Wanda Maximoff is a devastating sorceress.
Wanda's potential power is huge. She was, in her world, capable of the most devastating things, which stemmed from the sheer might of her magic. The problem was that she had very little control over it, and when her emotions got the best of her, sometimes this power could be overwhelmingly destructive. Her abilities are muted here in the Crossroads, but the inklings of this potential -- and Wanda's fear of it -- still live inside her.
Usually, this power manifests through the magic of a traditional sorceress. Wanda isn't necessarily skilled in melee combat or any of the more physical disciplines, but rather exists primarily as a magic user. She is capable of spells unlike most in her world had ever seen, along with more traditional magical abilities such as telekinesis.

(Note: I'm utilizing the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of Wanda, with some slight adjustments, taking her from where she was at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. Spoilers for the MCU abound below, but no spoilers for WandaVision!)
Wanda Maximoff and her fraternal twin brother, Pietro, were born in the Eastern European country of Sokovia. Early in life, their home was struck by mortars during an attack, killing their parents. Wanda and Pietro grew to hate Tony Stark, whose company had manufactured the weapons, because of this, and as they grew older became activists, protesting the rise of superheroes such as the Avengers, who they blamed by association for the mass destruction of their country.
Seeing potential in the two, HYDRA operative Wolfgang von Strucker recruited Wanda and Pietro and used top secret technology to activate latent mutant genes within the two and give them superpowers. They worked as agents of HYDRA until the organization fell, and then with the artificial intelligence Ultron in his plot against the Avengers until they discovered his true intention: to destroy the entire Earth.
Reluctantly, they joined forces with the Avengers to defeat Ultron and upon seeing their true nature, had a change of heart. They succeeded in the battle, but at a terrible cost: Wanda's brother, Pietro, perished.
Searching for comfort, she found herself drawn to join the Avengers permanently, but her fledgling superhero career was quickly marred with tragedy as, trying to use her powers to stop a bomb from exploding, inadvertently caused it to detonate near a highly-populated building and caused the deaths of hundreds.
Quarantined within Avengers Tower, Wanda grew closer with her guardian, Vision, before being forced to fight him in her attempts to escape. The world government, as it turned out, sought to impose restrictions on superheroes that one of her allies, Captain America, diametrically opposed, and Wanda agreed, breaking out of her confines and joining his cause, eventually being imprisoned in the Raft for her crimes.
Not long after, Captain America and some allies succeeded in breaking her and the others out, and she went into hiding, eventually reconciling with Vision and beginning a romantic relationship with him. Their happiness was short-lived as Vision was targeted by Thanos and, eventually, destroyed in the tyrant's pursuit of the Mind Stone. Wanda vanished into nothingness when Thanos snapped half of life out of existence, but contrary to what most of her Earth companions believed, she did not die, but simply found herself transported into a different dimension entirely: the Crossroads.
