Appearances

Sophia has all the appearances of a nice-looking woman in her early twenties. A former priestess, she has since given up the robes and other accoutrements of that job and now dresses in her own fashion sense (for better or worse).​

Personality

Despite some turbulence in her life over the last few years, Sophia has remained generally level-headed and calm, even under great duress. She can be drawn to frustration, but such an act would require a great deal of effort. While her religious dedication has sometimes ebbed and flowed over the years, she remains always dedicated to what she thought her ‘true’ calling was—healing people. She appreciates the value and effect of smiling, and tries to do so as often as she can. The priestess easily connects with people, giving her the ideal bedside manner for her “patients.”​

Possible Reactions

Sophia is a kind person at her heart. She is likely to avoid violence as a first reaction, but when pushed into a corner, she will defend herself (or her partners/colleagues/patients) with an unrivaled ferocity. She would never be someone to betray even a stranger, because that goes against her training, both in her faith and as a healer.​

Fighting Style

Even after previously winning a competition and helping to defeat a few regional madmen, Sophia is still learning how to fight. That said, she can adequately throw a punch or kick, though she’s nowhere close to being polished. She is still prone to randomly flailing around instead of calculating her next move. She has no preference between close- and long-range combat, as she’s equally sufficient in both. Sophia is unique in the sense that, while she can heal, she can also drain the life from individuals, and she is able to apply poison-like effects. Hurt or heal, indeed.​

NPC Handicap and Notes

Handicap – Sophia is one of the unlikeliest of Grand Champions. Someone who has dedicated her life to faith and healing shares status with a variety of lunatics, bloodthirsty warriors, and Southern villains. Her handicap is a 2.​

Notes – Sophia, given her life’s calling, is perhaps the best judge of character on the island. She will likely seek to ally with anyone who is good natured.​

Unique – Sophia is the only individual on the Comet who can supersede the collar restrictions and heal others (she would never be so selfish as to heal herself when others may be suffering).​
