Character Behavior
A Savage Soldier.
Rhodri is not a slave to his instincts- but he is in a constant struggle with them. He has been taught, trained, and raised to be more than a beast, but the stench of blood and cordite calls out to him. The concepts of suppressive fire, tactical positioning, and greater strategic goals start to fade when weighed against the prospect of meat.
Physical Description:
Long ago, in an age where the Gods were more than memory and corpses, the barbarians of the Black Forest were cursed with forms more befitting their savage natures. In the ages since, the Lupar have made good use of their altered anatomy, and Rhodri is no exception. Grey-furred, with sharp claws and fangs, his animalistic mien is offset by the trappings of civilization- a machine-stitched uniform, carefully braided lengths of fur, and the tag punched through his right ear marking him as a soldier in The Army of the Ebon Forest. Standing at an inhuman eight feet, his predatory eyes are always moving, always searching. There are paranoid soldiers, and there are dead soldiers.
Character History:
Within the vast expanses of an Ebon Forest, the Luparic Clans have been united for the first time since the days of The Wolf King. In His place, The Regent has risen, binding the clans together and bringing them into the modern era. The longhouses of old have been replaced with concrete complexes, the rhythmic hammer-blows of the smith have been exchanged for assembly lines. The warrior's blade has become the Modéle 38 Light Machine Gun.
Rhodri was born into this era, a young pup scampering through the apartment blocks that were built for efficiency's sake, rather than out of any artistry. Faced with the options of becoming an assembly dog and spending his days within the cold Ur-Stone of home, forever suppressing his base instincts and waiting for the day someone's will finally fails, or joining the armies of The Regency, Rhodri chose the latter. His ear was tagged, his hunger taught to recognize the scent of the signal-salt, his back laden with a soldier's kit.
And then, he was sent to fight the flat-faced Men of the rivers and plains. Now, after months of fighting, Fort Callaghan is under siege, and the 96th Infantry Division moves to secure the position and devour its defenders. Rhodri, however, is unaware that fate has other plans for him.

He moves swiftly, even burdened by his kit, racing through the forests, trenches, or city streets in pursuit ofhis prey the objective. His senses extend far beyond the average spectrum, able to hear a hammering heartbeat around a corner or smell the spilled blood of the foe from a hundred years. Only the touch of Silver can truly put fear into the hearts of such a cursed beast- and the Flatface men with their silver particulate chemical weapons have learned that fact well over the centuries.

Mitra is a mainstay of the Luparic armies. Whereas simple men bear rifles, the size and strength of their inhuman forms allow them to bear heavy weapons into battle on an individual basis, laying down an obscene amount of suppressive fire while they close in, preparing for the bloodier work of room-by-room clearing with machetes, tooth, and claw. Weighing approximately a dozen pounds and extending over a meter in length, Mitra is sturdy enough to be used as an effective bludgeon, were it not for the fact that the average Luparic infantryman has multiple other means of rending the foe in close quarters. Each magazine contains sufficient ammunition for fifteen seconds of sustained fire, after which, the reloading process takes five seconds of concentrated effort. Beyond 500 meters, the accuracy drop-off is significant.

An unwise glance, a bared tooth, a missed meal- it's not uncommon for the apartment blocks to turn into charnel houses of cannibals that have succumbed to their desires, or for men to walk out into the woods and never return, stalking the back roads knowing nothing more than hunger. The Regent has collared this natural instinct, and aimed it at the throat of the world. As the blood spills, Rhodri's enhanced senses may be overcome with the scent, and drive him to embrace his savagery. Setting aside any ranged weapons, Rhodri forgets civilization, and prowls forth to gorge himself on the still-warm flesh of the foe.
