I have been playing through the Nintendo switches pokemon games and whilst none of them are top tier it's still a franchise I hold very dear to myself so I thought a fun little thought experiment would be if your character were to be Isekai'd into the pokemon universe what would they collect along their journey.
You can list teams for one character, or all your characters and explain the picks in as much detail or as little as you want. Can even go into detail with what their goals in the world would be, would they set out from their home town intent on completing the pokemon league challenge? Would they have a more scientific approach and try to complete the pokedex, or just be a bit of a bastard and join one of the many villainous teams for profit or some grandiose evil scheme? I will get us started! I try to stick to one starter and one legendary myself just out of personal preference,
Victor Wolfe
Victor would likely end up joining up with team rocket if I am honest, Giovanni is just the sort of charismatic leader that Vic usually ends up falling for, although I could see him doing the gym challenge just to prove that he can. He however would probably not take a particular shine to any of the more rocket-focused pokemon instead building a team for his own aesthetic/nostalgia for former friends.
Malamar - A dark psychic octopus Reminding Victor of Sigmund with its ability to use its psychic powers to mess with other people and its blue colour scheme being shown to control people in a cult-like manner.
Salazzle - A fire poison female only pokemon that builds a harem of male salandits around itself and is toxic enough to poison steel types that are normally immune to the condition, Victor always tends to have toxic women around so why not a literal pokemon one.
Armarouge - A strong psychic fire warrior in golden armour, very powerful and would remind Victor of Gilgamesh so would be useful on the party.
Politoed - Whilst Seismatoad would probably fit more with its ground and water typing, the Suwako nostalgia would come in the form of Politoad, the happy green frog, he would probably just make sure it knew dig or earthquake to further remind him of a friend.
Primal Groudon - The Legendary of the team would be Victor's stand in for Cho, being the Avatar he is a legendary figure and is an earthbender that is working on mastering fire bending so the ground fire typing Vic would feel is fitting.
Ace pokemon and starter : Serperior! A smug snake with contrast so things that normally weaken it actually make it stronger (like how Vic gets buffed healing when hurt) Serperiors main art on Bulbipedia is pretty much how Vic always looks when annoyed so a very good fit.
