Abilities (€2150 / €2304):

Celestial Endurance (cost: €600)
Protection III (300)
— Ongoing (+300)

As an effect of the Celestial diet, Tenshi’s skin has become unusually tough. Her resilience is considered high, even to the powerful beings of Gensokyo.

(Focus Flavor) By eating one of the celestial peaches on her hat, she is able to boost her defense to incredible levels for a short period of time. Formally, this technique is known as the spell card Peach Sign “Hermit’s Peach of Steadfast Durability”.

Sword of Hisou (cost: €300)
Damage III (300)
— Removable (-150)
Debuff I (100)
— Ongoing (+100)
— Removable (-50)

Tenshi wields an ancient Celestial artifact — called the Hisou-no-Tsurugi — which grants her command of living beings’ spirits in the form of red mist. Though lacking its fiery blade by default, celestials like her can activate and thus use it. To any other person, it is as good as any other stick. This sword, which feeds on negative emotion, lacks weight but is definitely hot enough to slice through its enemies. It also drains their spirit, making them more tired with every hit they take.

Keystone Formation (cost: €150)
Variable Creation I (200)
— Concentration (-50)

Tenshi has the ability to form keystones. For now, the size of stones she can make seems to be greatly reduced. Keystones physically look and act just like ordinary rocks, their only discerning feature being giant “shimenawa” ropes tied around them. They can either appear out of thin air, or be formed out of stone pulled off the ground.

Keystone Control (cost: €350)
Move Object I (100)
— Ongoing (+100)
— Ranged (+50)
— Limited: Only on keystones (-50)
Protection I (100)
— Ranged (+50)

Inherited from her now-divine bloodline, Tenshi has control over keystones. Similar to forming them, the ease with which she moves stones around has diminished. She is able to move them through the air which, among many other things, allows her to guard an ally from attack.

Let Us Take Flight! (cost: €350)
Flight I (200)
— Ongoing (+100)
— Affects Multiple I (+50)

By pulling a keystone from the earth, Tenshi can fly through the skies by virtue of… just standing on it. It also fits more than one person, so a whole party can come and join the flight!

Keystone Danmaku (cost: €100)
Damage II (200)
— Ranged (+100)
— Affects Multiple I (+100)
— Concentration (-100)
— Indiscriminate (-100)
— Side-effect: Tiring (-100)

Mimicking the style of battle done in Gensokyo, Tenshi fires a volley of rocks at an area of her choice. She could end up hitting her friends if not properly aimed, though. It’s also mildly draining to use, and begins to feel uncomfortable after about ten uses.

“Scarlet Weather Rhapsody” (cost: €300)
Damage II (200)
— Ranged (+100)
— Ongoing (+200)
— Affects Multiple II (+200)
— Activation (-100)
— Nondiscriminating (-100)
— Concentration (-100)
— Side-effect: Tiring (-100)

“This is the Hisou-no-Tsurugi’s power!”

Tenshi’s signature move. In 10 seconds, she gathers such dense spirits that the mist glows an ominous, scarlet color. Then, either through her palms or sword, a massive stream of red energy blazes through and sears everything in a straight path. The intensity of the attack leaves her somewhat exhausted after its use. As a spell card, this is never meant to be used without Focus.

Character Sheet

"When you look down from Heaven, giant cloud-monsters look a lot more like tiny cloud-bugs."

Tenshi Hinanawi is a young Celestial girl who lives in a region of Heaven called "Bhava-agra". Born in the 9th century, she is the Eldest Daughter of the Hinanawi Clan: a family of Celestials that manage earthquakes. She partially carries out the family duty to suppress, move, and release the stress building up in the Earth's crust everyday, via blessed rocks known as "keystones". She is also partially responsible for reporting seismic events caused at her discretion to Lord Nawi, her father. However, reporting duty is usually delegated to their oarfish servant, Iku Nagae.

Tenshi first interacted with the realm of Gensokyo in 2008, causing what is known to residents as the "Scarlet Weather incident". After its resolution, she has started visiting the otherworld every once in a while, despite slight objections by the people who live there. She was also involved in the Perfect Possession incident in 2018, causing trouble again with a royal inchling in order to spread their name as "the strongest duo". By the end, she had managed to befriend a couple more people in Gensokyo. Tenshi now walks around the place more often. She is usually seen accompanying Shion Yorigami, whom she considers her greatest friend.

Physical Description:
TrVOImz.jpg

Thanks to the powers bestowed upon Celestials, Tenshi hasn’t aged much (physically and mentally) since ascending to Heaven. She can barely be considered any older than 16 years, and her stature is just around 5 feet. Deep blue hair flows down to her waist, the top of which is covered by a black hat sporting leaves on either side, and two peaches on her right. Her eyes are dark red, almost earth-like.

Her clothing appears quite extravagant, featuring a white buttoned blouse with a red bow by the collar, and a blue band around her waist tying into a large ribbon. The band also holds together a white apron with strange patterns, and a chain of rainbow-colored shards that circle her. Underneath, she wears a skirt colored deep-blue, and she walks around with brown lace-up boots.
Personality:
Raised with an easy life, Tenshi is a spoiled child with a very skewed perception of reality. She comes off as arrogant and egotistical, and is usually going to say something about Celestials being superior when she gets the chance. She denies any notion of being inferior to "earthly beings", and will actually get mad if she gets pressed on this. In a similar fashion, kowtowing to her is a quick way to get on her good side (A good example: Shion Yorigami). On top of that, Tenshi is still immature, and often fails to realize that her actions are weighted & do have consequences. This is a frequent source of conflict for those around her.

Despite her rotten personality, Tenshi is a very learnt child. Living through centuries of education, her diction can be very eloquent (esp. when boasting about herself) even if she uses casual — and sometimes brash — language more often. Also, because of this education, certain behaviors and ideas are drilled into her mind, on the demeanor of a celestial. She is practically a culmination of the culture of Bhava-agra, as seen through a child's mind. Therefore it is not uncommon for her to think about old wise sayings and how to carry her apperance as a graceful being of Heaven. And yes, that means she is capable of feeling insecure about her appearance just like any teenager would
Extended History:
Tenshi often boasts about being born a pure Celestial, native to the heavens. However, her past tells a different story.

Back in the 9th century, the Hinanawi were mortals, bound to the Earth. Chiko was 9 years old, yet she was already undergoing religious training. The family of priests had a duty: to protect a magical rock that suppressed the earthquakes ravaging Japan. These rocks, "keystones" they were called, were all managed by the holy Nawi clan whom they served.

One day, the Nawi had all passed away. Their divinity ascended them into the realm of gods. As thanks for the servitude of the Hinanawi, they allowed them passage to Heaven; and ascension into a Celestial. As Chiko's parents went, so did she. Now, she was no longer a child of Earth, but a child of Heaven... "Tenshi" Hinanawi.

Life in Heaven was like witnessing snow. It felt amazing for the first time. Her family quickly amassed wealth and influence in the realm of Bhava-agra. But, as seconds bled into hours, hours bled into years, years bled into centuries, Tenshi grew increasingly bored. A perfect life, devoid of challenge. Even the shinigami that come for her soul every century were no match for her immense strength. Not only had she grown spoiled, but she also became notorious for misbehaving, just to curb her boredom.

Looking down on Earth– her past home, she saw the lively beings of Gensokyo playing around merrily. Earthbound creatures dragged down by conflict and hardships. Yet, it was these hardships that made their lives fun. Envious, the angel decided. She grabbed the Sword of Hisou, one of the gifts the Hinanawi had received, and set out to make trouble.

On May 25, 2008, strange weather and earthquakes ran rampant over Gensokyo. This was the beginning of the Scarlet Weather incident.

After some time (and much fighting), the residents of the otherworld had managed to pin her down as the culprit, and promptly gave her a beating. Several times, for good measure. Her shenanigans involving placing a keystone inside the Hakurei Shrine drew the ire of the Youkai Sage, Yukari Yakumo. It would also be the last heard from her in a while.

In the early January of 2018, Tenshi was banished from Heaven for interfering with the preparation of a ceremony. Specifically, eating all of the precious Celestial Elixir. She had nothing better to do, so the girl loafed around Gensokyo, despite being unwelcomed by many of the residents.

She came across Perfect Possession. It was an Occult rumor that allowed people to “possess” others, and to swap in body and mind. The celestial teamed up with the short yet powerful inchling princess, Shinmyoumaru Sukuna. They carved out a name for themselves, even for just a moment, by going around and beating all of the other duos. The incident later came to an end thanks to Reimu, but not before managing to befriend one of the culprits. That was Shion Yorigami, a Poverty Goddess. Tenshi did not have any problem being around her, as the celestial’s luck was far too high to be affected, even by someone like Shion.

Tenshi continued to wander around Gensokyo, causing trouble with her new friend. People even thought that Tenshi and Shion were the rumored most disastrous duo, not Shion and her sister, Jo’on. However, one of her pranks had escalated into an all-out battle between the celestial and Yukari, a youkai that can manipulate the boundaries of any concept. In the end, Yukari resorted to tricks and banished Tenshi through one of her gaps, a muddling of the boundaries of two places.

The celestial girl found herself in a completely unfamiliar place. That place was the Crossroads.

Zeroth Arc: Brave New World
The Angel Has Landed! — Beaten up and all alone, Tenshi tries to find her bearings in the city of Tinkerdrift.

A Clockwork World — The celestial begins her journey, stumbling upon quite a few familiar faces. Not really the best time to arrive, though.
