Bright light surrounded the darkness. A flash of yellow brilliance over took the area for a few moments before taking shape of a woman. Tall and beautiful, spear in hand crouched on her knee as if wounded from battle. Despite her pose, she was completely unharmed. As Nearl took stock of her condition, she would be surprised to find that the wounds Bloodknight had inflicted on her were completely wiped away. Looking to her surroundings there was also the immediate realization that she had an audience. A line of people, shocked to see the pegasean amazon appear from thin air. This had no bearing on her demeanor, however. She would simply rise from her crouched position and take a deep breath.

This world around her was desolate. Destroyed trees and a feeling of desperation was in the air. Where had she been brought to in her afterlife? Was she even dead? "Hey lady? Are you okay?" One of the people in the line would finally ask her, to which Nearl would shake her head. "Worry not about me, ser. My wounds appear to have vanished and I am in pristine health. I do not know where I am, unfortunately. Where has the doctor gone to now? Maria is going to start worrying about me and Zofia will give me a scolding for disappearing." The contestant to Dante's Abyss was nothing but dumbfounded by their response. They would scratch the back of their head. "Uh, right. Dante Abyss contestants get weirder and weirder every year." He mutter to himself only to get a few glares from the others around him.

What was happening here in such a barren looking land? Lines for something? Perhaps it was a means to get out of this area. There was really no indication for what this Dante's Abyss was but judging by the name, it didn't sound much better than their current situation. Nevertheless, she would refrain from asking anymore questions. Instead, the best way she could learn about it was to get in line herself. There was nowhere else to go and not much to see, so why not?

As she waited in line, she could only contemplate on how she'd arrived here and why. The last thing she remembered was that she was wounded from her final altercation with the Bloodknight before passing out. One had to presume that she had died, if she hadn't where did all her injuries go miraculously? Not even Shining could patch her up that quickly. This was some hellish afterlife that was challenging her faith? Well, it would not stamp out the fire that burned in her heart. If this was some sort of test, she would blaze like a brilliant star in the night sky.

Upon arriving to the front of the line, she was greeted with a Syntech employee. Whatever was happening here, she would go through it an prove that nothing could stop her that was in the way of her faith. "Fill out this information." They would say simply. "What can you bring to the show?"

"Show? This is some sort of televised event?" Nearl would ask.

"New to Dante's Abyss? Yeah, it's a competition. Not that difficult to understand." Nearl's eyes narrowed. It was like the Kazimierz Major? Well, perhaps that wasn't a fair comparison unless the winner was crowned to be a delegate for the government.

"I am the light that walks with righteousness. Nothing can stop my passion as a burn a path to my goal." Nearl would respond to his former question. Filling out the little paperwork that she was given.

"Ah, you're one of those. Right, well, that will make good for the cameras. When you're done, that teleportation device will take you to the waiting hall." He would point to the teleporter. After a short moment finishing up her information, she would be allowed into the teleporter where she would soon meet the other contestants.
