The Recreation Dome contains various restaurants and bars serving a plethora of cuisines spread out across a few levels. The top several floors contain a handful of high-tech movie theatres screening blockbusters old, new, and alien to the individuals attending the convention. There are a variety of rooms that can be rented for public and private use for people who want to play other types of games.

Kyle stared at the collar given to him by the man when he signed up and frowned. He made it a point to ask the General later what the hell these things were for anyway.

The Tech-Com second in command moved toward a bar area, most people around the area were gone.

“Where’s your latest phone book?!”

The bartender frowned, confused “What?!”

Your dial phones!” Kyle barked aloud.

The bartender let out a heavy sigh and pointed to an old dusty black phone in the background. “This what you are looking for, stranger?”
The solider nodded “Thank you.” as he simply moved his hands through a torn, dusty old phone book directory as nothing happened even as Kyle entered a quarter.

But what shocked John’s father the most that a hologram made him almost jump out of his skin.

“What in the…”

He found John’s comm number somewhere in the book, just in tinder letters.

“Who is this? How did you find my comm number?”

“SIR!” Kyle stood stiff in front of his Commander and let off a light salute.

“Kyle? You made it here, ok?”

“At precisely 1700 hrs or 5:00 PM, sir”

John nodded and frowned “What did you want to ask me?”
Kyle pointed to the silver “band” around his arm “What the heck is this?”

John closed his eyes for a bit and remembered the silly silver band from last year’s DA. “That, father is your collar that connects you with the Bobinator.”

Kyle looked back and gritted his teeth “So what you are telling me is that your guardian can suddenly read my thoughts?!”

John was silent and responded “At ease, Sgt, I’m sure you can’t read Uncle Bob’s thoughts as much as he can read your thoughts.

Kyle growled, “That doesn’t make me feel any better, John!”

The Sgt growled at his higher-ranked son lightly and frowned “How did this Karl Jak treat those who survived?”

John looked away and frowned “He expects you to save the world and some more, he laughed at me when he mentioned you.”

Kyle was silent “You said yourself I died in 1984, but I’m back to prove myself.”

The wayward Commander sighed “I’m not sure of most of the details, but there’s a lot to explain to you if you survive, Sgt. Don’t let me down.”

Kyle couldn't help but hold back a grunt "Yes, sir. I won't let you down."

He shut the holograms off and sighed, deciding to sit at the empty bar area, staring up at the contestants coming in. The Tech-Com soldier blinked and swore when he saw what a DRAGON was and what, a talking penguin come into this place. Just what did John think he was?

Dawn of Fate: The Day Before the Battle
Kyle could hear the vibrations of his general son speaking to him several times like movie reels in his head and each time, his son gave some sort of emotional speech to fight back against the machines.

The wayward Sgt had spent his life putting his life in danger for his important son. This time he could feel himself being pulled into a memory:

There was General Connor on a stage in front of his Tech-Com forces looking at each of them. Kyle was in the back eyeing his son and listening intensely.
He knew valuable information about the future because of his own knowledge.

"The machines think that we cannot win. The machines think that we will not strike, at the very heart of Skynet. Yet, here we stand on the precipice of the final battle. If we die tonight, mankind dies with us. I look at each of you and see the marks of this long & terrible war. For our children, our children's children, they will not carry these marks. But they will know who we are, & what we did. That we did not bow down, we did not give in! We rose at this moment! At this hour, willing to sacrifice everything! So that they could live in freedom! ON THIS NIGHT, WE TAKE BACK OUR WORLD!"

Kyle couldn't help but smile at his son's words that day, but he had to trust in his general son's words now more than ever.
That way he had to take one day at a time.
He looked over at the other Tech-Com forces in the Hologram with General Connor wishing Kyle all the luck in the world.

Yet he never knew what Terminators thought of frequently.
Did the T-800 ever think of how he'd react to Kyle working with him?
Yes, Connor had seen the inside of a terminator's mind, but did he ever know what a terminator was thinking?
Was it really thinking about Skynet's control over it and switching one "master" to another?

Do terminators really dream of sheep? Who knows.
