Passage of Time

As expected, time will indeed be monitored and kept track of during the course of this event. As a general rule, for purposes of this event:
• One OOC day = 3 IC hours
• One IC Phase = 12 IC hours / 4 OOC days

Time won't start being tracked in this way until you actually 'touch down', so to speak, and things get underway.

Movement/Activity

As mentioned before: there is no map and no grid to worry about moving on or with this time. That doesn't necessarily mean there will be no movements to be made, however.

As you all write and progress the story, more areas will potentially be revealed and made available to you. The available areas may differ from group to group, or person to person for anyone going solo, so keep track of where you are and what places you know about.

As such, there is no real need to keep movements secret and close to the chest like normal. You can even include your movements or where you are in a quote at the end of your post, if you like, to help keep track of where you are or where you're coming from/going to.

This time around, movement (such as it is) is not really required. The danger unfolding around you might make staying in one place for too long very inadvisable, and probably won't do you any favors, but it's almost all about the writing this time. Instead of movement, however, a certain degree of activity will be required this time around. You will be required to post at least once, with a cumulative minimum of 500 words (trivial for 99% of you, I know), during each Phase of the event. Failure to do so won't necessarily mean you die, but it will automatically Eliminate you. (Though if you pull the legendary, rare and highly elusive Triple Flying Somersault into the Backrooms and Stick the Inactivity Landing and don't post at all for two consecutive Phases, then you WILL die.)

But how do I kill people?

You don't need to do that this year! That said....aside from any fights or the like you get thrust into courtesy of events/prompts, this is still everyone's (second) favorite murder-death-killfest-game. As long as you are in the same area as someone else and you want to punch their teeth in for whatever reason...you can't really be stopped. More rules about that will be covered in a later section, though.

Note

There will probably be a lot of large groups this time around, including a large number of generic NPCs. You are very encouraged to keep your own lists of who is alive, injured (and how badly), how many people you are with, and other such things. You never know what might be relevant.
