Yes.

due to a misunderstanding and misinterpretation of the rules I have mistakenly put 2500 coin into my base fund, would I be able to take it out to use it to pay for my minions as I had meant to set it aside for that not a base?

At the time I had asked multiple times in the chat about if I should put it there and never got an answer not knowing that Staff rarely look at the chat, as well as some issues I personally have with learning and understanding rules

You have creative freedom to use a "lesser" version of any Ability you've purchased, by which I mean: if you have a Damage 2 Sword, you can choose to have it deal Damage 1, if you'd like. That's narrative agency.


We HAVE decided to allow people to choose a word-count when paying for a Quest. No one wants to get stuck in with a 100k Quest via DA over the horizon, after all. Rules will be updated eventually. I hope.

Nah. World Quests should detail what rewards they give in the description. If it has no description of a reward, assume you're getting the Coins promised for the word count.

Nah. You can include NPCs in your stories at no cost. We ain't making you pay for every person who shows up in your writing. You only need to purchase Minions/Summons if they're gonna be helping you out competitively (such as in a fight with someone else).

Yes. It'd be awful hard to write a story that was just your character and the scenery. You're free to bring in NPCs at your leisure. A bankteller? No problem. Bob the Bandit King? Sure. Simple Joe the Nuclear Physicist? Why not? A bunch of random people having lunch? Go nuts. We just ask that you limit the amount of canon characters you add, as we'd like them to be free for others to join as.

Nah. That can be free. Unless they're Summons or Minions, they can't benefit you in a competitive way, so no big deal.

Apparently there is a 15 minute timer in which you can edit freely. If you don't edit within that 15 minute window, just ask a Staff Member to edit it for you.

Under Adaptation, is Need to Breathe part of Space or are they separate?

I'd say Space is a separate thing since you don't have to just account for the lack of air, but also the lack of pressure and other shenanigans. I'm not sure if it would allow you to breathe non-existent air in space though, or if you would have to roleplay your character with an oxygen tank but no need for a spacesuit
One way or another, you won't get "Adaptation: Need to breathe" for free when purchasing "Adaptation: Space", I'm pretty sure. You'd still need to buy that one in order to survive in a non-space airless environment without extra equipment.

As it stands currently, Adaptation (Space) includes Adaptation (Need to Breathe) and (Cold). It's a package deal, hence the higher price. I think we might rejigger some stuff there but at the moment, that's how it stands.
