Vienne Quigley lamented quietly to herself. As much as she would have loved to be a roboticist - or even a chief engineer - of any of the Grand Prix teams, her outgoing nature and natural inquisitiveness had apparently made her the natural choice for interviewing the teams. Her angst over this impromptu role was not helped by the fact that she was essentially about to interview a pack of artificers whom she could easily be a cohort of.

She sighed. Whatever. The cameraman gave her a queue with his hand, and her face broke out into an effusive smile.

"This is Vienne Quigley, coming to you live once again for the Hyper Robo Grand Prix. Today I find myself in the depths of Inverxe, standing inside the secretive hall of the Dwemer Kingdom. King Kagrenac himself has been gracious enough to grant us a sneak peak of his passion project! And, here to introduce us to this fascinating machine is his highness himself. King Kagrenac, a pleasure." the platinum haired woman beamed. Behind her stood King Kagrenac, fully resplendent in his gilded, bronze artificer's attire. A pair of handmaids bracketed him, their heads bowed, hinging on his every word. Kagrenac nodded politely towards Vienne and the camera in turn, before gesturing towards the towering wraith construct behind him with ring-fattened fingers.

"The pleasure is mine. Yes, this is the Wraith Knight entitled after my Will. For the uneducated among you, a Wraith Knight is not a mere computerized automaton, but a psionically invested golem, driven by the very souls of my departed kin. It is fair to say that, when the Will of Kagrenac walks, so walk the very souls of my kingdom." Kagrenac grinned, staring up at the black faceplate of the machine.

"Fascinating! Fascinating! And do those spirits actually move the individual armor segments? Where do you store their essences? Can you sound them for communications, or, or..." Vienne began to gush, before catching herself.

"...ahem! Sorry. Is there anything you're willing to share about this fantastic project?"

Kagrenac maintained his placid smile. The gems of his earrings and amulets glimmered softly in the hissing light of the dwemer braziers as he seemed to consider her request.

"Well...far be it from me to ruin the surprises for your viewers. But, knowing their tastes, I will call attention to the Wraith Knight's primary armaments. The gun on its right arm is called a Suncannon. I won't share...the exact specifications, but suffice to say that it will easily rival the output of other weaponry present at the competition. With more finesse, of course. The shield, called the Scattershield, is equally adept at dispersing most types of destructive energy that might be leveled at her." Kagrenac explained. He seemed to shift uncomfortably for a moment before regaining his composure. Vienne had heard it too - 'her' - and idly wondered at the implications, being that the Wraith Knight was apparently some form of automated...undead...golem.

But that explanation was not what the viewers wanted.

"One final question your highness; The Dwemer Kingdom and its elves have tried to stay out of the spotlight of the greater crossroads for years now. Why the sudden interest in the HRGP?"

Kagrenac chuckled.

"Same reason as everyone else, I suppose. A bit of fun. Though I suppose some of the poorer kingdoms - such as Babylon or the Skylanders - won't be able to play along. Ah well. Recent events have shown that a bit of muscle might be worth investing in, if nothing else." the king chuckled. Vienne did her best to suppress a cackle of mania.

"Wow! Strong words here from Fal Zhardum Din! Let's hope the Dwemer and their team can keep that magic fire burning as we continue our preparations for the next Hyper Robo Grand Prix!"
