Starting Location? Inverxe

Character Behavior
Tyr is a Determined Destroyer.

Outside of Combat, Tyr has a difficulty connecting to anyone at all, due to the trauma of her experiences, and has been left inhuman in many respects. While she is, perhaps out of sympathy for others in her situation, against bullying the weak with her own abilities, she looks at humans matters as - human matters, or at least tries to. While she won't kill for no reason and does not see humans as food or targets, she lacks any hesitation in killing those who stand in her way. All of her work now is to regain a body with some semblance of what she needs, and to gain vengeance against the magus who left her in such a state, and this obsession fills her vision. despite this, Those of her family, or who know her family, still get special consideration, as she has not yet abandoned them within her thoughts.

In combat, while Tyr has lost her former magical abilities, she has retained a set of sharpened instincts that make her incredibly good at finding weak spots and utilizing even brand-new capabilities with a surprising degree of finesse, so long as those skills are those specialized in the taking of lives and the pleasure of combat. She may lack any physical training but even without a proper form to fall back on, she's quite capable of ending lives and improvising deadly attacks on the fly.

Physical Description:

Tyr's true form is that of an ancient zerg strain, a worm no taller than two feet in height, capable of burrowing into and parasitizing other creatures. Though rarely seen in this form, in which she is most vulnerable, it is the form required for her to perform fusion or other tasks. in this form she is physically helpless and reliant on any psionic or magical abilities she is left with.

As a hydralisk, Tyr is covered with muscles and chitin, filled with power. she lacks legs, having instead a wormlike tail with protruding spikes used for grip, and a pair of arms that end in wicked scythes. though she retains vocal cords, they may only be used for growling and gnashing, and she lacks the ability to use human speech.

Character History:

Tif Cameo was born to a long lineage known for intellect, loyalty, and a particular talent for combat in its myriad forms. Tif was more slight of frame than most of her siblings, but stood out in two particular ways from her fellow siblings: A remarkable talent for magic and a desire to be left very much alone.

Learning all she could in Arcadia’s colleges concerning elemental magics, she quickly became a powerful battle mage, combining her magical prowess with her combat instincts. She quickly grew in progress, and became well-known for her skill among those who continued the art both seriously or for the sport of it, but eventually, Tif found herself bored by her competitors. The truly powerful mages did not often agree to simple duels, and she was not so tactless to force the issue, but the idea of combat entranced her enough that she chose to separate from it, growing distant from her family and friends by embroiling in magical research.

Eventually, despite her family’s growing concerns about it, she chose to isolate herself in a solitary tower, situated on a small, rounded asteroid in the outer reaches of the Beyond. A simulated garden environment, a teleportation circle to allow for limited travel back and forth for supplies, and a well-stocked library allowed her and a few servants to live relatively undisturbed. As she grew more obsessed with magical research, she grew more and more distant with her family, her last contact with them having been Lan Cameo’s tenth birthday. Still, for the most part, her life was quiet, her research was well-loved, and she was relatively happy. The life she’d chosen was fitting, at least for her and her alone, and her servants were company enough. All was as it should be…

Until the Wizard came.

A herald of the void, he claimed as he was exterminating her servants, breaking through her wards with a flick of his wrists and destroying constructs and men alike with spells of horrifying power and efficiency.

The duel between them was relatively even but short, The stranger, naming himself Sandro, quickly cutting through her mystical defences and more powerful attacks with strange spells that altered time, space, and reality itself to suit his whims. Her defences were overwhelmed with trickery, and a dagger that cut through her magical barriers as easily as it did her enchanted robes found its way between her ribs from behind.

Tif Cameo died instantly, but her desire for revenge for her servants, and her concern at the strangers lofty opinion of her family name, compelled her to keep her shape. Instead of dissolving into the misty depths of the afterlife, she held on as a ghost, just long enough to see her original body occupied by another - An old apprentice, as she learned from Sandro’s jubilation, here to use her old body as a puppet - and blessed with all of her magical knowledge and strength, something Tif realised, to her horror, she’d now lost.

Still, her will was strong, and she attempted to surprise the two with the spectral power inherent to a spirit still bound to the world. Tapping into new reserves using instincts that hadn’t been tested in decades, she attempted to crush them with a burst of telekinesis…

Alas, she was a ghost amongst necromancers, and Sandro quickly retook control of the situation, binding her to his will in but a moment. Still, as she struggled, he admitted to being impressed by her willpower, as well as it’s source, interest kindling in the ghost, to her horror.

He was quick to explain, almost out of the blue, the origins of the zerg to her. How they originated as a parasitic species, wormlike, that burrowed into the bodies of others to use them as puppets, and to feed on their spinal fluids, before learning to evolve them over time.

Tif initially thought him mad, ranting even as his enchanted gauntlets squeezed her by the throat, before he took a squirming thing from his pocket, and despair entered Tif’s frame as she felt herself blacking out.

When next she awoke, it was to a body with too many legs, a disordered number of eyes, and a shell lacking any sort of feeling or warmth.

The new larva slowly crawled over to the nearest pond, saw the horror of it’s body, and curled up into a ball for the next several hours, quiet only because it lacked the vocal cords to scream.

It was only a day later that Tif finally found the will to move forward. Despite what horrors had been done to her, she still knew her former body was out there with Sandro, wreaking havoc. Some part of her was concerned about them doing these same, horrible things to other people, but the greater part of her mind…

Well, the greater part of her mind didn’t care. If she’d been reduced to such a state by sandro, then by hell or high water she would have her revenge, and kill him and his apprentice both. The hatred flowing in her new veins motivated her, fuelled her, and drove her further into the tunnels of Inverxe, looking for a host she could stomach taking.

One came along, distant memories reminding her it was one of the… zerg, she believed. As she learned a moment later, a patroller for the illithid. The instinct that made taking the host before her so easy made the process no less horrifying, as mandibles clicked through chitin and dug through alien flesh, leaving her in control of the Hydralisk, a creature whose mind struggled, then faded, in Tif’s panicked grip grip.

The process left Tif with even less of her sanity, as she embraced her monstrous path, and as she burrowed into the creature she felt her grip on her own humanity slipping. Deciding, at last, to rename herself, she chose the word ‘Tyr’, an ancient god she’d heard the history of from her cousin Chroma, though she had lost far more than a single hand, nor had she been given such a peaceful end as being devoured by a wolf.

The new monster strode forward with purpose as it moved towards a singular goal, unwilling to die, yet no longer living. No queen, no mage, no human, but simple vengeance, sucked inexorably towards it’s target.

Abilities/Skills:

Host body: Hydralisk
Damage 5 (500)
-Ranged (+250)
-limited: only at ranges longer than 5 meters (-250)
Protection 4 (400)
-ongoing modifier (+400)
Movement: rank 1: burrowing(+200)
Damage 3 (300)
Move object 3 (300)
-ongoing: (300)
-Sjde Effect: no hands (-150)
Total cost: 2250 Essence

Tyr has so far stretched her parasitic abilities to take over the body of a Hydralisk, the zerg beast having quite a bit of raw power, if lacking in versatility. The Hydralisk is capable of using the back-mounted dorsal spines it retains to fire a barrage of acid-tipped spines, the bolts doing significant damage on impact, though this ability is so inaccurate as to be completely useless at distances of less than 5 meters. The Hydralisks also retain the versatility to burrow underground by vibrating through it, or to cause severe harm to others with it's scythelike hands. While it retains quite a bit of strength, as well, this comes with the trade-off of being unable to lift or grip most things in a traditional fashion, leaving it's ability to use that strength in a less than versatile form.

Symbiosis:
Fusion (rank 2): (1000)
-ongoing (+100)
-limited (Only passes on magical or mental abilities) (-50)
Total cost: 1050 essence
Tyr can choose to join with another sentient being that has the interest in order to produce a fusion, able to add her mental might and power and share control of the body with their new 'host'. In most cases with another human or otherwise, control is shared and leaving is, somehow, surprisingly painless, though leaves a scar just below the back of the neck.

Psychic blast:
damage 2 (200)
-ranged (+100)
-Finite (-100)
-Debuff 1: Disorienting (100)
-ranged (+50)
-finite: (-50)
Total cost: 300
Only dimly aware of her own power, Tyr has begun to manifest psychic abilities. Currently, this manifests in a relatively weak blast of psychic energy she can use to repel opponents that prove beyond the grasp of her physical capabilities. as she is a relatively new psychic, using this ability takes a toll, and she may only use it at most three times before taking a minute to recover her tiny reservoir of psychic energy.

Affinities: Exceptional

Total Essence Spent: 3,600[/spoiler]

Hey there, apologies for the delay. Let’s go ahead and dive right into this switch app, shall we?

General Note - You’ll probably need to purchase a Shrinking ability if you intend for your character to return to her true form at any point.

For “Host body: Hydralisk” -

Movement is 200E per Rank of Effect. Since you have Movement Rank 2, this would be 400E, not just 200E.

For your Move Object Effect, I would say your Limited negative modifier would make more sense if you called it a Side Effect.
