Hi there, y’all!
Mickey Mouse here to welcome you to the very first (sorta) edition of Multerra Book Club. With activity going up and stories getting completed, it’s as good a time as ever to start encouraging some reading of your fellow writers’ work. I know I personally always mean to read things and they get lost in the shuffle of obligations, so some incentive would be a big help!
That being said - if there’s nothing to read, there’s no Book Club, so first things first we need submissions from you. Submissions will be open for one week - from now until Sunday, July 12 (the day my car payment is due, ouch).
On July 13, I will start a new topic with the selections from that book club. This month, because there will be less time to read, I’ll only be selecting two threads to read and review.
The only rule this time around is that the thread must be complete. You can submit your thread, you can submit other people’s threads - whatever you think everyone on the site should be reading, whether it’s because it’s fantastic or because you want some feedback.
Once the two threads have been selected, you’ll have the chance to post a review of one or both in exchange for a reward. Probably tokens. Still working it out, as well as the minimum review requirements/guidelines.
Please drop your thread suggestions below. Each person (read: not each account) may submit one thread for review, and I am waiving any token costs for submitting your thread this month because I really wanna get a roster of stuff to get us started.
The selection guidelines are still under construction, so this month selections will be based purely on some personal requirements. I’d like to find a way to get as many people feedback as possible, pick threads that are long enough to have a coherent character arc but short enough to not be an overwhelming ask during DA, and find threads that feel like they capture the spirit of our setting.
