to a day based on their ‘life’ level) their souls translate into “life’s blood” in her body. Transforming her vapor based form into one a little bit more fleshy and alive, one where she will bleed when she has red hair, and when she has black hair, smoke evaporates out of her wounds instead.

Her black eyes seem to be bewitched/hexed with extra abilities, to seek out ‘strong life forms’ or other various things. Spectral power aids her in seeing in the dark. When she teleports she becomes a puff of smoke more or less. If she were to walk by, she might radiate a chill, abnormally cold, like death’s last gasp.

She also has a subtle french accent and speaks fluent French. The occasional French word or two are added to sentences.

Personality – Fierce, dominant, fearlessly aggressive, and violent woman willing to kill anything and anyone to get what she wants. Won’t hesitate to throw a punch or verbally destroy anyone in her way. Thinks she’s the boss of everything because she is usually the most capable person in the room. Doesn’t appreciate waiting. Will usually put herself, her safety, her goals before all other things.

Ain’t afraid to finish what she’s started.

Christine is an opportunist and if she can use someone before she kills them, she will.

Possible Reactions – Will mask any fear she has, and often will intimidate others in order to gain power. Protective of Slurt.

‘Combat’ Style – Ballsy necromancer.

Ruthless, brute force with a nice mixture of nimble dexterity. Will go for an opening and tends to go with a high risk, high reward mindset. Never hesitant to cost the enemy ample blood. Will go for a quick kill if she can, but also will pin someone down and pick off their weakest parts to immobilize them before moving in for the kill. Transitions in and out of tangibility to gain the upper hand on an opponent.

She’ll go in ghost sword blazin’ because she can morph intangibly around the action as a spectral entity (teleportation is limited but she’ll still be doing some level of vapor phasing or void phasing).

Her ghost katana I suppose will be placed in the void somewhere or reduced to a ghost fork within the competition. It can’t take true shape unless she wields it since it is a piece of void attached to her piece of void.

Extra –Character habits include stomping on men.

She’s a near-vampiric hunger. When she takes a soul, the blood of the previous kill translates to her ‘veins’ and her hair turns red with their essence. When she is hungry, she has black hair. Signifying she is closer to the void. Inside her ‘veins’ is nothing but a vacuous ashy smoke. Nothing really to cut into past the skin, except varying layers of thickness of the condensed ashen matter.

Relationships – Slurt, her precious pokemon. Mommabear will do anything to protect her cub. Hell, she’d even die for that little guy. Her adopted son.
Jester, an intriguing prankster… Whom Christine respects. A friend.
Riddick… A monster that she might just regard as a friend.
Gascoigne… Someone who brings out the best possible worst in her, if given the chance. Beastie besties. If G’s blood gets on her, she might go into a killing frenzy. She likes him. Identified zaddy.
Chara… An intriguing conundrum. She likes her.
Kolith: Misses the man she fought beside. Associates him with nature.

Gildarts wills a short term image that offsets his intended target. Used for strategy and sneaking, can in no way physically affect the person interacting, only visually and with sound. The vision is often based around the environment but deviates based on his creativity. It lasts no longer than five minutes. His recharge time before he’s able to do it again, is five minutes.

Descriptor: Target’s feet (or means of transport) are frozen in stone for 5 minutes, or meshed with the ground. After the duration is up, the stone simply breaks away, as time has weakened its density. It is meant to be more of a tangle or a net, to gently incapacitate weaker foe. As the ranks increase with this one, the amount frozen would rise as well. Currently Rank 1.

While the person’s feet are frozen they can still attack, they just are unable to use and move their feet, meaning Gildarts couldn’t be chased after until the stone is broken.

Gildarts can do this to up to 5 people.

Descriptor: Temporarily makes the target more suggestible. The target must be within the immediate vicinity, within ten feet of Gildarts, in order to hear his manly voice. (If it was found acceptable to affect multiple people, each one would have to be in the vicinity to get it to work. It would work on no more than 4 people at a time.) This makes the opponent(s) more suggestible, however it will not dissuade people from doing something their heart is set on doing. It may distract someone during battle slightly but it is more of a persuasion move.

This is one I’m hoping to get to work. Feel free to help, or tell me it won’t work at all if you like. I’d also be interested in having it ‘dice roll related’ as the idea comes from DND.

Gildarts’ arm and leg are able to brace and absorb damage. He does so with his steel prosthetic arm, which he controls with an extension of his magic within it (it is mostly hollow, and he is able to cast magic with both hands). When bracing with his arm, his legs are grounded and rooted in stance. If bracing with his leg, the stance is similar.

This ability affects either him or someone else, if he extends his arm.
