Elise has her heritage to protect her from extreme danger. Though she does not know his name, nor what he was like, Elise is watched over by the spirit of her father. During a time of need, he will emerge from the vortices of nothingness to guide his daughter from harm in the form of a dark, shadowy aura that surrounds Elise. Her face and skin become glank and glassy, marked only by a blazing triad of three green eyes; two positioned normally, and the third below the right. Giant, ghostly wings like those of a crow will manifest from Elise's back as well, putting her into a trance-like state of dread potency.
While the Shadow is possessing her, Elise herself is not aware of what is happening. She is also, strictly speaking, not in control of her own thoughts and body. Still, the Shadow will endeavor to use his god-like abilities and skills to protect his daughter and deliver her allies from harm. These are detailed below.

Legacy of the Father
When Elise is being overshadowed by her father, she is capable of flying at high speeds and acts of extreme acrobatic grace. Additionally, her body's glassy skin is nearly impervious to most conventional forms of damage, and her body can survive at length in almost any environment.
The Godmind Speaks
The Shadow can detect, pinpoint and mentally communicate with any thinking mind within 1,000 feet. A preternatural connection to the material nature of reality also allows him to scan and understand the layout and geometry of buildings, geography and his general surroundings, as well as objects located in that radius.
Antithesis Infusion
The spirit of Elise's father can analyze the existential nature of anything that it can sense, and proceed to forcibly unravel its existence with a mere thought. Anything subjected to this form of attack simply winks out of existence in a flash of cold light. Those who manage to survive are wracked by both mental and physical anguish for a brief moment as they resist being disintegrated. Despite surviving, their bodies are likely to still be falling apart in small ways afterwards.
Folding of the Liminal
The Shadow can pierce the veil of space and time to create rippling portals between any number of locations within its sensory range. The spherical portals can be up to 20 ft. in diameter, and will abruptly shunt anything in contact with the portal to an associated exit portal. These portals can work either way, and the Shadow can open, close, or reconnect them at will.
Grasping Truth
The Shadow of Elise's father has deeply powerful telekinetic prowess, and can manipulate, lift, and hurl massive objects around like a child with building blocks. It can lift multiple objects at a time, if it wishes, and fling objects large enough to smash multiple targets. Alternatively, the shadow can lift anyone it can sense directly, and either hold them in place with mental restraint, or fling them for damage as well.
