Hi y'all!

So the staff is/has been hard at work creating a bunch of new content to launch around the time of Christmas/the New Year as a thank you for y'all continuing to be amazing writers and community members. We really want to keep expanding the playground you have to RP in, so there will be new quests, NPCs, and factions popping up in almost every corner of the galaxy!

While I'm not going to post an official release schedule (though expect the drops to start after Christmas), keep your eyes peeled on this thread where I'll be posting an official summary of all the new content released each day, leading up to (and maybe a little after) New Year's Day!

Thanks for being awesome, and head to #multerrible-planning to discuss if you'd like! I'm keeping this thread closed to the info dumps can be streamlined.

HAPPY ERDE NONA DAY!

That’s right, folks! It’s Day One of the Multerra Holiday Expansion Pack. What better way to start off this week-ish of new content than with our very own “Americana” planet (thanks, Jeff), Erde Nona!

Some may think that Erde Nona has been relatively unaffected by the Unmaking thanks to the efforts of some valiant players, but it turns out the Fallen Arbiter’s scope can be felt in a myriad of different ways. Specifically, Erde has seen an entire new faction crop up thanks to the influx of Govermorne refugees – the Clockworld Revenant, a company specializing in all your technological needs… and with a distinct eye towards destroying Jenova, the twisted Arbiter who now rules over the space where their beloved Govermorne once stood.

The Clockworld Revenant is led by Iriklis, the Clockfused Eidolon, formerly the de facto leader of Tinkerdrift on Govermorne and now the machine-in-charge of the newly formed Tinkerdrift Station on Erde. They’re seeking help to try and innovate new and exciting ways to get revenge against Jenova through the brand new faction quest, CLOCKWORK BANDITRY (...FOR SCIENCE?).

How will this new addition shake up the politics on the lush planetside? With support from the likes of Wondertainment, the ARC, and even Arcadia itself, will these Govermorne refugees find the resources they need to take their planet back from Darkseid?

Meanwhile, in Arcadia and the surrounding area, new folks are looking for your help to solve some sticky problems… namely a bunch of erstwhile newsboys in the new quest CARRYING THE BANNER and a particularly “haunted” tavern owner in WINE, ALE, AND SPIRITS.

Head to the wiki and the Erde Nona info thread for more information!

HAPPY CEVANTI DAY!

Alright, alright, alright, Multerrans, it’s Day Two of the Multerra Holiday Expansion Pack, and today we are celebrating everyone’s favorite mech-filled world, Cevanti!!

Cevanti has been through some shit, y’all. You know it, I know it… Roy Mustang sure as hell knows it. After completing wiping out Govermorne, the Unmaking tried to pull the same trick on this nice little world and it’s one (1) city, Markov, but the combined efforts of some talented players pushed them back, and sent The Fade – and the unmade version of Arbiter Ember Ramsey – into hiding.

Well, Darkseid wouldn’t be beaten so easily. Instead, he’s thrown himself headlong into recruitment, and recently, the relatively successful efforts to beat the Unmaking back has drawn two of his Unmaking Lieutenants out of hiding. Is this the next step toward finding the Fade and healing the Arbiter?!

Within the past few days or weeks, if you’re in Markov and have any sort of connections, you’ll have heard reports that these two lieutenants making themselves known crop up all the time on the communication lines. Both hailing from the Pilots’ Union, Saren Arterius and Char Aznable have been seen lurking throughout the Wastes of Cevanti. Saren has been building up an army, while Char has been making some noise wiping out scouting parties. Both of these lieutenants are the next line of defense for Darkseid, and the only real lead we have to finding Ember and healing her.

These missions won’t be easy, so it’s highly recommended that you form a party to complete them. If you tackle them alone, well… good luck. Check out SOME KIND OF SUICIDE SQUAD and THE PRODIGAL SON for more info on how to seek out these new NPCs and take them down, and congratulations to everyone on Cevanti working hard to fight the Unmaking for unlocking this next step!

In addition, Sergeant Swift – freshly back and recovered from her harrowing experience on Opealon – has some additional things to be done to fight back against the unmade in the all-new quest SERGEANT SWIFT’S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND.

HAPPY INVERXE DAY!

Apologies for skipping yesterday, y’all – got hit by the real life malaise pretty hard, which means today’s a perfect day to jump right into the all new content for Inverxe!!

As you probably have seen, Inverxe has been attacked by the Unmaking in recent days, leading to a new Fallen Arbiter – Rose Quartz – and a bunch of unfortunate developments. Read all about how they happened in "Everything Stays," then go on and try and help save everyone’s favorite spooky moon in a litany of new Unmaking quests, including AN ARBITER’S TEARS, RED ALERT, and ONLY ROOM FOR ONE HORDE ON THIS PLANET.

These developments have inspired a changing landscape for the many factions of Inverxe, including the reveal of a new player – or, well, one who’s been around for a while but is just now stepping into the light. the Izzet League, along with its draconic leader Niv-Mizzet, has emerged with eyes on some weird new science as it works toward its mysterious goal, the Great Thesis. Join them for their grand (mad) science experiment in the Azure Citadel by working on the all-new Faction Quest, LAST, BEST HOPE.

In addition, new circumstances on the moon and its adjacent station CRVIII ‘The Hub’ have led to all new ways to engage – and all new ways to fight back against the malaise – in brand new quests CAMPING THE GATES (given, potentially, by new NPC Khan Noonien Singh) and DEAL WITH THE DEVILFISH.

Go get scary, y’all!

HAPPY NOS'TALGIA DAY!

Another apology because the New Year got me off track!! It's time for everyone's favorite cartoon fantasy land, Nos'talgia!

First and foremost, I'd like to direct everyone's attention to the new wiki page for our brand new NPC in honor of our friend, Darjan, Dark Link. Special thanks to everyone who contributed to this amazing tribute to our friend.

Nos'talgia also has a bunch of new quests up for grabs -- some new unmaking business, like THE GREATEST SHOW UNEARTHED, as well as some new random world quests like THAT'S ALL FOLKS and the especially dangerous THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME!

Civil Unrest
Hello, y'all.

Content updates have been complete for all of our Worlds (more or less). I'll do a number of posts where I attempt to be a poor imitation of Jacob's earlier posts.

Kraw has 3 new quests. TEMPLE RUN-MAKING lets a veteran of the Unmaking fight receive a special prompt from Newt Scamander that will allow you to possibly uncover a secret in a recently unearthed temple. FACE TO FACE allows you to confront Koh deep in the jungles of Kraw. Lastly, you have MARK OF THE SEEKER. This is connected to a new faction deep in the jungle -- The Nora. Kraw has one new NPC, Teersa (of Horizon: Zero Dawn), whose NPC page is still under construction at the moment.

Many of these events represent some of the first radical developments on Kraw in several years. With these staff-assisted prompts, you'll have a chance to uncover some of the mystery of the primal world.

Do you have it in you?

Next up is Mesa Roja, everyone's favorite desert disk World.

Mesa Roja has a new Settlement, named the Night Vale, that is home to Cecil Gershwin Palmer. ALL HAIL THE GLOW CLOUD is a repeatable quest that features in and around Night Vale and involves clouds of dead animals. What's also been noted on Mesa is the presence of a traveling man simply dubbed The Strange Man.

Elsewhere on Mesa Roja, your opportunities to dive deeper into the Unmaking are made manifest in the connected quests DON'T DRINK THE WATER and THE BACKWATER GOSPEL. These quests will allow you to investigate and confront the spreading threat. As with many 'advanced' quests, you should make sure you attempt the Backwater Gospel with some friends.

Lastly, we have Opealon, where the Nausicaa Incident is only the starting point in a much greater tragedy. Opealon has a new NPC, new Settlement, and a new Faction (find the links by reading through this post).

The biggest change to Opealon is the beginning of what I'll dub an 'Ongoing Saga'. Read on below to see how you can influence the future of Opealon.

“One if by land, two if by sea (three if by air)”

Much has happened to Opealon over the last few months. The City of Hope was humbled by Darksied. The World’s Arbiter found itself nearly swallowed by the corruption of the Fallen One. While great sacrifices were made to keep the World from slipping over the precipice, there are now new cracks in the foundation.

Roughly thirteen years after he fled from the City of Hope and fifteen years after the last accounts of him vanished from the oral histories of Kirden Wharf, Andrew Ryan has ‘resurfaced’. His daydreams and dalliances from those nascent days in the Crossroads have been made whole—somewhere, the city of Rapture lay glittering beneath the oceans of Opealon.

Scorned for his genius and ostracized for refusing to lose his individuality to the Skylanders or degrading himself living on a barge of wood and coral, Andrew Ryan, CEO of Ryan Industries, has returned at the helm of his own monstrous armada of ADAM-infused ‘splicers’ and mechanized war machines. His goal? Dominion over the world.

As if the Unmaking wasn’t already stretching thin the morale and livelihoods of Opealon’s varied peoples, they now must contend with what has become a guerilla offensive between Ryan and what had once been the two sole ‘factions’ of Opealon. What had once simply been nighttime raids has blossomed into daytime skirmishes. Despite a common foe, Comstock and the Skylanders have gone on the record as saying that they would rather ‘burn Opealon to the ground’ (metaphorically) than debase themselves by collaborating with pirates and ‘the dreck that lives beneath.’

Now, all three sides are in open war. Kirden Wharf has become far more militarized given its de facto role as a fortified safe haven for the nomadic peoples of Opealon. The City of Hope is, somehow, even more of a military state.

Out of Character Information Drop

This faction war will be an ongoing event on Opealon that is expected to run for at least six months. In that time frame, members will be encouraged to complete the Faction Quests provided in the Opealon World Thread. As more people participate, unique quests for both solo and groups will be unlocked, and the overall ‘tides’ of the war will shift accordingly.

If the engagement is not where we’d like it to be, we (the staff) might extend the window of time as we deem fit.

Why the thirst for engagement? This event will determine the future of Opealon. The World will not be the same at the end of this event as it is now. At the end of the conflict, one of these three factions will be the sole ‘power player’ on Opealon. One faction will be destroyed/laid low, and the other faction will essentially become a dependent of the victor (what form that takes will naturally depend on who ‘wins’).

There is no ‘right’ answer to who should win. The City of Hope is xenophobic and mostly stuck in their traditional ways, but they are also the most well-positioned in the ‘greater Crossroads’. Rapture is vicious, but there’s no telling how their technology may be used to preserve the planet in the event of another Nausicaa-type incident. Lastly, the pirates may be the most inclusive of the bunch, but who is to say their ‘culture’ might not just return to its nomadic roots after this conflict?

What do you hold dear? Individuality? Freedom? Security? Innovation? Your choice may very well decide the future of Opealon.

**

Please visit the Opealon Information Thread for the quest prompts UP FROM THE DEPTHS (Skylanders), THE SUNKEN SEA (Pirates), LINK IN THE CHAIN (Rapture), which will allow you to influence this conflict.
