He laid there, slowly takng a breath. The smell was of fresh rain, moist air and tasted of undergrowth. He took another breath, smelling the same things but also the hint of iron, slightly rusted. It was blood. His senses flared as he tried to discern where he was, while he also tried to remember what had happenend last. Everything felt foggy other than the urgency to open his eyes and see what was going on. His eyes jutted open, or so he thought, and there was nothing in his vision but a murky white color. He tried to move but nothing happened.

This felt almost familiar to him.

A warm hand rested upon what he could guess was his chest, "Retane, listen to me and follow the sound of my voice. I know you are in there, and there are a lot of questions, but I need you to focus on me. Focus on me and only my voice."

As the voice spoke Retane could hear cries in the background, and could feel sadness and confusion in the air.

"Retane. Focus on me. My name is Enroshia, and I am your friend. We all are."

Retane felt as if he attempted to look around and tried to focus, but there were whimpers and he still couldn't see anything. All he felt was warmth on his chest, almost beckoning him to, but for some reason something was causing him to be apprehensive.

"Am I dead?" Retane spat out. He felt a warm liquid spew from what should be his mouth.

"No, Retane," a familiar voice called as he felt warmth in two other spots of what should be a body. "I'm here with your daughter, and while we dont know where we are in there, we are going to try and heal you."

Daughter? He had kids. His mind raced. He had six. No, he had seven. Or six? One was dead. No. Retane had given his life to safe them all right? What was going on?

"He isn't focusing, Alaina. Naturae. We need him to focus." It was Enroshia that seemed to be stern with the other two.

Naturae. That was his one and only daughter. He remembered. What did he do to have her trying to save him? He knew he never meant to be a burden.

"Dad." He knew her sweet voice and if he cried, he felt the tear swept away. "Listen Dad. They tell me you are lost but there's a chance that you can hear me, so I need you to listen to me and come to me. You promised me it would all be ok, and that Lone would be here, but without you or her here I would be lost. They don't know our connection like me and you do, so, please come, back to me."

Retane felt as if he tried to answer her call and tried to remember Lone and when he did all he could do was see a set of sad eyes.

"It's been hours and nothing's working right?" There was a voice that came off as sad, but Retane felt this one was usually more energetic, and there seemed to be alot of people talking him agaisnt something and suggested there was another way.

There was a hard sound of metal clanking and a few murmurs followed by a single voice, "This ones only because I believe in you."

It was then that Retane felt a figure over him and two hands grab the back of his head and for an instant could see a dragon coming at him.

A dragon came at him and for a moment things felt tranquil. If only for a moment. After that, there were memories that rushed towards him in flux, and reverberating sound of laughs, sobs, cheers of joy and cries pf pain. Shrieks of and roars mixed from agony and force of power. He knew all of this but he wasn't sure he wanted to take it all in.

"N-no." He stammered. If his words reached out to anyone, he wouldn't have known. " I remember! I died! I'm not suppose to be here! Or is this my torment for everything? I don't understand!"

In the murkiness that he could see, there was a golden form with a hand extended towards him. "Yeah", The figure laughed slightly, " You died, on purpose. Came back again to save everyone, and died again, to save everyone once again. I guess it's called dying? Ceasing yourself to exist? Giving up your life force? Nixing your soul?"

There was a slight pause as the Namekian tried to gather his surroundings and everything that was going on. Yes, he remembered now. He was Retane, a Namekian Warrior and creator of his own clan. In front of him stood...

The Emerald Warrior paused for a moment as he tried to focus fully on the Golden One. He struggled deep within for the name until there was a thud as the golden mask in the shape of a dragon's head was flung in between the two. "Arith!"

"Yeah, That's me." The Lythian came into full view, for the most part, from the glossy silhouette that initially was his figure. He stood there, in his golden armor, sabers strapped to his back. He was without his helm, and could be seen as a human with blonde locks. The one part that seemed odd was that the left side, there was nothing there.

Retane accepted the hand, both grasping the other's wrist as the Lythian pulled him up. The Namekian narrowed his eyes, "Something wrong?"

Arith reached for his face, but paused for a moment and dropped his hand and looked away. "No. I think everything is fine."

Arith's visible eye looked in the direction of the Dragon Helm and there was a pause as Retane matched his gaze. The helm itself, had a torn gash on a single side of the face sinking the metal nearly an inch inward and it was almost as if there was some melting going on as well. The two met each others glance again and there was shrug from the human and he looked towards what seemed to a looking glass on the things happening outside. "If you haven't figured it out, we are in your head right now."

The Namekian gave a nod letting his own gaze look through what seemed to be a blurry out of body experience. From what he could tell his own corpse laid there right side up, and there was a figure, naked, collapsed on top of him. There were others surrounding them. trying to pull them apart. Retane noticed the golden hair and looked back to his comrade, "Are you laying on top of me naked?"

The Lythian ran his hand through his mane and looked away. "I don't have a clue what you are talking about." The was a moment of pause before he looked upwards with a sigh, "How much do you remember?"

Retane paused for a moment, noting that he was averting from the topic at hand, but realized that he wasn't sure. "I remember... some, but I'm not sure. I remember you. You usually wear that mask. I remember I have kids. A daughter, her name is Naturae." He took a deep breath as he looked to the ground. Alaina, was a friend. Or a friend of a friend? An ally maybe? Enroshia is a friend too, I think? My connection to you is him. Right?"

Arith stood there, not speaking as he let the question he had ask trigger the Namek to search for everything.

"My name is Retane, and I am a Namekian. But I am dead. Or I should be. I feel as if I have caused a lot of people pain and suffering just by being in existence. I know deep down I am not suppose to be here, but I don't understand it at all." He paused for a moment, trying to gather all the facts he could remember. "None of this makes any sense at all. I feel as if my body shouldn't be here, or there or whatever. I feel as if I know this 'Lone' person closely, almost intimately, but I cant remember why, nor why they aren't there like I promised?"

Arith gave a nod, half face and all, "Well, I'm here to try and help you out." The Lythian closed his eyes for a moment almost as if trying to remember something. " Going to need you to trust me on this one and relax. I'm not sure how painful this is going to be, so please just trust me and relax."

"I almost wonder if I should, since you said it twice. " Retane let a smirk cross his face. " But fine, I trust you, and I'm relaxed. At least as much as I am gonne b-"

As the Namekian spoke, Arith had charged his hands with a white and black orb and had begun to wave his hands around a few times in a strange pattern, only to slam them together and shout, "WHEN DARKNESS MEETS LIGHT! YOU REMEMBER!"

There was a flash of grey light then, nothing. Arith shrugged his shoulders as Retane looked confused. "Nothing? Really? Ok, how about this" Arith placed his hand on Ret's forehead and there was a white flash.

----------

He looked on from above, or at least it felt like he was. He wasn't a he at all, but nothing more than a dispersed memory that should have been long forgotten. So why was he here? Why was he looking upon a plane once more, if he was no longer?

"NO!!!! LONE!!!!" A young green one called out, as some dark force aimed to take out a taller figure and a large blue wolf leapt in front of man, saving the green and silver one from ultimate destruction. He knew the young girl, he knew the man, and he knew the wolf. He didn't know why and couldn't understand it but deep down, he knew. He couldn't even explain the way he felt when the wolf took the hit but, he knew he wanted to roar out in anger. However, he had no voice to do so.

The familiar green and silver figure knelt over the wolf, a laugh erupting from the opposite side of the field and cries, from the young one, on the other. The Overseer felt anxious as the wolf took it's last breath, and would have wept if it had tears to weep. But why? ? He tried his best to focus on the events down below, if 'below' was the best term to describe it..

---

As the smoke cleared, the first born still stood, his flesh smoking and charred. His violet blood dripping from multiple lacerations. The Namekain dropped his arms and looked to the wolf that laid in front of him. "Lone... Why?" The Namekian asked in short breaths trying to regain his stamina. His foe had sent what was an attempt at a killing blow and Lone, the wolf ad leapt in the way, taking the brunt of the damage. Maleficus Nova, son of standing there bleeding with his jade and pink skin. Unlike the other Namekians there he seemed to stick out the most. His right upper arm and pectoral area was silverish and metallic, though seemed to be real flesh, as the bruises that ran across them leaked his life force.

The large blue wolf, only let out a low whimper as the life began to leave her eyes. Nova, shook his head and knelt down. The wolf had once been the embodiment of his father, Retane's soul. At least up to the part where they had fused and he had given Lone, her own life to live. Being the God of Death had seemed to have it's perks it seemed. Still Mal Nova felt a kinship with the Dire Wolf and deep down he knew the feeling was mutual. The Imperfect Namek wasn't akin to, however, people getting hurt over him. It was his job to do the dirty work. No one else's.

"NO!!! LONE!!!!" It was Naturae that screamed at the top of her lungs. She struggled against those holding her back but it was futile. Still she kept trying.

Maleficus Nova glanced at his little sister's direction and shook his head as he turned back to his opponent. The masked man that had done the damage, simply chuckled at the pain he had caused. The Imperfect Namekian could only shake his head further as he knelt down and placed a hand upon Lone's rips. He hunted for a pulse and slowly sent multiple shock waves throughout her, while trying to heal her at the same time, but only squirts of the wolfs blood still kept shooting out, causing an even more horrific scene.

Multiple Ninja and Nameks started to dash to aide Retane's Legacy, but with a single hand he stopped them as he outstretched it, letting out a growl. "DON'T YOU THINK ABOUT TOUCHING HER!"

The Imperfect Namek could hear the mixture of Naturae's crying and his foe's laughing as he watched his own life force leak out and mix with Lone's only to saturate the planet. Mal let out a sigh as a tear drop fell from his check and splashed into the muddied ground and he gently closed Lone's eyes forever, "I'm Sorry."

"What was that?" The Masked Man chuckled. He stood there, a grey humanoid, wearing a grey and black outfit, only his eyes able to be seen.

"I said I'm sorry." The First Born of Retane spoke louder. "I'm sorry to everyone that it's come to this." Mal Nova, still shaking his head, stood up. It was then that he had resigned himself to the fact that he would have to do the one thing he promised he would never do. He was near out of energy, his father was gone. Lone was dead. Raditz, 18, and Kaaden, refused to intervene in the matter anymore. Super Namek didn't work. Nor did his Ultimate Namekian power. His ascended teir didn't even work. Nothing did. There was only thing left to do.

"Master! NO!" Tamsin was the next to scream out, as she knew what was about to happen. She could read his mind and could sense what he planned.

Nova threw his hands from his body as he took a deep breath, extending them outward, a white orb forming in one and a black in the other.

"This shit again?" The Masked Voidbringer laughed.

"Open those portals one more time. Because I'm about to show you and your army and anyone else where you fucked up! " Nova's upper lip twitched as his veins in his forehead bulged.

"Oh like this? You want more?" The Voidmaster waved a hand, his eyes gleaming with joy as a void tore threw the very existence behind him..

"Yes. Now, prepare to die, because, like I told you before, and you may have forgot, but I am Retane's Son. There are things about that, that you don't understand. First off, that I am truly perfection and and am better in him so many ways. You forget that my father was simply a Namekian. I am the Imperfect Namek and am stronger than him. I've beaten my own father before to prove it, but there is another reason that I am called the Demon of Namek, and I'm sorry to my kin and my friends but it's time to end this."

Mal shook his head for the final time, knowing that he had made his mind up, "Guess I'll see you soon, if you are still there, father!" He slammed the two orbs together, as if trying to force them to together, a mixture of black and white aura erupting around him as he began to do so.

The Namekian's arms seemed to become more bulky and corded and even started to shake slightly as his head looked towards the Servus agent, "I'm sorry, Tamsin. I know I promised you I would never do this, but I don't see any other option. You are free, now" He switched his eyes to his younger sister. " Naturae, this is all my fault, please keep strong..."

He took a long deep breath and scanned the others, "All of you are my family, and I"m sorry it came to this. Had I had thought it was going to be this bad I would have done this long ago." Tears and sweat began to pour from the Imperfect Namek, without his ability to stop it. Tamsin met his eyes and tears began to match him. Maleficus Nova, The New Evil, could only try to force a smile, "If Father would been here. He may have even smiled. I'm sorry but forgive me for what's about to happen..."

Many of the Horsemen looked to and fro trying to figure out what was going on, all but Tamsin.

"WHEN DARK MEETS LIGHT", Maleficus shouted. The Namekian's tears were now his violet life force, mixing with his sweat, forcing streams of a light purple to pour down his face.He couldn't see the Servus Maid anymore so looked back to his target, who was most likely thinking it was about to be an attack on him, but it was going to be something much more different. "I, MALEFCUS NOVA, SON OF RETANE, THE GOD OF DEATH", The Jade Fiend struggled for a moment, nearly wavering as he thought about the look on Tamsin's face, but dug deep, knowing no one else should have to die, other than his enemies and those that wanted to hurt his people.. "AGREE TO TO MY BIRTHRIGHT!"

There was a moment, if only brief that he had a chance to change his mind.

He didn't.

"DEMON FORM!!!"

" NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Tamsin broke free and ran towards her master but was sent backwards by the power as he pulled the orbs apart and slammed them once again. There was a flash of light and everyone seemed to be blinded momentarily

Above the commotion only Tamsin could be heard crying, "You guys don't know what we just unleashed."

"No! I need you to think deeper into the past!" Somewhere off in the distance, Arith called out, beckoning Retane away from his incoorpreal form. "Further! I need you to remember why it all started! You have to know! YOU MUST REMEMBER!"

The voice echoed in his head and there was a flash of lights as things started to run in reverse. It was slower than expected and the Namkeian found himself looking on at a few scenes, most of them he couldn't understand. Nor was he sure he wanted to. Deep down he felt what might be descrbed as sadness, yet he was unsure why.

Then there was another flash and for a moment he looked down upon himself, stepping out of a portal. As he did, it was as if the Namekian became his own entity.

----

Retane stepped through the portal with Enroshia following close behind. It didn't take but a few moments for the Emerald Warrior to inhale and to know he was back on Earth, in his own realm. The Emerald Warrior looked back through the opening, meeting the eyes of five of his offspring and the rest of The Horsemen he would be leaving behind to carry on their own legacy. Some of the eyes were wet while others faltered, but stayed dry. Deep down somewhere in the Namekian's gut he wanted to try and offer them comfort, perhaps tell them that he would see them again. The God of Death didn't because he knew that it would be a lie.

A single tear left his eye as he offered a weak smile. It would be the last time they would ever see him again. As the portal closed he turned and let out a deep breath, shaking his face free of the drop.

The Namekian had just left Omniverse and it was bittersweet, if that word would even come close to how he was feeling. Retane had become strong enough to rip free of the curse that had once weekend him and sent him into the Limbo. He had just powered up and with the help of Enroshia, had opened a rift, allowing Enro's own comrades from Lythia to return to their own plane, as well as help the two come back to their own plane in his own Universe.

Retane gathered himself after a few moments and looked to the Mystic Swordsman. Enroshia met his gaze with his long white hair, his hands tense and wide open as they both knew the next steps that would happen. First the Emerald Fiends's eyes flashed a bright green light, and both figures attire changed from inverted green and orange, to much darker versions with cloaked hoods, covering them both. The Namekian gave a nod, " You know what to do next."

The Lythian gave a nod as he opened up a portal and looked back before he jumped through, "Try and stay alive till I get back!"

The Namekian was left alone then, if only for a minute or two. While he waited, he took a moment to take a breath and let the weight of every decision he had ever made, and was about to make, sit in. It was his own actions that had lead him to this point in time, and deep down he was okay with most of it. He only wished he could have saved a few more. Retane let out a snicker as he realized how foolish it was to think such thoughts, being an Arbitrator of Heaven and Hell, as well as a God of Death.

"What's so funny?" As if on cue, a figure appeared in front of him. Retane recognized him instantly, though he was clad in different attire. The Jackal, a bipedal dogl-ike figure, who once stood as tall as the Namekian, seemed to have grown in stature and while he was still clad in Egyptian garb, it was much different. Other than the jewels and gems that sparkled in the the light, the figure wore mostly black, outlined with gold.

Retane stared on at Anusis, the Emerald Fiend's grin becoming a wicked sneer, "Your face is, kinda. You look as if you just saw a ghost."

If the Jackal was annoyed, he showed it, bearing his fangs and summoning a violet elongated scepter with an axed blade at its tip. "A ghost?" Anusis barked. "More like a soon to be distant memory. I'm not sure how you managed to escpae Limbo, but I promise you wont have to worry about that this time."

The Emerald Fiend blinked for a second, his wicked grin widening to match his foes, but adding a low growl. "You're right. I won't have to worry about it this time." Almost instnatly, Retane summoned his Reaper's Scythe in one hand, and summoned the Glaive of Dante, a wicked Pole-ax with a sharp curved blade on the front and the back was schraded spikes, in the other. "Idon't have to worry about it this time. Before this is all over you are going to wish you never lived."

Retane was the one that acted first, slashing downward with his pole-ax. The Jackal parried it away and brough the staph down in time to block the scythe from just barely collecting his ankles. Anusis was quick to respond, his eye's shooting beams of energy at the Namekian's stomach region, while the axed-scepter shot a blast at the Emerald Warrior's hand, causing the Glaive to be tossed back and stick into the ground somewhere behind him. The Namekian took the abdomen blast in stride, letting his feet dig into the ground.

The Namekian Fiend let out a low growl and slung his curved blade at his foe. The Reaper Scythe quickly changing itself into a chained weapon, and before the Ancient Egyptain could react, the chain had wrapped around the Elder-Axe while the blade had sunk deep into the Jackal's shoulder.

Anusis looked at the chained scythe and the predicament he was in and couldn't help but let out a weird, barking laugh, "I know you, Retane. This move is nothing to me." The bipedal canine reached with his free hand and removed the blade from his back. Nothing flowed. No blood. No energy. Not even sand.

The Namekian cocked his head, dropping the chains, "So, my normal moves wont work? And you have studied what you knew about me and tried to get rid of everything that you knew involved me right? Pretty much meaning that I should just give in to you and accept my fate?"

Anusis grinned, a low growl following, "Exactly."

The Former God of Death gave a nod and fell to his knees, with his head bent down, extending his neck. "Then I guess you are the stronger of the two, and I only ask that you are quick about it."

The Current God of Death could only let out a chuckle, raising his axe, not to kill but to boast in victory. "You are right! They will make monuments of this occasion, where I Killed the God That Never Was! And it will be Glorious! I will be known as Anusis the Avenger! The True God of Death, and rightful heir!"

The Emerald Fiend winced at every word, but sucked it up as he had heard the strange whirling noises as if a handful of people had stepped through what sounded like a portal. At long last, the Namekian heard the axe starting to come down. This was it. Enroshia and Retane had known this was a likely scenario and while they had a back up plan, this was the worst case one. Those coming through the portal were seconds too late to assist and they were about to watch him die.

An orb of energy hit the back of the Would-Be Executioner's head, causing the axe to nearly miss Retane's antennae and sink into the ground. The two God of Death's both jerked their heads into the direction of the blast, both seeing a huge blue Dire Wolf looking back at their direction. Enroshia, Retane's son, Maleficus Nova, and his closest companion Tamsin stood close to the over sized wolf and before anything could be said, the Blue Canine charged at Anusis. The God let out a growl bringing his Elder Poleaxe up and down upon the charging wolf as she leapt.

He met with thin air.

The wolf had turned itself incorporeal as the blade was close to connecting and passed through it and it's foe. The Wolf continued, brushing it's tail across Retane's chin as it passed by and ran a few feet back, making some distance, as the Former God of Death took the moment to leap back and meet her.

As Anusis turned around to see where the wolf had went, he saw a weird sight. Retane stood there, a single hand resting on the wolf's head. The Namekian took in a deep breath, letting out a low growl, before answering the confused face of the Current God of Death. "This is Lone. She once harbored my soul. After I became the God of Death, we split ourselves apart. I let her be her own self. When I was working on becoming higher and stronger, I messed up and unlocked a path I couldn't control. Lone sensed it and came to my aid and allowed me to share my burden with her, Lone's innocence being able to contain and control the Dark."

Retane paused for a moment as he glanced to Respawne, his son, who had taken the name Maleficus Nova. He looked to Tamsin, who's blue eyes were staring dead at him. Before anything else could be said, the Current God of Death, barked, making the attention get turned back to him. Once he knew he had their attention, the Egyptian God let out a growl with a sneer upon his face. "So what are you trying to say, exactly? You need a dog to help you fight?"

Retane narrowed his eyes, "She's a wolf, not a mutt like you." The Emerald Fiend's hand glowed a white light, then dark, then grey as he kept his hand placed upon Lone's head. "But, what I am saying is, is that I knew someone would come after my position in the Pantheon and that people loved mine mostly. Being God of Death, people think it just means killing things and all that. But, what i'm saying is, after I realized the potential I had, I could unlock a devastating power. I called it Demon Form. I couldn't control it. But with Lone's help, because we were once the same being. She helped me lock it away."

Retane looked again to Mal Nova, and his Second-in-Command, noting they were actually listening. Their eyes told him enough that they seemed to know what he was talking about. The Emerald Fiend couldn't help but feel proud for a moment, and sad the next. It would be short lived, for now at least, as he turned his gaze back to his foe.

By now the auras of both Lone and the Eldest Namek had kicked up, their colors flashing white, black and mixtures of the two. Anusis tried to fire a beam to interrupt the shenanigans, but, an unseen barrier blocked it. The previous God of Death flashed a wicked grin, "You can't stop this. The question is, can you beat me once it's done?"

To answer the Namekian, the Egyptian growled and let out a bark. Above him a plane began to open up, deep in the sky. Retane recognized it as a pocket verse similar to one he had created himself, if not the same one, and knew it was meant to be a source of power. The Emerald Fiend didn't flinch, instead he turned his attention to his comrade. "I'm sorry Lone. Thank you for holding onto it for so long and looking after them."

Lone jumped up and pawed at the Emerald Fiend's chest, as Retane placed his hand upon her head for the last time. With a flash it was over. Lone was back to being just a Dire Wolf with no more burdens.

"Lone, do me a favor. Keep them on the right path. Protect them! Guide them!"

Lone answered scratching at the ground, but turned her eyes toward the scum that had brought them to this point. To her Anusis was a pissant that couldn't get their way, but at the same time, it was a reason it had to come to this.

Retane spread his hands one last time as a black orb and a white orb appeared in each hand, "WHEN DARKNESS MEET LIGHT!"

"WHEN LIGHT MEETS DARK!" Retane slammed the orbs together, "GOD FORM!" The Namekian's arms bulged as he crouched down, trying to use all his might to force the white and black orbs together. It looked almost as if they resisted, but this was nothing new to him. He had been down this path before, being the creator, or at least the discoverer of the Dark Meets Light techniques. ------The Emerald Warrior knew that the strength he had needed to use to push past and unlock the power should be there, and was just within his reach. He just had to dig deep and find it.---- Lone stayed there momentarily as Retane's eyes flickered red and black just for a moment, the veins in his forehead doing the same thing. Lone pawed at the Namekian's foot one last time before leaping out the shielded barrier.

Anusis took the opporunity to send a wave of violet energy dashing at the unprotected wolf. It was quickly intercepted by not one, but two blades It was Enroshia, with his fabled curved sword, Vaker, and Desion with his straight sword, Nofugi, named after his one stance agasint his current comrade, Enro. "Thought we-weren't s-upposed- to int-tervene" It was Des, the black-haired Mystic that had spoke while he nearly matched his predecessors speed.

"We aren't!" Enroshia barked as he assisted in reflecting the beam of energy deep into the sky, only to dissapte as it met its conclusion. " But, this isn't about gettinging involved. This is about someone cheating their way into a position and using a curse that could erase us all. You, me and everyone we ever cared about!"

As the beam was taken care of, Desion could only wipe his brow with his free hand and shake his head again, "Like you both wound up doing when Tamsin was at he verge of losing her life and her soul, right?"

If there was ever a time that Enroshia, the Leader of Lythians, one of the Original Mystics, was stopped in his tracks, it was now. He knew that Desoin had every right to be mad. He knew what Des was destined to be. But, for a moment, and just for a moment, he was proud that again, the Mystic had made his own choice to interfere, knowing the consequences, and not caring, and once again challenging his own authority.

Quickly he shook his pride away, seeing the pain deep within the raven-haired Elf. Enroshia realized that he had fucked up. Not once, but many times, and this was one of them. And nothing he could say to Desoin could ever make it right. The white-haired warrior and Retane had made specific choices back in the day, and could have intervened many times in the lives of Maleficus Nova, Tamsin Suzaku and Desoin, as well as their other comrades. Back then, they were under strict commands not to do so. Even a God and and Arbitrator had rules.

Desoin had resented Enroshia ever since that one moment they had let Tamsin nearly die, and Maleficus Nova having to house her soul by sharing his own body. The fight between Desoin and Enroshia had never been settled, and while the black haired warrior wanted to unleash his rage upon his kin, there were other things that were more important.

By now Lone had made her way to safety and looked back at the situation, only to turn her head up and bay at the now darkened sky. All eyes turned to focus on her, if only for a moment. She stood next to Tamsin and Mal Nova, and whether it was for comfort, or protection, it was anyone's guess. As she called out towards the sky, it was almost saddening, to the point of making hairs raise, and skins crawl. Maleficus Nova, the Jade Fiend and Demon of Namek, even shuddered, but even he looked from his father and towards the sky as she kept going.

There was just one person that understood Lone, and what she was saying. Only one person's eyes weren't looking to the skies either. Retane was still struggling to reach the next level. He didn't care if it killed him. The Elder Namek was so close, he could taste it. He was the only one looking at her, seeing her tears vanish into her fur, and knowing she was crying for him. She had accepted it, and there wasn't going to be anything she could do to stop him. She promised to look after them and keep them on the right path. She promised to give her life to protect them all, until her last breath. Most of all, she promised no one would ever forget what he was about to do here today.

As a tear fell from the Namekian's eye, and slowly reached the ground, he found it. The Namekian God of Death found the dormant path within him and his eyes flared with golden energy. The energy expanded outward as it encompassed the entirety of the black and white barrier and seemed to be absorbed by the Namek within. There was a moment of silence as the others, even Lone put their eyes upon the New Namekian.

"I heard you..."

"I heard you..."

It was the first words the God Form Retane spoke, as he knelt there on a single bent leg, using one hand to clutch the ground, the other resting upon his high knee, as he seemed to stabilize himself. If there was a visible aura, no one could see it. However, the grass and debris seemed to move away from him with each passing breath. The shield had vanished with the implosion of energy and for a moment, the Namekian God of Death appeared to look vulnerable. But, it seemed that his weakness was quickly diminished as he rose up.

Retane stood there as he adorned a subtle grey garment, similar to his usual look, but there was no cloak. The saturation of his cloth was neither too light nor too dark. If anyone looking were to describe it, it was the possibly the perfect balance between the two. The Namekian God couldn't help but take the time to look at his son, seeing his curious gaze, and was unable to stop himself from feeling a tad upset. He was sad that it had come to this, but as a God, and the creator of this chaos, the new Retane knew what he was destined to do.

"I heard you..." The Namekian's eyes started darting to everyone in the area, even Anusis, but finally landing upon Lone. She had stopped howling and sneezed as he looked upon her. "I heard you as you cried for me not to do this, as you begged me to find another way." Retane took a step forward, his eyes glanced to his foe for a second. "I heard you, when you did your best to make sure that our legacy would continue on, and when you finally confessed what I needed to unlock this power." Retane let out a weak grin before it turned into a frown. " I'm also sorry for the pain you endured and the sacrifice you made. It's all my fault."

Anusis barked in anger as his Axed-staph appeared in his hand and with a stomp, a blast of energy was sent in the direction of the Angelic Namekic. Retane only turned his head, and extended a hand, a cone of energy grasping and simply deflecting the blast at his foe. "Sit down until its your turn, fool!"It looked like Namekian God really was in control of the moment.

Retane didn't care nor need to know that his foe was sent sprawling backwards. He took another step toward The Second Generation of Horsemen as his sights turned upon Tamsin. "I heard you, too.. I felt you. I know everything you went through and there is nothing else I can say other than, I am sorry. I'm sorry I was too late. I never meant for you to suffer this much... Nor anyone else." There was a pause for a moment as if Retane looked through the Servus Maid, before what seemed to be a slight tear that appeared to roll down his cheek. Perhaps it was just her imagination as it seemed to dry up quickly. "You are strong, and will get much stronger, but the tears you shed, I wish that I could stop them. It's all my fault. I am deeply sorry."

Tamsins's eyes crossed and she wore confusion upon her face. Before she could question the Original Horsemen, the Elder Namek's gaze was upon his son, and her closest comrade. "I heard you the clearest. I know your rage; I know your anger; And most of all, I know your pain. It's all because of me. Had I done just about anything different, perhaps it wouldn't have come to this. Perhaps there would have been another way to save you from THIS pain."

Maleficus Nova tilted his head, glancing from his father, then to Lone, and from there, to Tamsin and finally back to his father, trying to understand everything. However, his face seemed mostly uncertain of everything that he was hearing. This was not like his father.

The Emerald Fiend looked from his son, The Jade Fiend, to stare into the eyes of his Partner in Crime, Enroshia, who stood next to Desoin. "I heard you, as well, old friend. I heard the anguish you felt, when you understood that you weren't strong enough. I knew the weight you carried, when you tried your best to look after them when I wasn't there. I'm sorry it took me so long to get to the strength you needed. But, I am glad to have met you and the other Lythian's, as well as your offspring. It will do the world here a burden once you leave for good..."

Desoin's eyes lit up with curiosity and put his focus toward his Mystic counterpart, who could only lower his blade. Des noted Enro's fingers trembling, nearly dropping one of his sacred blades. But, somehow he managed to hold on. Enro looked away for a moment, his breath a bit shaky from the words, before taking in a in a huge consumption of air and slowly releasing it back into the world, and managed to turn back around only to mutter, "I understand. Thank you for helping me the best you could, and I am sorry we couldn't have met and ended on better conditions. I've always liked you, you dificult son of a bitch."

Before Desoin could process it all, or even ponder what the two really meant, as well as pondering the meaning of 'his offspring', Retane had moved on and was standing over his prone foe who quickly rose to meet the Namekian as they stared eye to eye. Anusis snarled in anger, the other just stayed there, calm and collected. This wasn't the Retane Desoin knew before, or at least it didn't seem so. Something was off, but the Mystic couldn't pinpoint it.

"I heard you, as well. I heard you whimpering in a corner, trying to plot your revenge, not knowing that in the end it would be a failure. I felt the angst within you heart, the desire to take hold of a Throne, you thought should have been yours. I know the regret you felt as the life you so desired was stole from you, never to exist upon this plane again. All your plans, they have and will fail. I would tell you to give up now, but I know you wont..."

"Shut up you fool!" Anusis snarled once again as he swung a fist at the Emerald Warrior. Retane leapt a few feet backward. The Bipedal Canine was quick to follow up, whipping his scepter around, taking it up into the air, and bringing down upon the spot where his target should have been. The blade tasted dirt, sinking deep into the ground. The Emerald Fiend cocked his head to the side, only momentarily, to observe the frustration of his adversary, before forming and loosing an orb of energy directly to the Jackal's face.

The Elder God of Death, leapt forward with a punch, and it landed right between the eyes, just above the Dog's snout. Anusis stumbled backwards, releasing his grip upon his staphed axe and gripping at his face to protect it from a second attack. The Green Warrior, clad in grey attire, didn't hesitate, and sent his body spinning, to bring his leg around in a near full counter clock-wise manner and slammed his heel deep into the ribs of his foe. Anusis hardly budged, but the Namekian went on an assault. His fists flew in with jabs and thrusts at nearly ever part of his body with his feet doing the same.

Each impact connected with a resounded 'thwong'. Still, Retane's attacks were swift and relentless. The 'gongs' going off were loud and annoying enough to make Maleficus Nova twitch a few times and Lone put her head on the ground and attempt to cover her head with her paws. Enroshia and Desoin both turned their heads towards Mal Nova Who grunted and Used his Silence technique to manipulate the wind around them all so they wouldn't endure the sounds of the battle.

It didn't take long before it was evident that the Bipedal Canine wasn't taking much damage, but actually tanking it. Still, the Emerald Warrior pressed on attack after attack. His speed and power was obvious to all the onlooker's. There was even a golden flare on each hit, signifying the 'gong' that had been blocked. Each attack struck and each attack was bided.

"Do you hear that? Do you feel that?" Retane's voice was calm and cool as he kept attacking. "Those are the Toll's of Death", The God Form Namekian's Eyes flashed a bright Emerald flare to show the intensity of the situation.

To match Ret's glare, the Jackal snapped his hand out, with dark ruby eyes.

The Jackal gripped the Namekian by the neck, his thick, meaty fingers lifting the Emerald Warrior off of Earth's surface. Retane seemed to show little to no astonishment, perhaps only giving away the slightest of flinches and letting loose a very low growl sneak through his foe's clutches. Anusis' grip tightened as he tried to choke the life from his adversary. Retane put a hand up to protest, only to have it knocked away by the Canine's free limb.

The stubborn Namek tried again, only to have the current God of Death repel the resistance and reinforce it with a gut check. The remaining oxygen managed to escape Retane's lungs and as the warrior tried to inhale, the Jackal used his second hand to tighten the grip around his throat, backing it up with flexed muscles and a lip curling snarl.

Retane tried to breathe, but his lungs were decompressed like a flat deflated balloon and his throat was the opening, dried and pressed together, not allowing fresh air to enter, no matter how much he tried.

Normally this would be a time to panic for most, but Retane wasn't most. He was exactly in the position he wanted to be in. His foe thought he had the upper hand and was dropping his guard.

As the Angelic Warrior's gaze met his foe's with a stern visage that matched the the opposing's anger, a single green limb shot up and made an attempt to match Anusis, his slender fingers wrapping , or trying to wrap around the Bipedal Canine's wide neck.in the end, it was Retane and he was always good with his hands. They were lethal deadly weapons themselves, and his claws started to dig into flesh.

However, it was weak and his foe only barked out a laugh as he realized he had weakened the Former God of Death to the point that he could barely break skin. At the pinnacle of the laugh however, things seemed to change. The Namekian's eyes focused, as his other hand gently pressed the chest of his enemy. The current God of Death hesitated as he stiffled his laugh, at the look and noticed a glow from beneath his jaw line.

Retane's hand started to glow a bright hot white color as his palm was imbued with energy. The limb was pressed against this foe and ki began to spread across Anusis' entire body, and moved rather quickly. The current God of Death could only growl, "You think that scares me!? Watch as you die before it even goes of! I'm going to snap your neck and rip your head of in front of all of your people!"

The Namekian In God Form's eyes flared once again. His muscles pulsed as he felt the appendages flex and try and wrench his neck in an attempt to sever his head from his spine. Retane flexed all of his muscles, his eyes flaring once again, as he tried to rush the move he was performing. As the lines of Ki finally wrapped around the Egyptian Canine, all Retane could do was utter a single word, and it would be the word that changed the fight immensely!

"Sanctify!"

"Sanctify!"

The word echoed throughout the area, as the bright white energy encased the Bipedal Warrior. At the mention of the name, Anusis was sent back many feet, and before anyone could understand, the Current God of Death had become what looked like a living grenade of Ki about to explode. Retane put distance between himself and his foe, his glare not moving a smudge.

The once Confident Egyptian God started to snarl in protest, but the Elder Namekian only shook his head. Anusis raised his hand to summon his axed-scepter once again. The jewel within the scepter started to crackle with energy before a dark bolt of energy shot up to the void in the sky. If the skies were one color then, they quickly darkened nearly instantly a moment later. It was as black as far as all could see, but the darkness of it all still couldn't seem to penetrate the neutral grey of the Emerald God.

Retane shook his head once again as Anusis barked and swelled in his laughter.

"Give up now or die!" The Emerald Warrior stated.

"Give up? Don't you understand? You are about to die!" The Fiend Jackal stood mighty and confident, "You recognize this Void? This source of power? You are going to die here and now and be trapped within it for eternity in the Realm up there!"

Retane let the words role off his shoulder. If he was confident, he didn't show it. If he was arrogant, he didn't show it. After a long breath however, he started. "You are wrong and right on a few things in that statement." The Namekian focused his glaring eyes again and they glowed as they had done before, but with more ferocity this time. There was another whimper off to the side and if the Emerald God could see it, he would've known that it was Lone as she pawed at Maleficus' feet. The Jade Fiend seemed to distracted at the events to pay any mind.

The the Former God of Death knew what she was doing, or at least trying to stop. A single eye had moistened underneath the bright aura and if a tear was going to fall, it was burned away by the heat. Lone turned her attention to the Serverus Maid and nuzzled at and tried to scratch at Tamsin's feet, trying to get some assistance, but still no one would give her any attention.

"I'm sorry", Retane muttered under his breath. Only four were able to hear the pick up the frequency, but still most of them were confused.

"It's been decided! It's already over!" Retane's voice buckled as he spoke. He knew what was next and everything to come. Still he continued on. The huge wolf had tried to get Enroshia's attention by licking at his fingers by now and finally turned and bit Desoin's hand, who was the closest being to the Elder Mystict. She had done it in frustruation and quickly whimpered as she caught both the attention of Enroshia and Desoin's glowering eyes, but it was the later that seemed to really take note.

"Somethings wrong!" The Raven-haired Mystic shouted!

"Stop!" Enroshia, the Elder Mystic Elf barked as he readied his hands upon his blades. "It is over!" There was a pause from the onlookers. "It was over before it started!"

The bystanders all turned to look at him as he turned his gaze to look back at them, specifically Lone. "I'm sorry, but we knew this was going to happen."

Tamsin, Desoin and even Maleficus Nova looked to the Dire wolf who finally tucked her head with a low whimper. if they had time to exchange glances they would have, but the battlefield hadn't stopped.

Retane let out a low growl, "This is my Void, you fool!" Without a hesitation the God of Death continued. "City of Trion, I Summon you! Show this mother fucker, True Hell!"

There were screams, thousands of them, as a wave of black energy and ghostly skulls charged down, encircling and encasing the Bipedal Canine. Anusis looked around, confused. He quickly became even more bewildered as he tried to use his scepter and watched it dissapear.

"What is this? What the fuck is going on?" The snarl was deep and viscous, but somewhere deep in side, somethign began to quake.

Retane shook his head once again and all Anusis could do was drop to his knees. It was almost as if he was forced there. Still, the Current God of Death wasn't done and sneered with his long snout as his eyes went red. "You think this can stop me? I can do what I once did before! Welcome to Limbo! Feel my curse, you fucking bastard!"

The Current God of Death thought he still had a chance as his eyes flashed an even darker crimson. This was the same technique that the Bipeal Canine had used on Retane long ago to banish the Namek from the realm and forced almost all to forget him. It had left the Emerald Warrior as nothing more than a blank memory that scratched at the surface of most's of his comrade's memories. Had Enroshia not marked him with the Seal of Lythia, he probably would have never made it back.

From the void, a wave of energy hit the Current God of Death, dropping him to his knees. Retane continued walking but, for a moment, could only see the image of Murasaki. It was a Samaruai garbed in purple that flashed before his eyes. No one else could see it, but it never really mattered. THe Emerald Warrior understood what was happeneing.

Another wave hit Anusis, and another vision flashed in Retane's eyes. It was Red Haired Mohekian, one of the last of his kind, Tapion. In his hands was the Brave Sword. If there ever was a time for anger and sadness and what should have been a tear flowing from Ret's eyes, none of it ever followed.

Another wave hit, and the Emerald Fiend saw the deep dark eyes of Tapion's brother, Minoshia, the Initial Leader and Creator of the Horsemen. For once in a long time, Minoshia had a smile upon his face. If the two could speak, it would've been a long conversation, but instead all Retane could do was sniffle sligtly. The image vanished and infront of him under the wave of terror and pain was Anusis.

For the final time, Retane shook his head, his own eyes glowing with an extended hand forming his favored Reaper Scythe.

"I told you." The Elder Namekian stepped into the small circle. Anusis was floored, and could hardly move. Retane, however seemed to move more easily. Without saying anything else, the Namek flipped the scythe, placing the blade against the Canine's throat. At the same time, Retane put his boot upon the back of the God of Death's neck. "I told you and I warned you! You childish bastard! You are about to take the heat of the pain of my entire kin for what you cost them. And even then, when you then when you think it's all said and done, you will feel it again, and again and again."

If Anusis could speak he may have pleaded for his life, but with the sharp blade at his neck, all he could do was whimper. When he did, Retane spat on the back of his head, 'You stupid fucking fool!"

with a huge tug and a stiff leg, the head of a jackal quickly met Planet Earths service as the scythe met Retane's boot. There should have been blood and the heaad should have rolled around for a moment, but the void above quickly evaporated the mess leaving The Emerald Warior, just hanging out with a boot on his blade.

The battle was over just as quickly as it had started. clouds that were once dark, dissipated and gave way to a blue and white sky. The portal to the tormented plane ceased to exist. All that remained as evidence of the skirmish were the on lockers, scarred earth, a blade stuck in the ground, and Retane, The Former; Now Current; One and Only, God of Death.

The Namekian Warrior turned his gaze towards those atop the hill. For most, it was a mere few passing seconds. Foe Retane, it was as if time stood still for an eternity. The sight of some of those most cherished to him stood looking down at him with steeled visages. For that split moment, Retane basked with pride knowing his Legacy would be left in good hands.

The moment passed and though still proud, the Namek had matters to tend to and things that needed to be addressed.

The Emerald Fiend strode forward closing the gap between himself and the others. As he passed the brave Sword, his hand collapsed around the hilt, freeing it from the Earth and put it to rest in the scabbard that had materialized from thin air, strapped to his back. Each step brought him nearer to his target and he looked each of them over more closely, as the distance shortened.

Salbane, an Elder Namekian with the station of a Warrior, stood off to the side in light gray attire familiar to his race; a vest, loose pants and cloth-like shoes. The wrinkles upon his face and forehead, as well as the experience twinkling through his eyes told Retane that Sal's mortal life expectancy would come to an end far before his own. Ret was sure Salbane was much than himself, thought he had never met him before the Namek had joined Maleficus Nova's squad. While it was curious, the Emerald Fiend knew that it was impossible for him to know all of his kin.

Salbane, dubbed the Gentle Hand, was weaker than Retane and Mal Nova, and had never unlocked their innate birth right as a Warrior Class Namekian; The Super Namek. Still, what he lacked in power, he made up with knowledge, wit, understanding and determination. Of all the members under the umbrella of Nova's Horsemen Unit, Sal was probably the oldest, barring the Mystics, Like Enroshia and Desoin, as their elvish heritage made it difficult to guess their ages.

Close to the Gentle Hand, nearly half his size, stood a wide-eyed eager looking teenager. Talysyn was her name, with her favored handle being Short Fuse. She was a ginger human dressed in crimson BDU's (Battle Dress Uniform), with red, black, and silver being her choice of camouflage. The Firecracker that she was, Talysyn was an Explosives Expert and a Munitions Prodigy and as her handle hinted, she was quick to put it to practice.

The young Firecracker had met up with Maleficus and Tamsin when she was only a child, bonding with them quickly and becoming a trusted member of the Horsemen. Retane had watched her from the shadows in the past and while she was as physically weak as most humans, she somehow managed to hold her own and make an impact on their missions. Literally.

Standing opposite of the two, allowing the First and Second-In-Command of the Horsemen Unit to split the two pair, were the two Mystics, Enroshia and Desoin.

Dressed in a white hoodless cloak, with a long raven mane, Desoin's visage gave off an interesting look of unease, confusion, and a hardened sternness. Often whispered as the Mind Piercer, the Elvish Warrior was one of a kind with a unique ability. He could grab his prey and with an all-seeing stare, penetrate one’s mind and soul as a way of interrogation. Retane hadn't heard of anyone ever being able to overcome the mental willpower of the Mind Piercer, though he knew some had been left broken or possibly worse, dead.

Retane knew that it wasn't Desoin's intentions to take life with his ability, and often warned his prey of the risks if they resisted. The Mystic preferred that if his foes were to fall, it be by the long sword that rest on his right hip.

Enroshia, garbed in loose dark red attire was a different story from his kin. Enroshia Myroto was not only the Original Mystic, but he was also, at one time in the distant past, their Leader. This was not his plane though, as he and his comrades (not his fellow Mystics) had been banished from their home world of Lythia. The Chosen One, his people had once called him. The Fallen, he had dubbed himself.

He sought to redeem himself by becoming stronger and finding a way to retrieve his comrades and get them back home to their own time and place and finish what they had started; Vanquishing the traitorous bastard that had killed his friends and was attempting to conquer their home.

The seasoned Elf stood there, his hands resting on his two fables curved swords. On his right his was VAKER, named after the first initials of his five friends that lost their loves when the dark warlock had stabbed them in the back, costing them their lives. Their spilled blood was fused within the tempered, metal, imbuing the blade wit magical properties. On his left, was Solo. It was rumored that it was named such for its stubbornness and desire to be wielded alone. Some had joked that it was a manifestation of Enro's own personality, or at least his former one that Retane wasn't familiar with.

Laying near by the two Mystics was Lone. The Blue Dire Wolf's head was down. the chin of her snout was pressed firmly on the ground. Her ears were lowered and as the two's gazes met, she let out a low whimper.

Lone was once literally a part of Retane. Way before The Horsemen, not long after he had been exiled from his home planet, the Namekian had managed to split a part of his very essence from himself, fuse it with energy and from it, Lone was birthed. They fused, later on, allowing Retane to achieve a new pinnacle of power and with it, the Emerald Fiend did as he once had, but this time giving her permanent life.

It was much later that he had unlocked his other tiers of power. Tiers that his clan had never achieved. Rather, his former clan. The Namekians that inhabited planet Namek were all descendants of the Grand Elder, Guru, thus they were members of the Mystic Clan. Not to confused with the race of Mystic Elves.

Retane, However, had started his own clan, dubbing it the Wolf Clan, after producing his own offspring.

Lone knew what was next. She knew the consequence of utilizing the power of Demon Form and ascending to God Form. The Dire Wolf also understood why he had done it. Retane had gotten stronger, had managed the power to rip a void through time and space. He had reversed the curse that Anusis had cast upon him and undone all that the Egyptian Jackal God had worked to erase. But it came with a cost.

The Emerald Warrior had used to much energy and without God Form, it would have all been for nothing.

Lone Understood. She didn't like it but she understood.

Retane fixed his eyes on the silver haired Servus Maid. Second-in-Command of The Horsemen Unit, and closest companion of his son, Tamsin Suzaku. Maleficus Nova would go to hell and back thrice times over for her. he had once fused her soul with his to keep her essence alive until he could undo herself sacrifice to assist him.

Once sporting a blue and white maid outfit, Tamsin donned a similar uniform, only it was green and orange. She was an expert Blade Smith, with a fascination for short edges. She was also a Master at Telekinesis, making it easy to wield all the blades on her person and even more. Which, of course, one would have to have a keen eye to note the multitude of blades strapped and concealed on her outfit.

Then there was, Maleficus Nova, Retane's Firstborn standing there clad in green and orange attire, similar to what The Emerald Fiend had usually wore himself, but with inverted colors. The Elder Namekan had went on a suicide mission, with others, to save Earth, Namek, and the rest of their Universe from insectoids known as The Hive. Before that, he had produced a single egg. His Legacy. He had named it Respawne. However the egg had cracked during a fall, and the scientist he had entrusted the egg to, had vile intentions.

After the Egg fell from the quake of turbulence when the Doctor's Ship had took off, Respawne had hatched too early, and was injured. The Doctor used Nano technololy to fix him and then twisted the kids mind to in a messed up way. Retane had lived but it took forever to find his son, and by then, it was too late. The Doctor had brainwashed him, tricked him and he had taken the Name, "Maleficus Nova, The New Evil." The Young Namekian, The Imperfect Namek, had all his father's abilities, and even surpassed Retane in a few areas.

It didn't help that Mal Nova felt abandoned by his father, but also had found out he had been manipulated by the Doctor, the man he had looked up to and trusted as a father figure. Tricked so that the man, Dr. Speignburg, could test out his nano technology at work. It made things even worst once Retane finally stepped from the shadows to intervene.

Maleficus Nova had hated Retane for everything that had happened. Had The Emerald Fiend had been there, things would have been different. It was hard to explain to his son, that Respawne, was suppose to be the reincarnation of Retane. Retane was supposed to die in that war. Respawne was suppose to take the knowledge Retane had obtained and further it. But that accident changed things. Still, slowly they started to patch things together.

Until that day of reckoning. Retane took the blame for it all, him and Enroshia. It wasn't their jobs to interfere anymore than they had, but the angry Maleficus Nova blamed Retane and them, knowing they could have helped. Retane felt the furiousity of his son that day, but also his devotion towards his people.

Now Maleficus was known as The Demon of Namek, and the Leader of The Horsemen Unit. He had turned Retane's ideas into a Legacy.

The God of Death couldn't be any prouder.

But this wasn't really the time to be proud, was it? Perhaps it was, but there was a bit of melancholy to it all. There was dire tension in the air, and he was the cause of it, or perhaps the one feeling it the most. Still, what had to be done, needed to be done, and it needed to be done swiftly.

Retane made his ascension to the top of the hill where the rest of the group stood as they waited his climb. He could have made it there quicker, but deep down inside, he knew what was going to happen, and had been struggling to find his words. As he reached the pinnacle of his destination, he took in a long slow deep breath, closing his eyes and just enjoying the smell. The smell of the fresh air, and the smell of the grass mixed with the chard earth from the battle as it mixed and swirled in his nostrils. He also took in the scent of those in front of him as if locking their smells in his memory banks.

"Listen up and listen closely. Try not to interrupt me as we don't have much time. I have some things I need to say and get off my chest, and I feel I need to get them off quickly. I have a feeling someone will want to interrupt me but, please try to let me do this." Retane eyed them individually as he started to focus. He turned his attention to Salbane and Talysyn, first. These were the two least personal to him but also very important people in his son's life.

"Salbane, old friend. I am sorry we couldn't have met on better circumstances, and maybe, just maybe if you had been my teacher back then, maybe things would have been different. But at the same time, had they had been different, maybe you wouldn't be assisting my son now?" Retane chose his words carefully.

Salbane, an Elder Warrior in his own right nodded with a smirk, "That is right old friend. Change one thing, and maybe we would not be blessed to be here today."

The God of Death did his best attempt to flash the smallest of grins at his Elder and turned his attention towards Talysyn. She seemed to be one of the most curious of the bunch, and all Retane could do was stare at her fiery eyes. If there was a word to define her pint sized body, he didn't know it, but he knew she was a whole lot of bang in a tiny stick of dynamite, ready to go off again and again. It was as if a runt of a pack of wolves have the worst bite ever, or thought they did. Retane would call it, 'Talysyn's Complex'.

"I feel as if I would insult you if I knelt down, and tried to look you in the eye, but I want to apologize for ever making you cry." There wasn't much more the Emerald Fiend could say, as he offered one of the softest facial expressions he could make.

"If you knelt down, I would punch you in the face." The Firecracker smirked. "But, it's ok. If the Great Retane can shed a tear, then I think it is ok if I do too, right?"

Rertane paused for a second realizing she had noticed before and nodded, '"Right."

He turned his sight to Enroshia then, but felt beads start to drip off his head. He tried to shake it off, and it was Lone that made made a move, standing up and moved to Ret's side, sitting down, putting her head under his hand. Desoin was the one to respond next, "What did you mean his offspring?"

Retane's eyes narrowed, "I asked not to be interrupted." The Emerald Fiend seemed to shudder very slightly. "But, if you need to know, while most Mystic Elves are rumored to be birthed from him, he only has one son, and that son is one of the top ten Mystic Elves Under The Horsemen Unit."

Des, looked to Enroshia who shook his head slightly, then back to Retane. "You are telling me that Enroshia has a son under my command and I never knew about about it?"

Retane shrugged his shoulders, "Last I checked, the son doesn't even know about it."

Desoin's eyes glowed as he turned and faced the Elf from Lythia, "You mean to tell me you have a son under my command and they don't know it and you can stand here bes-" Retane threw his free hand up and Salbane was quick to assist using his body to get between the two Mystic Elves. Enroshia never flinched. All he could do was let out a sigh.

Retane let out a low growl as he stared Desion deep in the eyes. "You might have time to deal with this later, but think about this quickly, do you really want to piss me off, right now?"

The Youngest Elf seemed to calm himself at least for the time being. Retane wasn't done though, and as he dropped his one hand, the other still rest on Lone's head. The God of Death took a breath and focused on Des. "You are strong. One of the best. I've never seen anything like you from your kind, ever. I've only seen loyalty like yours in one other person. My son should be proud to have you be one of his closest comrades."

Desoin seemed to concede his annoyance then, still seemingly perplexed by it all, and all he could do was give a nod and state clearly, "I am sorry, forgive me."

The God of Death was quick, "There is no need for apology. I can see your point. Just do me a favor and continue to assist my son to the best of your ability, even if you go on a quest to figure it out, especially with them not knowing."

Desoin hesitated for a moment, but gave a nod. Retane reached out with both his hands and braced both of them on Desoins shoulders, if only for a few moments, to let Des, know that everything was going to be ok. The Interrogator of The Horsemen Unit nodded again and the two stepped away from each other.

Retane looked to the ground focusing closely on the dull blades of grass that shook just from his aura. "I am sorry old friend. I am sorry you have to be the one that has to handle a lot of this, but I am mostly sorry for-"

Enroshia, raised a hand. "That is enough, Retane. I owe you everything and so much more. The least I can do is, be here for you."

Enroshia reached his hand out, also looking away, and touched the blade on Retane's back. There was a flash, and all Enroshia could say was, "The Young will Always be Bestowed by the Old."

Retane let out a snicker, "We are old my my friend. Yes we are." The two locked eyes, and for an instant, they remembered when they first met, and if there was a tear to show, it was burned away by the intenisity of that one moment.

The Emerald Fiend looked to Tamsin. She had a stern gaze and all Retane could do was let a low growl go, "You have something to say?"

As if on queue, The Serverus Maid took point, hovering straight to Retane's face. "You pained my Master. You have helped us, but this doesn't make us even. Give me one reason that I don't spill your blood right now?"

Retane took in a deep breath, and it was shaky. "Because I am a God, and you can't kill what is already dead."

There was a moment of silence for a second, and maybe a few saw the sweat dripping down his head. Maybe some saw that the color of his outfit had seemed to start to fade. Maybe his skin had become a more toad-like color. But it was starting to become very obvious that something was wrong with Retane.

"Re- Fath-" Maleficus tried to start. But he never finished as the God of Death whipped around the Brave Sword, scabbard and all. For probably the first time that he could remember, he knelt down on his knee, out of respect, and offered up, the Soul of The Horsemen, The Brave Sword.

"I want you to have this. It is the Heart of The Horsemen, and now it is yours. Don't think about it as what I or we have done. But think about it as a blade to represent what you want it to. This blade will take the shape of any blade a Horsemen want's it to. Just never forget why it happened, and Never doubt yourself, ever.

Ms. Suzaku, curled her lip as she took the blade and slung it to her back, "There is much I wished to say and do as punishment for how you wronged Maleficus, but I think I understand."

It was Maleficus that hesitated for a second but gave off a low growl. Retane couldn't do anything but try to answer with his own. "My son-"

Mal Nova shook his head, and his father had started, Mal Nova, in front of everyone, tears started flowing. "Y-You can't do this to me!"

Retane looked away as he pat Lone's head for the final time. "Thank you girl, for helping me get this far. No one will ever understand how much you meant to me."

For the first and last time in his life, Retane reached out and embraced his son. The Imperfect Namek's tears soaked his back and all Retane could do was whimper out his last words, "I am sorry, my son. Please forgive me. It is your time to shine and though I never said this before, I beleive in you and love you. If you ever stumble upon your brethren, teach them your ways, Maleficus Nova-"

Mal Nova stood there, for many moments hugging nothing just air.

There was a long moment of silence. It wasn't necessarily awkward, as most of them were deep within themselves about what had just transpired. Mal Nova, The Demon of Planet Namek, squeezed tight in a hugging motion, as if trying to hold onto something that wasn't there, only embracing himself. Tamsin reached up to touch his shoulder in a feeble attempt to comfort him and as she did, he turned his back to them. His shoulders and arms dropped to his side as his head hung down to the ground. The Servus Maid stood there, in her own resolve, not sure what to do or say, but refusing to look to the others for help. She would not show weakness, especially not now.

It was Enroshia that cut the silence short, knowing there were questions and confusion as to what had just happened. "He wouldn't have done it if he had any other choice." He looked to the others getting there attention. "He knew the risk was high, entering what he called God Form. Hell, going into Demon Form was risky and his God Form is on an entirely different level. As I had explained to you all on Namek, we had just planewalked from a place called the Omniverse, where Retane had landed and spent many of his years. It took a lot out of him to do that, and not only did he need Lone to assist him in recharging his energy, she held a part of him inside of her."

Lone laid there, looking to and fro, as if to look innocent, but perhaps to see who was listening and who had glanced her way.

"Now, I don't know all the details of how it happened, but I know once he ascended to his God Form, there wasn't any turning back. He had to take out Anusis and had to take him out quick. Anusis had erased Retane from this realm, and erasing him meant erasing you, Maleficus, and erasing everything that you had accomplished. He didn't and wasn't stopping there. All of you had been, or were going to be targets. Ret had to remove Anusis before Retane was cursed a second time, or worst. Retane gave up everything for his everything."

The Mystic Elf let his words sink in.

"I have to go as well, back to my own home." Desoin was the one to step up ready to protest, but Enro's hand shot up quickly. "Look, I have a war going on in my own time and place and me and a group of my men were banished to different realms and planes, similar to Retane. I have to get back there. That was always the plan. My people are waiting."

"You're peopl-" The Interrogator of The Horsemen Unit started but was interrupted again with a reinforced, hand.

"Maleficus, I know you are hurting and there are many things going through your mind, but I have a message for you, from your father." The Lythian used his free hand and opened a portal, "He wanted you to know that he is proud of you and everything you have accomplished. He wanted me to tell not to even try to achieve God Form. It's near impossible and he was a God. He said to stay away from Demon form as well. It's just as deadly to ones self and even more uncontrollable, but I am sure you know that."

Enro paused for a moment once again, trying to stow the pain in voice as he said what had to be said next.

"Just in case his other offspring, your brother's and sister, some how manage to make it here some day, let them know..." Enroshia's voice choked for a moment. "Let them know that he did what he had to do. For everyone. Hell, maybe even try to get to know them. I'm sure they could use someone to look up to." The Chosen One of Lythia looked to his portal and with the hand he had used to silence Desoin, touched his own forehead and created a small ball of energy and tossed it towards Tamsin, who caught it and looked at it for a few moments then back to the Elf.

"Retane is gone. His life force is depleted and extinguished. There is no coming back from this, but he was 'okay' with this. There is one more thing. With Retane being dead and gone, the Throne dies with him as God of Death. There may be people wanting to occupy it and they may think that he passed it on to you. This is not the case. Just be careful."

Enroshia moved towards the portal and with a final wave he offered a gentle smile, "I am sorry for your losses, but I know you all will do great things. You are all a part of Retane's Legacy." With those final words, he was gone.

------------------

Far off on a distant dark plane, there was a low rumble that quickly turned into a roar. Other denizen upon the realm started to shreik and howl, as if something had just rattled their cages. They were anxious and their king had started to stir.

-------------

There was a long silence between The Horsemen Unit until Tamsin took it upon herself to put her body where Maleficus Nova would have to look at her. She still had the whirling ball of white light in her hand from Enroshia and she moved it towards the Imperfect Namek's face. "Master, I think you really should see this."

Mal Nova blinked for a few moments and reached out as he saw an image of a young Namek in the orb. As the Demon of Namek handled the ball of energy for a moment it expanded into the air above the group. A voice came over shouting as, a Knight in a Golden Armor came into view. He wore a Dragon shaped helm, "Hello is this on? Does this work? If you are receiving this, then it means that I am not dead, but one of my friends is.I heard the plan, and I hope this reaches you Maleficus Nova, but I want you to know that I, Arith, was the Midwife to your siblings."

The Golden Warrior removed his helm and his voiced changed slightly as he shook his blonde hair free. "I heard what was the last ditch effort and while I never agreed to it, I feel I should use my memories to show you your siblings, in case you never get to see them. It's going to hurt me to do this, but I'll do the best I can."

The image of changed to a young Namekian in Sky blue messing around with a white haired boy. "This is Krosst, The Copy Namek. He is attuned with Jack Frost and likes to Mimic people. You should see him in action."

Another image, flashed with a bulky young Namek that was clad in Dark Grey. "This is Reatus. He holds a heavy heart but is one of the strongest on the team."

Again another flash to what looked like a young female version of a Namek. "Nature, the White Flower of the group. She looks innocent, but every rose has their thorns."

The next image showed two brothers sparing. Both sharing colors but each one inverted to the next. "Triumpht and Dante. Dante supposedly the strongest, and also the Leader of the group and Triumpht always challenging him to get stronger."

The orb turned back to visualize Arith, whose face dropped a tear. The tear fell and splashed and as it did, a smaller Namek game into vision as he chased a fat cat that squeaked every time it moved. The image faded into an outraged Retane, cutting down anyone that stood in front of him and changed into the grave that had the young Namekian's name upon it. "Probitas, the Innocent. He never stood a chance in our world after he was targeted. It sucks because he could have done so much for this place. Hell, he actually did."

Arith was shown wiping his eyes, before he put back on his helmet. "If you ever see this, Maleficus, just know that I am sorry we never met. I would say summon me if you ever could", Arith reached at the blade strapped to his chest. "But I wan't to say I am sorry for everything and how long it took for you to get this."

The orb dissappated and the group of The Horsemen Unit were left there on the hill again. Tamsin looked at the strap that held the Brave Sword, contemplating. Meanwhile, the Imperfect Namek tried to stand up straight and shook his head. Only the keen eye would have seen the liquid that slung from them. Still he gave the command, "Desoin, I want you to see what we can do to get my siblings here. I know it will be hard, but just try."

---------

Back in the head of Retane, Arith could only look the Namek in the face and see the pain. The Champion of Enroshia's face nearly mimicked the anguish as he spoke solemnly, "Do you remember more? It's going to keep hurting more, you know. Should we continue?"

"I died. I gave my life. To protect them. But why do things seem so off?" The Emerald Fiend looked off into the distance as he rubbed his head rough. "A lot of this still makes no sense to me. Yes, I need to know. Show me more, I can take it."

Arith took a deep breath and with a nod, continued.

----------
Far off on that distant dark plane void of light, soldiers had begun to immobilize. Mane of them cackled as their Lord had started to wake, and he was angry. They would go out soon, to do his bidding, and they were eager.

-----
"Okay, what the hell is that exactly?" Arith's voice seemed distorted as the memory changed. "You know what, I am too scared to ask. This crap is hard and I'll be honest, I don't know really know what I am doing!"

After a brief pause, an image showed up, back on planet Earth. Back on the same spot that and area that Retane and Enroshia had stepped through, once upon a time. It wasn't those two that stepped through, but others, that Retane had once known.

"Ahh, I hear this one might be an interesting one." Ariths voice was echoing, but it was heavy...

--------

Clearing the portal, before it closed, were roughly a score of beings. Five of them were Namekians, possibly in their teens. There was a white haired male that stuck out and seemed to wear the same attire as one of the Nameks. The rest of the squad seemed to be human, like the white haired boy, and all shared similar clothing, but there was a think pale green figure that stood out. He wore the same garb as most, but strapped on his shoulder was a box.

The group looked as if they had seen a scuffle and as the portal closed they all seemed to look around, trying to gather their surroundings.

"Is this it? Is this the place? Are we in the right Universe?" It was Dante that was quick to speak. As he looked around he tried to observe everyone and quickly unsummoned a wicked pole-ax from his hands.

"I- I don't know. I mean I think so. It feels right, but I can't sense him. We should be able to sense him right?" Reatus, one of the shortest of the group, watched his brother dispel his weapon, and after a few moments of hesitation opened his palms to disperse his tonfa's.

"Of course, we should. We are his children. We use to be able to sense him, so we should be able to now." If there was a calming voice, it was the female of the group, yet she seemed eager to check on everyone and knew how to do so. She knelt down and laid her hand upon the grass, feeling emense strength and history. She quickly learned about the spot, and relayed it to Krosst. She felt his reluctance to take it in and while she pondered the meaning, requested help from the planet.

"So why aren't we able to then? Is it because we are in the wrong Universe?" Dante looked among everyone for answers until he met his sister's eyes that at least gave him an answer.

"I still say we could have taken that guy. We never really needed father in the first place." It was Triumpht that spoke, and it was unsure by many if he was just stubborn or trying to give everyone support.

"Triumpht, you just got your ass kicked. The only reason we are alive is because Reatus took the attack head on and Naturae shielded you both as well." Dante's affirmation seemed to make everything worst, if not more questionable.

"Prove it!" Triumpht had his twin blades in his hands still, as he gritted his teeth.

"Hehehehe. If only he could see you guys now?" It was the Mimic Namekain that spoke up, trying to the ice and alleviate the tension.

"Jack, is he reading your thoughts again?" Triumpht seemed to feel foolish then, and dispersed his own weapons.

"Did you really just ask Jack that?" It was Dante that had to smirk, feeling a bit stupid and understanding what Krosst was trying to do.

"Maybe?" It was Deadpool's Second in command that also gave a smirk.

"Will you guys focus?" Dante had came to his sense too quick.

"This is Earth, in his Universe. However, far off, I can feel his presence in other life forms. They are on other Planets. I cannot find his actual presence anywhere." It was Jack Frost that finally spoke. He was Retane's second in command and the one that overlooked The Hosremen in the Omniverse. There was a sour bit in his voice and it was almost obvious he seemed upset.

"That is because he is gone." Out of no where, another figure appeared from a similar portal they had come from. THey all looked anxious and ready to battle.

"Ease yourselves, I am a friend." The quickly realized him to be Enroshia, but he bore a red outfit now,

"What do you mean he is gone? And why are you here? What has happened? " It was Jack Frost that seemed the most agitated then

Enroshia took his time to survey those that stood before him. "He is gone, also known as no longer around. He was a God, but even they can perish." The Lythian furrowed his brow, "As for why I am here, even I am unsure. What has happened? And how and why are you guys here?"

The Omnians hesitated, still unsure as to what had happened and how to explain it. They all looked at each other as if trying to find the correct words that would explain what had transpired, without feeling foolish and explaining how they, the Descendants of Retane, had lost. Enroshia could feel their hesitation but felt that things were about to get a lot more dangerous, "I do not believe there is time to spare, so if one of you guys can lend me your hands please?"

There was confusion and murmurs through the group as Enro stared at Frost."I need to hold both hands and need for you others to stand guard. I'm not the best at this and not only will it take all of my focus, it will also take time and energy. "

A low growl of pain came from another as Krosst stepped forward, almost pushing Jack Frost off to the side. Everyone seemed confused but it was the Copy Namek that spoke in the most solemn voice ever, "Best for me to do it."

"Why you?" It was Triumpht that questioned it all.

Jack Frost of all people, never said a word but somewhere there was a snicker.

"What's so funny? What did he say to you this time that no one else could hear?" Triumpht was oblivious to it all but Dante, had started to realize something was up. The young Leader motioned that someone was missing.

"For the second question, Krosst would probably be the best to assist Enroshia in this endeavor because of his special talents. He can read minds, has probably seen all your thoughts, and might even be able to assist Enroshia in his technique making things faster. Strategically him being the terminal and me being free, puts us at a better position if we are attacked."

Triumpht looked, from his brother, back to The Guardian of Fun, "And what was so funny about that?"

Frost gave a heavy sigh and gave up, "He said he could even show our deepest most kept secrets."

------
The memory was interrupted for a moment as The Champion of Lythia murmured a few things, sounding like he had heard about this section. "I think we should skip this one and try to fast forward-"

"No... I... must... know..." It was as if the Namekian was straining against him self, wanting to block it out as well, and for a moment he felt as if things were grey, but he pushed forward back into the memory.

-----

What some in the area had noticed but never understood, were that two things were off. The entire universe had been disturbed by the entrance of the group that had entered the relam, for some odd reason. The second, was that another void was starting to appear nearby.

However, all were focused on Enroshia and Krosst holding hands. None of them even noticed Jack Frost as he fell to his knees, dropping his crooked- staff, Savior.

Enroshia focused on the memories that the Mimic Namek tried to show him. They were distorted for a few moments, but things started to become clear.

The Leader of The Lythians seemed to frown for a few moments as he started to take visual.

Krosst seemed to be in multiple places at once as he watched things transpire. Dante and Triumpht were nearby, testing their strength. Naturae and Reatus where on their way. Ninja seemed to watch them and the area, and Jack Frost had just been told that he was going to be a father. This was right after Jack seemed accosted about making time for Airyonnia and had asked if she wanted him to retire. Enroshia understood that the Guardian had meant all of them the group, but Krosst seemed sad and didn't understand it that way.

Airyonna, Jack's lover, said she would never hear of such thing, calling Jack, and all the Namekians her family. Frost had shrugged it off. Krosst couldn't tell what was going on but, there was weird tension in the air. A tree had been cut in half by the sparring of Dante and Triumpht. Moments had passed before Krosst finally understood at that moment what was going.

Airyonna was pregnant with Jack Frost's child, and no one else had known aside from Airyonna's siblings. Now it meant Jack Frost knew, and that Krosst knew. The Copy Namek thought about telling everyone he knew then, but also didn't want to ruin the surprise. Jack had erected a huge tree of ice, near Probitas' grave. Airyonna had wanted to tell them all the news at once, because she had said they were a family.

It was the perfect spot for it all; Where Probitas was buried. Airyonna had worried about if the term, 'Innocence is dead', was really true. But Jack Frost was there to reaffirm her, that it was going to be okay. It was also the spot that Retane had left this kids, back then, to go to his home world.

Everyone that Krosst could see with his clones, stopped and stared at the beautiful tree. It was a new breed, mixed of the Snow Flower and Cherry Blossom.

Enroshia paused for a moment. He wanted to give congratulations to the new father to be, but something stopped him. There was an interruption then, Krosst could hardly contain himself in the confusion. Many voids had opened up then and it was chaos.

----
Arith seemed to fight Retane then, trying to force him to flash forward towards a different memory, but The God of Death refused.
