Hello all!
Jade here to welcome you to the revived version of Multerra Book Club (yes, I am copying much of Jacob's prior message about this). With activity going up and stories getting completed, it’s as good a time as ever to start encouraging some reading of your fellow writers’ work. I know I personally always mean to read things and they get lost in the shuffle of obligations, so some incentive would be a big help!
If there’s nothing to read, there’s no Book Club, so first things first we need submissions from you.
***Submissions will be open from now until Tuesday, January 30!***
On February 1, I will start a new thread with the selections from that book club.
The only rule for submission is that the thread must be COMPLETE. You can submit your thread, you can submit other people’s threads - whatever you think everyone on the site should be reading, whether it’s because it’s fantastic or because you want some feedback. But it must be COMPLETE!
Once COMPLETED threads have been selected/posted as options, you’ll have the chance to post a review of one or all in exchange for a token reward. Guidelines for reviews will be posted, but ideally it will follow the format of prior book clubs.
Please drop your thread suggestions below. Each person (read: not each account) may submit ONE thread for review. I am waiving any token costs for submitting your thread this month because we really need submissions, but in the future, it will be 10 Tokens or so to submit a thread for review.
Ideally, pick COMPLETED threads that are long enough to have a coherent character arc but short enough to not be overwhelming. So, likely below 10k words, but if you think your 15k thread is snappy enough for fast reading, go ahead!
