This post sets the scene and doesn't count towards my total! Battle proper will begin with Suwako's first post.

“Found ya, pal!”

Suwako Moriya’s head turned quickly and craned over her shoulder, catching sight of the intruder standing on the opposite shore of the pond. He looked to be even more diminutive in size than the frog goddess herself.

Mickey Mouse knew he was at a disadvantage here; sure, he knew Kraw pretty well from the time he’d spent here before, but this locale was clearly Suwako’s turf. He’d never been much of an aquatic fighter, so he thanked Gosh that the body of water the girl was squatting in at least had some sizable lily pads and rocks scattered about it. The surfaces would help him stand on his own two feet in a fight against the little goddess.

The mouse king wasn’t much for violence, but in the aftermath of Dante’s Abyss, he’d found himself overwhelmed with a desire to bring justice to the Crossroads. Suwako, sitting pretty on a lily pad feasting on… well, whatever child-like frog goddesses ate, needed to answer for crimes during the games. Mickey and Arthur the Cowboy had been something like friendly acquaintances -- if not quite friends, yet -- as the knells of the death tournament were wrung out, and so when the little mouse found out the little blonde goddess had shot the friendly wrangler in cold blood, she’d risen to the top of his list.

And now, finally, he’d tracked her to Kraw, to this pond. He’d make sure when she left it again, she’d be leavin’ in ‘cuffs.

“A little mouse man!” Suwako grinned, spinning her body fully towards Mickey. Her wheat-blonde hair swayed in its pigtails and her long, frog-like tongue snaked out of her mouth as a giggle escaped her lips. “To what do I owe the pleasure?”

Mickey scowled, bending his knees and holding his right arm out to the side. A flash of white-and-yellow light burst from the air between his fingers and he grasped down on the hilt of his keyblade, narrowing his eyes at Suwako.

The frog goddess opened her mouth to speak, but the metaphorical gong had been rung: Mickey Mouse had already set off, yellow sneakers bouncing off of lily pads and battle cry exploding from his little mousy mouth as he dashed across the lake, determined to make the first move and start the battle off with style -- hopefully enough style to catch Suwako off her guard.

“I’m here to make you pay,” he growled, “for shootin’ that nice cowboy!”

Suwako laughed, more heartily this time. “Oh yeah?”

Mickey’s brow furrowed. “Yeah!

Suwako gave a perplexed look as her challenger attacked, and she reveled in the feeling of power behind the mouse’s stance. Iron rings shot to her hands, meeting the challenger’s keyblade with a shearing grind as she trapped the Star Seeker between the two links.

“For shooting the cowboy? In the death tournament where he was shootin’ plenty of people? The one he signed up to die in? Even in Gensokyo that’d be a lame excuse!”

Mickey tried to pull his keyblade out with a grunt, but Suwako was an old hand with her weapons - thousands of years old - and was an old hand at sword catching, keeping it in a vice grip between the rings as she leaned forward, staring the mouse down with a smug look hidden behind her gold irises.

“That doesn't make it right!”

“What, so mortals signing up with the intent to massacre each other for some fools gold and their face on some of Karl-chan’s billboards still count as innocents? What, are you just mad you didn’t get to do it first?

“I’m not like you!”

Suwako’s tongue lolled out a bit. “You’re right. At least I’m honest. I admit I entered that death tournament to kill.”

“Listen, you don’t know the first thing about me, fella.” the former King grunted, straining to hold onto his keyblade as Suwako pulled it closer to her body, slowly forcing a disarm.

“Oh, well, while I have you completely at my mercy, why don’t you tell me where I’m wrong?”

“Well, for one thing…”

Mickey’s smile returned as the Keyblade reshaped itself in a flash of light, and Suwako’s grin melted to a wide-eyed look of horror.

“Nuts-”

The Mouse struck with a set of newly formed claws before Suwako could get a hold of the situation, and she turned a failed parry into a clumsy dodge, throwing herself onto the next lilypad.

The Mountain god took a moment to breathe, as something wet dripped from her stomach.

The girl took a deep breath as she checked with her fingers and then pulled them up to chest height. Yep. that’s the red of blood right there.

“Ya really remind me of Pete when ya gloat like that.”

“He sounds like a charmer.”

Mickey’s response was, despite the awful situation they were in, to give a quiet snicker

And also a well-aimed hammer headed straight for Suwako’s lillypad.

The Goddess groaned as she saw the massive weapon. Why the heck were all the stupidest heroes given the strongest arsenals known to man?

Nonetheless, Suwako was quicker on the draw, and with a speedy hand summoned a pair of cuffs around Mickey’s wrists. Made of soft stone, the cuffs weren’t meant to hold for long, but it did keep the surprised mouse from making a proper swing, and he face-planted on the lilypad.

“Let’s be clear here, pardner, you weren’t even around when I did the deed. He’da drawn on me clear if i hadn’t drawn on him. He’s that… rugged type.” Suwako added, a smile that did not seem to relate to pure things hanging on that statement. The goddess was quick to cut from nostalgic crushing to a vicious grin and draw her iron rings, and Mickey was just as quick to break his cuffs and smash the deadly weapons away with Star Seeker. The Mouse dove in to take his foes feet with the enchanted keyblade, but Suwako hopped neatly over it, catching herself on stone that formed atop the lilypad to give a pillar - one not even the enchanted keyblade sliced through neatly as it ground partway through the earthen stepladder.

“You didn’t know him like I did. He was a friend.” Mickey said in a low tone.

“. So, do you usually let your friends enter death tournaments? I sure wouldn’t.”

“Didn’t seem to stop you.”

“Well, I am immortal. And I’ve no objections to taking the lives of mortals who ask for it.” Suwako responded with a slurp.

“So Death is just a game to you, too!” Mickey responded with a look of disgust. The Mouse was quick to throw himself into another lunge, But Suwako refused to meet his charge evenly, hopping gracelessly to the next lilypad.

The goddess’s grin turned to a glare from the next lilypad over, crossing her arms. “Please, kiddo. I gave rain to those who needed it and fed those seeking nourishment. I was also willing to force a drought or two to remind the people of their need for worship when it counted. Death is no game to me, but after 10,000 years on this earth, wouldn’t it be pitiful if I still needed a good long cry every time a human croaked!”

Mickey’s face flushed as he heard the words, and the anger caught in the little mouse’s throat. “You… you! That’s even worse! Everyone is an important pal! Everyone should be loved, cared for, mourned, if it comes to it! We’re all worth that much! If you’ve lost sight’o that, then I’m sure not votin’ for ya.”

“-Praying for me.”

“Then I ain’t doing either o’ those!”

Suwako shrugged. “So, how about you, Mister Mouse?”

“-Mister Mouse is my father, miss! And - because Karl knew me. From before. We didn’t get along - at all, but I figured if anyone could explain this crossroads thing to me, and what had happened to everyone in the old place, he could. That’s all!”

Suwako’s grin turned larger. “You joined because you felt like investigating the world?

The god’s look to mickey was one of someone trying to hold back laughter.

“...So we were different after all, then. Instead of looking at us as worthy enemies… we were all acceptable losses?...And here Vic told me the two of you couldn’t be more different.”

The look on the mouse’s face at the proclamation was so worth it.

Mickey Mouse rolled his goshdarn eyes.

He’d dealt with a lot of bad people, in his time. Spandex-clad jerks, weirdo alien overlords, and a whole slew of tyrannical fellas just ripe for his special, Mickey Mouse brand of justice. Every single time, they tried to stand before him and posture nobly, as if their villainy was somehow rationally justifiable. He’d heard speeches of this ilk many times before, so he didn’t know why he continued to let it get to him. Nevertheless, though, Suwako’s grandstanding ticked him off royally.

He lunged. The Star Seeker swiped above Suwako’s head as the frog goddess ducked beneath it. Her childlike face contorted into a smug smirk that just served to further infuriate the mouse king; he had half a mind to knock it clean off her features, so he swung his keyblade down and connected directly with the top of Suwako’s head.

The goddess screeched, lifting her hands up to the top of her skull and applying pressure to the spot as she staggered backwards. Her big hat was thick, but Mickey had thrown all his might behind that strike, and he knew his aim had been true when he saw the girl’s pompous expression flicker and falter just a bit. The sight of her feeling the pangs of justice would’ve elicited a smile on Mickey’s own face if he hadn’t been so dang mad at her.

“Ouch,” she scowled. “That hurt. You’re a nasty mouse, aren’t you?”

Mickey didn’t hesitate to lunge again. “Nope!” he cried as he swung the keyblade once again toward Suwako’s likely already-throbbin’ noggin. “No more talking, pal!”

The girl dropped to her knees incredibly quickly, and Mickey fumbled past, the force of his strike knocking him off balance as it missed its target. He glanced back over his shoulder -- how the heck had she moved so quick?!

He stumbled to the edge of the lilypad, struggling to keep himself upright as Suwako’s jaw unhinged slightly and her long, supple tongue shot out, wrapping around his ankle and pulling him completely off his feet. His face smacked into the lilypad and he flipped over onto his back as quickly as possible, completely at Suwako’s mercy as she dragged him back towards her and lifted her iron rings up in the air.

She swung them down, lightning fast. Mickey barely had time to move his keyblade into a position to block them, the clang of the rings against the Star Seeker echoing out far too close to his ears for comfort. He sucked in a deep breath and then let it out, pushing back against the frog goddess’ assault and knocking her back just long enough for him to scramble to his feet and resume a fighting position.

“Hmph,” he grunted, “you’re fast.”

“I thought you said no more talking?” Suwako snarked, and suddenly, she’d disappeared -- or, at least, that’s sorta what it looked like to the mouse. In reality, she’d just closed the gap between them so quickly that it almost looked like she hadn’t traversed the distance at all. When she reappeared, maybe a foot at most in front of the mouse king, he had mere seconds to lean back as she swiped one of her rings at his throat. The Heart of Te Fiti, hanging around his neck, bounced off his chest, and the frog goddess’ weapon slashed right through the tiny string and sent the little green gem flying. It rolled briefly across the edge of the lilypad before bouncing into the water and being completely submerged.

Mickey’s eyes went wide, and Suwako watched as he dashed away from the conflict toward the edge of their leafy arena. She raised an eyebrow, intrigued, and made to pursue him when she saw the familiar glow of the mouse’s weapon shifting shape. Her knees bent as Mickey leapt off the lilypad, spinning in midair to aim the two pistol-shaped weapons -- the Double Arrowguns -- directly at her and fire off a volley of shots at the frog goddess. With her agile reflexes and handy iron rings, she easily batted the energy orbs away, but they distracted her long enough for Mickey to disappear beneath the surface of the pond.

So this strange relic was important, huh?

Beneath the pond’s rippling surface, Mickey glanced frantically around for the Heart. He knew the water was likely an even more appropriate domain for Suwako -- what with her strange amphibious capabilities -- but the relic he’d won from Karl Jak’s sadistic death tournament was too powerful to just lose like this. He especially couldn’t let the froggy girl get her hands on it.

The little green gem twinkled amongst the rock formations at the bottom of the pond, and Mickey Mouse made a run for it. He’d always been proud of his breast stroke, and it served him well now, his reflexes allowing him to dodge and weave through the craggly rocks toward the heart. A gloved hand swiped it up and he gazed up towards the surface; he knew he wouldn’t be able to breath down here for much longer, but he had to make sure the Heart was safe. He stuffed it into one of the many pockets lining his jacket and zipped the thing tightly shut -- then turned his eyes toward the surface.

A splash nearby foretold what, unfortunately, was doomed to happen next. His gaze fell to a grinning Suwako, and he watched helplessly as the frog girl’s gross tongue approached him at breakneck speeds, wrapping around his waist and yanking him back within striking distance of his opponent.

Down here in the depths, he couldn’t even yell about it, goshdangit.

Suwako: Suffering from a mild concussion, clouding her thoughts and slowing her reactions.
Mickey: general battering and bruising, as well as a bit of water on the lung, making moving and breathing a pain.

Suwako
Suwako forced a smile as she pulled her opponent closer. Using her tongue like this was dangerous for the little appendage - very much so - but it was worth it to get the Mouse back underwater. With a quick slap to her side, the old goddess gave her cockiest smirk as she jumped closer. Mickey readied star seeker, ready to block a strike from cold steel.

Suwako grinned. It was lucky that he’d guessed wrong for her. After all, why would she go for the obvious kill when she could play around a little more. Two hands came around the mouse and moved straight for the Mouse’s side, and probing fingers were met with a horrified look from the mouse as Suwako mouthed the words:

Coochie Coochie coo!

The mouse’s eyes opened in a mixture of horror and sheer disbelief - but not as wide as his mouth, when the off-guard mouse accidentally opened his mouth to giggle.

Suwako smiled in triumph, putting her hands up into the air as Mickey was left to choke on a mouthful of plankton. The Mouse grabbed uselessly at his throat, and Suwako opened her mouth with a sadistic look as she brought her hands apart, ring in each hand and ready to bisect a beloved historical icon.

At which point, the King’s eyes sparked up with an idea, and Suwako was left uncomfortably certain she had messed up somewhere.

Unfortunately, it took longer to realize that she had left her mouth open than it did for the enchanted sea-weed to crawl up her throat and leave her gagging, hands clutching her throat.

It only took her a few seconds for her to dislodge the plantlife, pulling out the weeds with a quick yank of her tongue, but it took her long enough to notice that the King had plunged his way out of the pond and onto the lilypad.

Mickey’s ears silently thanked the great Walt above as Suwako released a boatload of swear words not meant to be heard by a Disney character.. entirely underwater.

The mountain god pursued with a graceful hop, jumping out of the water with practiced elegance!

...And landing with a clumsy belly flop on the next lilypad over.

“...the spam is this?!” Suwako mumbled, pushing herself back up onto her feet.

The frog put a hand below her hat as she felt the effects of Mickey’s hammer blow wrap her mind in fog. “...S’not a bad weapon. What kin’a divinity’s flowing through that damn thing.”

“It’s called light.” A familiar voice called from behind her. Suwako suspected that the only reason the Mouse was talking to her now was because he couldn’t bear a sneak attack, but she didn’t know the cartoon character well enough to be sure. “Somethin’ you don’t know beans about.”

The Curse god turned with a slow grin, interrupting Mickey’s attempted attack with a tremor on the lilypad beneath him. The King dodged just in time to avoid a large wooden palm to the crotch.

Suwako cocked her head,, and lunged forward like a predator. Rock formed into armor around her hands, and settled into a pair of crab-like claws.Snapping the rocky pincers, she thrust them for Mickey’s gut with gusto, but Mickey was quick to summon his own claws and grab hold. The Mouse grit his teeth, unwilling to give an inch.

Suwako gave a nod, and then a sigh. Then, a chuckle, and then, a headbutt that took advantage of Mick’s pre-occupied hands with a nice hard whack right on the Mouse’s nose that left Mickey springing back to the next lily-pad and covering his snoot.

Suwako refused to give him a moment of rest, and sent the mouse tumbling with a bonsai grown straight under his feet. Seems he still had enough spring in his step to dodge!.

“Well, shucks, Mickey Mouse!” Suwako ambled with a grin, leaning into one hand to hide the fact she was using the act to recover from the headache that was making it hard to move. Maybe a post-concussion headbutt wasn’t the smartest idea?

Suwako just shrugged, before walking forward, carefully moving from lilypad to lilypad as she chased the keyblade master down.

“I could give a speech about how now I’m really taking this seriously, but honestly… I’ve seen your shows. You’ve heard the speeches. They probably don’t mean much to ya.” Suwako noted with a sigh, and Mickey gave an audible sigh of relief
“So instead, guess I’ll just show instead o’ tell.”

And with that, Suwako charged forward, rings in hand. The next few strikes clanged against the Star Seeker with lightning speed, putting her raw bursts of speed against her Agile foe’s footwork.. The Goddess struck for a low blow against Mickey, and the Mouse was quick to hop over the strike again. This time, Suwako left caltrops below Mickey’s feet, and the smaller fighter had to twist his feet to avoid punctured feet. The Former king was successful, against all odds, but Suwako knew when to take advantage, and she delivered a boot to the side of the keyblade master’s head so hard it sent Mickey towards the water. The disney King was quick to grab the side of the lilypad and use it to spring back at Suwako, but the god sidestepped with a smile, dragging her rings along the bottom of the pad as she went, ripping a hole in the middle of the platform.

“Oh, cornfeathers-” Mickey swore, taking a deep breath as he got ready for another trip into the drink-

And finding himself surprised as he found himself hanging in the air. Instead of a watery grave, the old goddess used the mouse’s distraction with another trip to the drink to grab Mickey Mouse by the throat, slam his body into the moist surface of the sinking lilypad, and put a knee on his chest. After all, if Mickey Mouse was going to suffocate to death, Suwako wanted to do it personally.

Mickey Mouse fought to catch his breath.

Suwako’s body was tiny, but formidable, and her knee placed on his small chest was already causing his lungs to work overtime. He reached up with a gloved hand and wrapped his fingers as much as he could around the frog goddess’ leg, trying to heave her off to no avail. Against his better judgment, he released his grip on the Star Seeker and grasped her knee with his other hand as well, shoving as hard as he could. She didn’t budge.

“Gotcha now, mouse,” she sneered, and Mickey’s brow furrowed. He wasn’t gonna lose to this little lady, no sir-ee. She could take her cocky attitude and go kick rocks somewhere, as far as he was concerned -- but that meant he would have to teach her a lesson first.

He sucked in as much air as Suwako’s hand around his throat and knee on his chest would allow, and managed to spit out one word, albeit a very long one. “Super… cali… fragi… listic… expialidocious!

In a flash, he practically vanished. His full neck slipped from Suwako’s grasp, and her knee slid to the lilypad as the mouse transformed from his normal, three-dimensional self to something more akin to a paper version. He couldn’t really move, so he simply watched as the frog girl slid through the space where his fuller form had disappeared. She turned as she plummeted toward the damp surface of the lily pad, eyes going wide with either wonder or confusion at the sight of the two-dimensional mouse. He simply smirked, which was as much as he could muster in this form.

“What the f -- ” she prepared to curse. Before the expletive could leave her age-old lips, however, she splashed into the hole she’d created minutes before in the mushy platform and plunged into the depths of the pond.

Mickey sprang back to life, his whole body emerging from its two-dimensional shell and stepping back from the puddle. He reached out a hand and his keyblade flew into his grip; as his four fingers wrapped around its hilt, his knees bent into a fighting stance. He may have managed to subdue Suwako Moriya for a second, but the girl was feisty, and the water was basically her domain; he knew she wasn’t going down that easily.

Much to his surprise, the water grew strangely still, and remained that way for several moments. Mickey Mouse wasn’t confident enough to believe that he had defeated the frog goddess; no, he’d been in many a battle before, and knew what the end of a fight looked like. This decidedly wasn’t it; and yet, Suwako hadn’t emerged. What was the girl planning? He glanced anxiously around, trying to make sure she hadn’t popped out of the water somewhere else in this goshdang pond. He scolded himself a little bit -- why hadn’t he been smarter and drawn her some place that she couldn’t swim around like a darn tadpole?!

A splash nearby drew his attention, and he whipped toward the noise.

No Suwako.

The heck?

That was when he felt it -- the slash of one of Suwako’s iron rings across his back. As he gazed at the spot where the splash had come from, he noticed the smallest bit of tree sticking out of the water. His face contorted into a scowl as he realized the goddess had used his own paranoia against him. He’d known she was smart, but she was smarter and more devious than he’d given her credit for -- and sadistic, to boot. Although the amount of blood spurting out of the slash wound in his back was already significant, he could still hear the frog girl’s cackle over the pounding of his heart beat now all too present in his ears.

He crashed into the sopping wet surface of the lilypad, blood gushing out of his back and turning the lingering, displaced water around him a deep shade of crimson. He heard another battle cry, and another cackle, coming from above him. His face was firmly planted in the ground, but he could almost envision the girl lifting her iron ring above her head for the death blow.

“So this is how the mouse’s story ends!” she shrieked, and Mickey grunted. He pushed on the lilypad, spinning himself around and aiming the keyblade up into the air. Its tip pointed directly at Suwako’s midsection. He closed his eyes as a bright flash of white light exploded in front of him, and the Star Seeker shifted form into the Hyper Hammer just quick enough to smash into Suwako’s gut and send her flying backwards. She screeched, now, landing with a thud on the opposite side of the lilypad, as Mickey Mouse heaved a few difficult breaths and attempted to sit up in the pool of his own blood.

Flower, gleam and glow…

Suwako didn’t remain on her back long. She pushed herself off the ground, chuckling a little bit under her breath as she prepped her iron rings. “So ya got me…”

Let your power shine…

A tiny splash told Mickey that his opponent was once again on the move.

Make the clock reverse, bring back what once was mine…

He placed a gloved hand on the slice across his back, and felt the magic of the healing incantation begin to flow through his fingertips.

He sang… faster.

Heal what has been hurt,” his voice wavered, “change the fates’ design. Save what once was lost, bring back what once was mine…

Suwako’s iron ring was inches away from his face as he felt the energy surge through his back and the wound begin to close.

What once was mine!

He lifted the Hyper Hammer up. A clang rang out through the grove, and Mickey Mouse was back on his feet, sewn up and ready for another round.

Suwako: I get the feeling you were busy or distracted, because I noticed a lot of repeating turns of phrase in this post, on top of the lateness. I'm gonna dole you out a severed left arm (at the elbow), as the ring Mickey deflected with the hammer rebounds directly back atcha. You'll probably need to stop that bleeding.
Mickey: you were also late on the deadline, but I saw fewer proofreading errors. Mickey, despite having healed his back, lost a lot of blood before doing so, and is suffering from many of the same effects one would have if they donated blood (faintness, fast but weak pulse, shortness of breath, etc.). Additionally, though you blocked the ring, your distraction in doing so caused you to forget to leave your arm and body "less rigid", to absorb shock, and your right forearm has a hairline fracture and your shoulder is dislocated.

The timer for Suwako's next post starts now.

Bleahhhgh!”

Suwako’s cry was without any sense of dignity or grace as blood flowed from an open wound.

The wounded warrior fell to her knees, her opponent jumping back with an agile flip in preparation for a sudden counter-attack - but none came, unless the vomit that flew from Suwako’s mouth counted, covering the lilypad in muck.
Suwako took a couple deep breaths, met her opponent’s eyes, and found them filled with pity.

‘...Why the long face?” Suwako managed, though the air of superiority was undercut by the sudden quietness to the tone. “...This is the point where the mortal celebrates. You know, ‘wow-ee! I’m so strong I can cut off the arm of a god! Truly, I am a legend!’” The Goddess mocked, the mocking tones undercut by ragged breathing and choked out words.

“I ain’t happy about hurtin’ anyone! Even you.”

Suwako almost fell forward at that, coughing and laughing. “Oh, gross, man. Mortals ain’t supposed to have sympathy for the gods. It’s not how it’s done.” she continued. “For how foolish would it be to sit there, mourning the stones, the soil, the river?”

Suwako pulled herself back up on her feet, hand clutching at the stump as she looked Mickey straight in the eyes. Despite the reprimand, she just saw the normal resolve flowing through his obnoxiously big eyes. It was really pissin’ her off, honestly.

“Well, let me remind ya who yer dealin’ with!”

Suwako drummed her fingers down her severed arm with a simple hum, and the mud and filth and mildew that had collected in the swamps answered her call, leaping from every corner of the little bog to into the earth god’s bleeding stump. The frog smothered a scream with gritted teeth as mildew and grime forced its way Into an open wound.

With a slam of her right fist, the collected earth solidified into what could loosely be called a replacement hand. Made of blackened mud, the fingers were too long, too thin with tips ending in crescent-shaped claws. The forearm was emaciated and bend in odd angles, and disproportionately long for Suwako’s body, and the surface seemed wet and covered in mildew.

Mickey looked completely repulsed, and Suwako gave a confident grin as she experimentally flexed her new fingers.

“Now that is how you’re supposed to look at a villain, kiddo.” Suwako taunted, licking her lips. Fresh pain rushed through her arm like a hot fire, and she hoped that Mickey wouldn’t notice how her legs wobbled. She wasn’t bleeding much anymore, but this freakish excuse for an arm hurt like hell!

Suwako pulled her tongue in to avoid biting it, Her fingers struggled to clutch her other iron ring, her last weapon, as the ironl grew slick with the blood of her palms. When she finally got a good grip, she rushed Mickey with a rapid dash, immediately closing the distance. The mouse swung his hammer again, surprised as the childish goddess switched from struggling to professional. The two weapons collided and Suwako grunted in exertion as she followed up with a slap of her new limb, the unstable appendage leaking a black mud as it Tried to slap mickey with a rough blow.. The king’s star seeker re-materialized just in time to meet the aberrant claws, and the Keyblade sliced into the slimy prosthetic, leaving a sizable gash. The Keyblade master was forced to squint as a slurry of mud, porridge-like in consistency, splattered across his face.

Suwako squinted as she saw the opening, and brought her foot forward in a low kick, her enhanced strength slamming into Mickey’s knee. The lilypad was slippery, and the mouse was sent falling on his butt, prone and defenseless Suwako stepped forward to charge, but her foot caught on the lilypad and she only succeeded in almost tripping onto her own weapon. The blood loss and pain had combined to leave her a drunken sailor on a stormy sea, and she had to struggle just to stay standing.

“G… guh?”

Suwako stumbled back as the mouse pulled himself woozily to his feet. With a growl that might as well have been a groan, she forced her legs forward, and pushed her good arm to strike with all it had left!

The attack was weakened, though - Suwako had tried for one big strike, but what came out was awkward, clumsy, slow, and easily countered. The skilled keyblader brought Star seeker up with his left hand, hooked it under the center of Suwako’s chakram, and gave a harsh twist that flung the weapon from her grip, and into the drink.

Mickey went for the metaphorical throat, stabbing straight forward with his keyblade, but his good arm was trapped by long black fingers that hooked into the mouse’s flesh, making pulling the blade tip to the ground easy as pie.

Smug eyes bore into Mickey’s own as the King was forced to kneel. “Well, I’d say you disarmed me…”

And with that, the goddess tightened her grip on Mickey’s blade, and threw a nasty left hook that the king was powerless to dodge. “But that’d be a punchline!

Mickey’s face was unguarded, and Suwako took full advantage, each punch leaving a heavy mark with her enhanced strength. The Moriya goddess landed blow after blow on the Disney icon with a cackle as the mouse ran out of breath to cry out. Suwako finished the combo with a knee into Mickey’s stomach, leaving the mouse dazed as Suwako held him up by the collar.

“Ya know, it’s been millenia since I just kicked the shit out of someone properly. Really forgot how good it feels!”
With a soft sigh, the former DA Contestant summoned a stone knife to her hands. A ritual knife in antiquity, she hadn’t held one since her recent fusion as Sutor...

“Well, you’re here with me in spirit, buddy.” She spoke to the blade with a smile, the blade poised to take his belly. “Victor Wolfe sends his regards!”

Mickey’s eyes narrowed and time seemed to slow. In actuality, nothing around the mouse king and the frog goddess changed, but the repulsive sound of Victor Wolfe’s name sent the diminutive warrior into a tizzy.

“Wolfy?!” he shouted, bending backwards and watching as Suwako’s stone dagger slashed above him. He felt a sharp pain streak through the slice in his back -- he’d healed it as much as he could, but most of the damage had been done. His legs buckled, and he fell to the lily pad, out of reach of the dagger slice but still out of commission for a few moments.

The frog goddess stumbled past him, her foot hitting a particularly damp part of their emerald-green platform. She tripped and fell face first to the lily pad, and for just a moment, Mickey Mouse took a breath.

One of his arms, he felt as he tried to push himself off the ground, was completely useless. Dangit, he cursed. What type of justice-bringer was he if he couldn’t bring this person down? She’d shot Arthur the Cowboy -- and he was here to bring judgment upon her for that. He was here to take her in, and toss her in the slammer on the Spaceboat Willie -- but he’d thus far been completely unable to seal the deal. He knew that, with his arm failing and one of Suwako’s completely sliced off, things were getting down to the wire. He might only get one more chance.

He pushed himself up.

Suwako’s disconnected arm bobbed in the water nearby; he caught it in his gaze as he rose up, and almost puked from the sight. He hated the idea that he had been responsible for that; that type of gory violence was never a part of his justice-bringing, if he could help it. He always tried to solve situations in ways that hurt as few people as possible, even the baddies. Justice was important, but killing someone -- or even hurting them real bad like the frog goddess had been -- wasn’t justice. That was just evil, goshdangit, and he wouldn’t be a party to it.

“Augghhhh,” Suwako’s voice groaned from behind him. As he sprinted across the large lilypad, he glanced over his shoulder to see the frog goddess back on her feet. She glared at him, and he knew she was about to strike.

Good.

The water around the severed arm had turned red, and Mickey found himself loath to make contact with it, but nonetheless, he dove in. A great splash of bloody water sounded out as he submerged himself, breaststroking as far as he could down below the surface of the waves.

He aimed the Star Seeker at the ground, holding it with his good arm, and underneath the water verbalized the spell as best as he could. “Voltar… Thundasir!” he glugged, and a streak of lightning burst from the tip of his keyblade. Simultaneously, a huge column of rock exploded from the lake floor, magically called forth by Suwako. It bashed into Mickey’s gut and sent him careening back out of the water. The pain shooting through his torso and back was unreal, but Suwako’s timely attack had managed to save him from the shockwave spreading across the lake surface.

The frog girl wasn’t so lucky. The lilypad was, by now, soaked, and electricity streaked across it towards her, sending bolts of lightning up her legs and body until she vibrated from the sheer power of Mickey’s thunder spell. The mouse pushed himself off of the column of rock Suwako’d summoned and fixed his gaze on his opponent below. Her remaining arm flailed and shook from the shock, and her long tongue exploded forth and zipped through the air frantically.

He scowled; this just wasn’t right. It was time to try and end this once and for all.

Bright, white light blanketed his keyblade as it turned into a huge, blue cannon. He struggled to lift it to his good shoulder and quickly pressed down on the trigger, a huge blast of golden energy charging at its tip. Finally, the mouse king released, and the Magic Launcher’s huge beam burst forth, sailing through the humid Kraw air towards Suwako. The girl’s eyes went wide and, as best she could while still recovering from the electric assault, she bent her knees and tried to get into a defensive stance. The blast sailed towards her, and Mickey’s brow furrowed.

“Stay down, goshdangit!!”
