Samus is an Adaptable Veteran. She is no stranger to having to improvise and adapt in rough situations, and is not above doing almost anything necessary. She will make use of new technology or means, and forge contacts to help herself, and them, get through tough spots. At the same time, she is a skilled and unshakable veteran soldier. Training both with the Chozo and later the Galactic Federation has instilled in her a hardened discipline and resolve, and she will not hesitate to use any amount of overwhelming force and everything in her arsenal to put down a problem once she has encountered it, and remain unflinching to any and all opposition.

She is extremely coordinated and graceful with exceptional reflexes, can exert herself and perform physically well for extended periods without tiring, can survive in atmospheres and conditions lethal or otherwise inhospitable to humans, withstand falls of surprising (and at times, improbably) heights without issue, easily maintain running speed most would struggle to reach at a sprint, make astounding leaps and jumps, and strike with immense enough force to make even her bare hands dangerous weapons.

The Paralyzer is the sidearm Samus uses when she is outside of her Power Suit. It has two modes, the first being a pistol that fires small bursts of electricity. The second mode is a plasma whip that extends about eight feet and she is able to use in melee combat. Currently the plasma whip mode is the only functional part of the weapon. Samus is skilled enough with the whip that she is able to strike her foes for heavy damage, and also remove weapons from her enemies or wrap up their limbs to slow them down.
