Outcries of sorrow and rage dance on the air as crimson and flames colored everything on their way. Laying on the ground as everything he lived for slowly became nothing but ashes, “G…T..UP.. D..V.” Someone called out to him, but his senses still couldn't respond, a shadow figure appeared over him. Blinking a few times as his brain fought a battle of emotion. The figure quickly picked him up and placed him against a straight object, “Ca.. yu…he.r. me…K…d?” His ears were still trying to recover but it took a few moments, slowly realizing the figure was his father. Slowly regaining his scenes and remembering the disaster happening in his village.
A hooded figure could be seen from the distance as it headed their way, unable to recognize much he placed his hand on his weapon and got ready for anything, thankfully it was only his mother. He launched at him and hugged him hard. “Glad you are ok” She let go of him and pointed out to the west, “The passage through the mountain seems to be the best, we better hurry” His father placed his hand on Devarus’s shoulder, “OK, let's go.”
Sprinting as fast as they could, dodging shadows and flames. Passing through fellow comrades unable to fully comprehend the fact they are all gone. He could almost see as the smoke around them smiled at them, as one last time his eyes could see their expressions. HIs home and village were all gone in seconds.
Reaching the passage at the mountain within a few minutes, mist and smoke blended together making their vision a little hard to use. “Careful we don't know what's ahead” his father commanded his mother and him, slowly moving forward, cutting silhouettes through the fog.
Out of nowhere a body flew across them, unknown to know what it was, looked back but couldn't see anything, quickly looking to where his mother was. His eyes widened at the sight of his mother figure slowly banishing. Unable to move as fear filled his body, all he could do was look around him. From behind him a terrifying growl raised behind him, turning as fast as he could but all he saw was a giant blackhole filled with teeth and the stench of death.
Hyperventilating as he clenched the sand around him, sweat marked his body as it made its way down. “When will these nightmares quit, every time they get worse.” Taking a few breaths trying to get his heartbeat back to its original beat. After a few minutes of getting himself together he grabbed his items, put his cape and Hud on and headed out on his search for whatever was out in that place.
