Physical Description:
Nola is a ant like being, her carapace, that covers the whole of her body, however has the feel of skin, being soft and pliable, it is a steel blue in color, she has a slim figure, her body ending with her large ant like abdomen positioned at her hips much like a tail. Her back has marking on it that seem to be in a dark gold color tracing along her body like tribal tattoos, heavily decorating her abdomen, chest legs, arms, and the top and back of her head.

She only stands 2'0" tall, though she is a bit taller due to her antenna if you count them anyway, and she doesn't mind going without clothing, her soft supple Carapace basically hiding everything, however she is not one to ignore customs of others, and honestly clothing simply is an accessory to her or have some utilitarian use such as pockets

Her large multifaceted eyes are a deep purple in color, and while she has lips and a human like mouth, inside she has two sets of mandibles and three tongues to help her chew and manipulate her food, though doubtful many would see this. What people may notice is that her Abdomen plumps up as she eats, and stretches a considerable amount holding large amounts of food and the like inside if she wishes.

He legs are well formed and covered with her soft supple carapace as well, as are her four arms, this being another difference between her and a more humanoid race, each hand ending in three fingers and two thumbs and each digit having a rather long broad claw on them. Her legs end in feet that each have five digits, arranged much like her hands, two shorter more broad digits on the heel of her foot for stability, and three pointing out from the front much like human toes, though they are a bit longer, just like the digits on the hands, these digits also have the large broad claws on them

As her body is covered in a Carapace, though it is soft and supple to the touch it is still somewhat rigid, there being clear joints and ridge points along her body where the plates of Carapce meet such as her wrists, ankles, hips, knees, elbows etc, etc, each section like is seems to have that faint deep gold coloring along it, as if she was wearing decorated armor.

Character History:
Nola was originally named Nola Tebar, as she was part of the Tebar Colony, when she hatched from her egg, she found she was of the high caste, basically the nobles of her people, not that this offered much in the way of benifits as it was the case of one in hundreds of such sisters.

Hatched from her egg she was given her designation as a worker, a purpose was given to her at a young age, and she spent her younger years mining and digging, moving debris and supplies around the colony, crafting weapons and armor for the soldiers, as well as furniture and the like for use on off times for others, brewing and serving food and drink, farming and hunting. She never left wanting for more, she felt content in her life as a child as it always had something to do always she had a purpose, and always she was working with others to help the colony as a whole. After a short eight years as a worker she was moved to the soldier ranks.

As a soldier she trained and drilled in combat, learning to wield multiple weapons, training her body and her kinds natural abilities and weapons, it was after this move to her new ranks though that she finally started to question things, she had thought her place was with the workers, but now she had been moved, if her place had not been there? Then was it here with the warriors? the soldiers?

She started to take to the training, her time as a worker having helped her build stamina and strength, and it was that fact that made her consider that maybe why she had been placed with the workers at first? to make her strong enough to take the training with the other soldiers? and so she settled in once more falling into the regimented life of a soldier.

But even that wasn't to last. after another eight years of this new life and routine that she had just gotten used to and settled into, she was moved once more, to an overseer position, now she was no longer toiling with the workers or drilling with the soldiers, now she was being trained to oversee them, to give them their orders, and to take command of groups of both.

Once more she tried to wrap her head around the new system and teachings, and once more she settled in, deciding that the training with the workers, then the soldiers, was to train her body and mind for the task of leading them, to under stand them and what limitations they may have. So once again she fell into the new routine and acclimated to her new duties and training.

After two more years she had reached what her people called the age of knowledge, essentially she had grown to be a full adult in the eyes of her colony. As such she was then moved again from the overseer ranks to higher learning, classes on other species and their place in their world, she was encouraged to ask questions now and she took that encouragement to heart. The first thing she did was ask what her purpose was, she had been moved three times in her life now, and never given reasons as to why. As a high Caste though she was soon made aware of one other thing she would be expected to do. Members of the high caste were trained in all positions of the colony, and expected to eventually leave the colony to found new ones, this was expected as her, and as such she needed to learn what each rank was capable of, what their tasks were, and how to do it herself as the formation of a colony would require her to work as a member of all ranks at once in the beginning.

It was also during these classes that she learned of the what the outside world thought of her people, and that there was these creatures called "Males" her people were all female, in fact she didn't even know they were called Female till this point in her classes, and she found that she would need to find a male and collect Mana from him to make more then just basic workers for her colony.

She was also taught how to make more of her kind, by concentrating her own Mana and creating an egg that would continue to collect mana passively and use it to create a new worker, with more mana from another source being needed and added to make others of her race suited to more focused tasks, such as soldiers, overseers, and high caste. a high caste egg requiring mana from one of these "Male" creatures specifically.

then it was revealed to her that her kind was seen as...pests, vermin, by the other races of her world, deep in the colony she had never seen the battles fought to defend the colony from intruders, people trying to eliminate their colony, though now she was made aware of it, and her hive mind was awakened to the whole of the colony.

She spent a further four years training and learning about the world, to better find her place in it, and how to find one of these "male" creatures so she could start her own colony. At this time the colony was attacked by a concentrated effort of the other races, Sharp ears, Plains, Hairs, Greens, Hair foots, and weirdos, all races that considered them to be nothing more then a pest race.

The colonies outer defenses were overwhelmed almost at once, the combined forces of the other races having gathered massive numbers and used their destructive magics and weapons to lay waste to their defenders and the strong walls of the colony, rending a massive hole in the main structure and allowing them to enter the hive proper.

What followed was a running battle inside their own Colony, as fire, water, and acid magics were used on their defenders to weaken and kill them, As part of the high caste Nola was forced to evacuate despite her want to help the defenders, escorted down a secret passage to exit the colony from hidden tunnels she was told she was no longer of the colony of Tebar, this attack had caused them to usher her and her other sisters out into the world to make new colonies, their hive mind was cut to protect them from the sights and sounds of the battle, and taught how to awaken it in their own daughters. Then the guards turned and returned to the Colony, the new generation left to survive, as the battle inside was clearly not one that could be won but they were members of the Tebar colony.

Travel was hard for her, though eventually she managed to put a distance from her old hive, it hurt her to leave, however she understood this was her purpose, for increased chances that they would survive and they they couldn't all be caught at once, her and her sisters all fled in different directions.

Finally after a weeks travel without sleep or rest of any kind, she found a safe place to hide and let herself drift to sleep. Upon awakening she found herself in a place that was not where she fell asleep, and she tried to open her hive mind to her sisters, only to be met with silence, she was the only one of her old colony...maybe of her kind...here, and so she decided to continue the task she was given, to raise a new colony, though as she left her hiding place, she could clearly tell, she would need to learn about this new world first.
