Character Behavior
Broly is a Functional Psychopath. His thirst for combat and war are befitting of any saiyan. He is a tried and true combat veteran having served in his family's military and been part of several wars in his fifty years, Broly knows how to fight. It doesn’t take a lot of brains to know how to fight. He is ruthless and efficient at what he does. However, due to time and experience, Broly has developed his ability to see logic and reason. He’s capable of being a functional person outside of combat and carrying on like a normal person. Broly is very much in it for himself and his wife. They always seek to further their combat experience and do things only to benefit themselves or their comrades in arms. If Broly is participating in anything you can be sure he has an angle or is after something for him and his wife. Very seldomly do Broly and Meredia do anything selfless. You need to convince them that what you’re asking will benefit them in some way to acquire their help.

Character History:

Broly, born into the Elite Class and noble House Glendale, was the youngest of the two heirs. Richard, the oldest, was heir to the House and all its titles. However, his younger brother would inherit command of the Glendale Levies. Richard was to be the prodigal son, but in a time when the rival houses were vying for a Super Saiyan heir, Broly was the one who broke through first. At the young age of nine the young warrior was drilling with the Master-at-Arms like usual when, what would not be known until decades later, his genetic anomaly broke free in a bout of anger. Besting the seasoned Saiyan warrior that was training him and slaughtering several other guards before collapsing, Glendale was rocketed to the King’s number one choice for military support and for Imperial funding. In the years that followed the young Broly brought great honor to his family name, conquering each objective set before him. His ferocity and tenacity on the battlefield had not been seen in a Glendale heir for centuries. Richard could do nothing but watch from the sidelines even as his own transformation had been achieved. However, it had come too late. The Skleros Family, the rival Noble House, had produced an heiress with extreme latent combat ability who had already mastered what they believed to be the better version. Broly was an unrefined barbarian in combat. His strength, speed, and sensory ability went unmatched, but such talent in a child led to the eventual decline of his military career during the Frost Wars. The young Broly favored slaughter while transformed over accomplishing battle objectives the more he fought. This resulted in what came to be known as the Glendale Schism to House Skleros. Shunning Broly and placing their faith in his older brother Richard, the House leaders had no choice but to force their now false prodigy into submission. Richard beat down his younger brother and forced him to learn how to transform into a variant that came to be known as Super Saiyan – Grade One. Broly’s true potential lay in the fact that he possessed the ability to transform into a version nobody had ever seen. A transformation that only legend had spoken of. He could not be controlled. When the Frost Wars concluded Broly was in his late thirties. He was only a Glendale by blood at this point.

Deciding it best to leave his home province behind, the young adult Saiyan fled into Zulenkan territory where he met Raden and his legitimized daughter Meredia. The younger woman was immediately smitten with the estranged Elite Class that had wandered into their fiefdom. Raden Zulenka, the current and unfavorable head of House Zulenka, promised Broly safe harbor if he were to do the unthinkable. Marry Meredia for political reasons and create a military alliance between what forces Broly could muster from Glendale and the Zulenkan Army to march on the Skleroi Legion on the northern border. As his family had not formally disowned him the Imperial Court upheld the marriage and the first military pact between a low-class house and an elite-class house was founded. With the support of the shock infantry Broly could muster from his hometown’s garrison, the two Houses marched on the Skleros Army and thus began the Zulenkan Conquest-War for House Skleros. It was during this three-year war while serving as Generals on the battlefield, Broly and Meredia fell in love. Time, experience, and age had tempered Broly into an even more efficient killing machine. He wasn’t as reckless or barbaric. There was precision applied to his actions. His wife on the other hand was pure volcano through and through just like any Zulenka before her. Quick to anger and extremely vicious on the battlefield, it was usually Broly who had to reel her in. Though he found her raw fighting spirit extremely amusing. She was often beating people to death with the very wrench she used to fix Zulenkan tanks.

Unfortunately, on the eve of Broly’s 50th birthday the final battle of the war saw the Zulenkan forces completely decimated. Fleeing with his wife and what Glendale soldiers he had left, the Legendary Super Saiyan crossed back into his family province to find that his father had passed everything to his older brother, who had turned the family into a war machine at the expense of its subjects. Richard immediately ordered the arrest of both his younger brother, who at this point was a pretender to the House titles, and the torture and execution of his wife. Broly used his knowledge of the Glendale estate to sneak in and challenge his brother to one on one combat. Like a coward, Richard refused. Broly’s reckless attempt to get back at his brother saw both him and wife imprisoned. After weeks of interrogation and torture they were both beheaded in front of the palace on the Glendale family estate.

While their souls were supposed to be ushered into King Yemma’s domain for judgment, they were not. An unseen force pulled them into the universe of Multerra, giving them corporeal forms again and thrusting them into a world at war on Cevanti. Because of the transfer Broly had been forced into and permanently stuck in SSJ1. He found that it took no toll on him and he could operate as normal in the basic ascended form. He had yet to test if his legendary form was available. The first few weeks were rough. They lived on the street and could barely get anything to eat or drink. Both Broly and his wife lost a considerable amount of weight due to starvation. It wasn’t until the siege of Markov were they forcefully conscripted into the armed forces brought to bear by Cytokine Industries. Assigned to a battalion under the command of Roy Mustang, Meredith and Broly were given a crash course in how to pilot and man one of the standard issue tanks for Cytokine Industries. The dual railgun mounted Schism Mk V was the main battle tank fielded to handle the zoid forces brought to Markov by Fade. The vehicle was manned by a four person crew, Gordo being assigned to them as a driver and Grady being responsible for the loading of the railgun slugs. Broly was the commander, and Meredith took up position as main gunner and crew mechanic. They performed reasonably well. By the end of the siege they were certainly battle tested, but the fight had taken its toll on everyone. During the aftermath and clean up from the siege, Broly and his squad were transferred to the Pilot’s Union as part of the 13th Armored Division being newly formed and assigned for perimeter defense while the city wall and its infrastructure was repaired.
