"The fresh, dripping blood. Fangs sinking into its skin..."

"What a splendid taste. The extract of life overflows and fills my body..."

"I can feel its power. Ah, the waves of ecstasy... How Magical are these insignificant creatures known as sardines!"

Having finished a breakfast of sardines, Valvatorez's eyes survayed the landscape before him. This did not appear to be Hades. Walls built of rock crumbled around him and beyond that the greens of a forest or perhaps a jungle were visible. A blue sky with a few clouds above, surely this is not Hades or the Netherworld Hades was in, but perhaps it was an alternate Netherworld? Valvatorez picked up a rock from one of the crumbled walls and looked at it closely. While this could be the human world, ruins like these were hardly common and most were usurped by some group of humans or another as historical landmarks. It did not appear to be artificial.

"Hmm, this is an unusual circumstance I've found myself in. Where is this place... no matter. I will just have to find someone to tell me where this is. Hades awaits my return!" Valvatorez said, with a flourish of his dark cape. Valvatorez jumped up to the top of a wall, and stops for a moment. He started patting down his body in various places before his hand went to his chin in a thinking pose. "What is this?" He questioned. Valvatorez flexed his muscles a few times, did a couple of squats, and straightened. He quickly reached into his cape to pull out a couple more sardines to start eating, raw sardines. "Something has sapped my strength! I will have to find the culprit and show him that power is easily restored.. through the nutrients of these sardines!"

Shale had seen a lot of weird shit in her time. Watching someone dressed in the most stereotypical vampire fashion, with teeth that... might be pointed, a clear sardine fetish, and more than a little confusion was still enough to jog her, as she headed towards the ruins. It was on the way to where she'd seen her jacket land, after all. the maybe-vampire had a lot going for her theory, but the Huntress was still a little dubious... Pointed ears, red eyes, and pale skin might mean a vampire, certainly, but it could just as easily be a faunus who doesn't go outside much and has... flamboyant taste.

And like hell she was going to make that mistake. Blake wouldn't let her hear the end of it.

The huntress's boots crunched against the overgrown wilderness as she strode forward, hands in her pockets and a grin on her face. her hammer was fully unfurled on her back, it's compact setting still damaged, as she approached the stranger. "Hiya! Name's Shale. Shale Evans. Pleased to meet'cha!" The hunter offers with a grin, placing a hand on her hips as she stands in front of the vampire. "Did you see a black leather jacket around here? Fell somewhere around here. Covers most of the chest. Super stylish. Back falls like a cape? Any of this... any of this ringing a bell?" the huntress asked. her posture was relaxed, as she looked over the potential vampire. "....Wait. Are those sardines? I have not seen food since the dinosaur! lemme snag one or two o' those!"

Valvatorez looked at the source of the voice. Of course he saw her coming. He couldn't possibly have been distracted at the unfathomable depths of the nutrition values of Sardines. He looked at the hunter up and down, and a hand went to his chin in a thinking pose. "A human, or a demon?" Valvatorez muttered to himself. With the weapon on her back and hair hiding her ears, it was difficult to tell whether or not she was human. There was the strong scent of some kind of reptile, but also a faint smell of human blood. She didn't have any obvious injuries and with how faint it was, either she cleaned up the wound or it wasn't her blood. Mingled among the faint human scent were other things... regardless she surely had dealings with something dark. More likely than not she was a demon.

"Hmph." Valvatorez dismissed his own concerns. Such a scent was a normal occurrence among demons and the only reason he focused upon it now was the stark contrast between Shale and the natural surroundings. "I am Valvatorez, and you choose well to seek my sardines for nothing could sustain you better! I will certainly give you one, so that you too can experience the hidden strength within them. But as for your other request, you ask much of a demon you just met for a favor." Valvatorez nodded and closed his eyes For a few moments. He listened for anything that might sound like what Shale asked about. Handing out a sardine he said, "I have not seen any jackets floating or laying about here. I will help you find it! However, in exchange I would like you to tell me about this place. Is this the Human world or have I found myself in an alternate Netherworld?"

Shale's opinion of the little vampire cosplayer was... well...
He would've fit in back in gensokyo, to put it mildly.

Well, given his vampiric complexion, she wasn't entirely sure Remilia wouldn't run him out of town, but the thought still hit her head. The Vampire was... short. shorter than Shale's towering 6'0 by a pretty significant amount, now that they'd gotten closer. The man's clothes looked the part, he had the trademark red eyes, and it seemed he even had the appropriate Elfin ears. A little small, but she'd never known a vampire that wasn't small. And the same little vampire she read bedtime stories to every night had left more than a few bruises on her body when she'd gotten 'enthusiastic'.

Which was the only reason Shale could convince herself beyond reasons that this might actually be a real vampire, because God knows any illusion of charisma vanished the first moment Valvatorez opened his mouth.

"I... hidden... so are these... magic fish, or... I'm just going to eat the fish now." Shale stuttered, slacking slightly in her stance as she cocked her head at the strange little man she stood next to.One world over and I still find the weirdest co-workers, I swear!

As Valvatorez mentioned his daemonhood, Shale paid attention and gave a smirk. "You're a demon? You really are a vampire, then? That's interesting..." The huntress would note, immediately observing the elfin creature again. the concept wasn't unfamiliar to her, but she still needed to stay on guard. from what she'd seen and what vampires had told her, many of them could easily become a serious threat with the right motivation.

Still, she was a little old and a little worn to be seriously concerned about one, Even if she didn't look the part at the moment.

"Anyways, as for our exchange... I can't tell you much, if I'm honest." The Huntress would admit. "I've existed on whatever-dimension-this-is for about a few days now. I'm here tracking a dangerous individual from my home. Where I came from, we called home remnant, so if that doesn't ring a bell, we've probably got a couple degrees of separation. You... could be from my netherworld, for all I know, since I've never actually gotten to see that place." Shale would add with a shrug. "...Looks like we're both lost, huh? At any rate... Saw plenty of the topography when I was falling a few thousand feet. Nothing but jungle and swamp and mountains as far as the eye can see. Any of that ring a bell?"

"Hmm I see..", Valvatorez replied to the lack of sustainial information. From Shale's responses he gathered that she was in fact human, and neither of them knew this land. She wasn't from the human world he was familiar with either but some alternate one.

After she finished in asked her question Valvatorez replied, "How mysterious. No, I'm afraid that description doesnt match anything I am aware of in the Netherworld. There was once an area that may have matched it but after humans dumped their pollution there. It is merely a poisonous wasteland now. Such foolishness.. Anyway! I suppose this could still be the Human World called Earth somewhere in South America. The last frontier of lush land on the planet." The vampire hopped off the piece of ruined wall he was standing on. "I suppose we should begin the hunt for your jacket. Where did you last see it? How long has it been?" Licking a finger and holding it up, he continued with a gesture. "The wind is going in that direction so we should start there."
