Vienne looked out the windows of the Arc; the flagship of General Organa's Crossroad Alliance and took in a shallow breath of relief. She was more than glad to finally be taking an interview away from an actively corrupted World for once; and sinking her teeth into the technologically rich environment of the Alliance's command fleet had been a wonderful way to relax.

She stood now on the main hangar level of The Arc, where the towering machine known as 2167b Jehuty was not standing, but floating, above the flight deck. She, to be quite honest, looked up at its silently looming form...with its sleek metal cowlings and supply articulation joints...and felt a bit of a hot flush down her insides. The Wing Gundam may have been king, but this new machine assembled by the experts on the Arc was easily the sexiest machine the HRGP had ever seen.

She almost forgot she was in the middle of an interview as General Organa cleared her throat.

"...ahem! Anyway, Jehuty appears to be powerfully equipped and an impressive feat of robotics, no doubt! Can you lend any insight why your Alliance has thrown Jehuty in as a bid for HRGP champion?" Vienne said, trying to recover her composure. General Organa smirked, and looked up at the hovering mecha.

"Jehuty is a message. The ARC deserves to be taken seriously, and we have a combination of the best minds from all the Crossroads at our disposal. If people didn't have faith in our ability to protect the Worlds before, they'll have that faith after Jehuty sweeps the competition."

Vienne nodded eagerly, and glanced towards the hovering camera drones.

"I understand you have a small demonstration prepared for us!" Vienne said, trying not to sound too excited. Leia nodded, without word, and waved her hand up at the opaque canopy glass of Jehuty's cockpit. The looming mecha nodded - nodded, of all things - before quietly jetting out of the deflector shield enclosing the hangar from the vacuum of space.

"Does...Jehuty ever bother to walk? I noticed that it doesn't have, y'know. Feet." Vienne said with a disarming chuckle.

"Jehuty can walk, but the built in flight systems are so fine tuned that it can hover in place at moderate speeds almost indefinitely. But that's not what makes the machine special." Leia responded. She held up a remote in her hand, and a series of target drones lit up in the space around Jehuty. A large cannon port opened in its right hand, and the machine mechanistically pointed the weapon at each target in rapid succession. Five short blasts obliterated five targets with pinpoint precision. The movements of Jehuty were eerily fluid, almost organic, as it danced within the ether.

"Not bad! But-" Vienne started, but Leia cut her off.

"Oh we're not finished." the General grinned. She pressed her drone remote again, and an entire swarm of target drones illuminated the space outside of the hangar. Vienne was pretty good at quick sums, but she could barely count the swarm of red lights that suddenly rivaled the starfield outside the hangar bay. Jehuty seemed to consider the swarm for a moment, panning its visor over the blinking targets, before seeming to flex its whole body.

A rippling storm of curving lightbeams exploded out of Jehuty's back and curved towards the clustered drones, blasting the innumerable swarm to pieces in under just a few seconds. As the glimmering fire and shrapnel faded, the machine silently pivoted on the spot and jetted back to its previous position within the hangar.

Vienne was stunned, but took a moment to consciously close her jaw before clapping furiously.

"That was cool. That was so DANG cool! Gosh! But is Jehuty on autopilot? How many total targets can that burst keep track of?" the roboticist blabbered. To answer her question, the canopy on Jehuty's pilot module hissed open to reveal a young looking boy with gleaming eyes and metallic skin. Vienne immediately recognized the articulated youth as Iriklis...which was unfortunate. They had a bit of a sordid history going back to the halls of Tinkerdrift. At the same time, it was nice to see such a well-known face of Govermorne floating down to the flight deck.

"Iriklis, the Clockfused Prodigy! So good to see you alive and well since the tragedy. Does this mean you'll be piloting Jehuty in the Grand Prix?" Vienne said, advancing with her microphone. The clockfused's face remained stoic as he spoke in a demure, synthesized voice.

"No. I've never had much of an appetite for violence, especially since the tragedy of Govermorne. I do, however, believe in ARC's mission, and I owe General Organa a favor ever since her valiant rescue of our people. Together with Dr. Links, I am happy to act as advisor and auxiliary engineer for Jehuty and Team ARC." the synthoid boy hummed. Vienne nodded eagerly, but silently before turning back to the camera.

"Then I look forward to meeting Dr. Links and your future pilot when the time comes! For now, this is Vienne Quigley, signing off for HRGP!"
