I failed to catch this with Doug's request (which is one me), but yea -- if you're asking for a World Quest, it's random, and you're not supposed to be able to dictate the plot or duration. If you already have a plot in mind, you should go write that plot! World Quests are for random adventures.

Quest Description: Jak Mar, someone who has already seen a bunch of goofy worlds in goofy universes, arrives in another goofy world in another goofy universe. Separated from his life partner Daxter, he finds himself a little confused about how and why he is here. What Jak quickly learns is that he has been granted yet another tabula rasa. He can’t get a hold of his allies, but he also believes that those who once hounded him are likewise absent.
Is this a new start? Make your way through the strange streets of Arcadia, Jak Mar. Steep yourself in a new beginning. Will you be a hero? Will the Dynamite Kid give more into his Dark side?
After some time, you will find Daxter, your ally. Is this the same Daxter? A new one? (you decide)
Find your partner and start your new beginning, Mr. Mar.

"Foraging for Danger"
Quest Giver: Ricter Casenger
Quest Length: 2,500 words
Quest Location: Kraw
Quest Prerequisites: Must not be an enemy of New Abraxas and can enter and exit with out any trouble.
Quest Description: On a poster board near the front section of town in Abraxas you may find a simple request flier pinned to it. Stating the name of the patron, even showing where to find them to discuss things in more detail, leading them to a food stand if they followed the directions. Yet, over all the flier would say the following.
“Hello! To those looking for a bit of excitement and danger with some from of reward, I have a request to give. I’ve been in constant need of ingredients seemingly located in a deep section of the jungle, yet it tends to be the den of horrendous creatures that enjoy ripping people apart. If you can bring me a bundle of White Oak flowers you will be rewarded for your kindness and heroism. They look like off white flowers that shimmer dust with seemingly wilting petals. Additionally if your lucky enough to defeat one of the monsters, you’ll likely encounter in the area, I’ll even turn its head, limbs, or what ever into a trophy for you to hang up on your wall!”
At the bottom you will read a simple summery for what is over all needed.
Goal: Find and bring back a bundle of White Oak flowers, at least ten.
Location: Boreas Cave’s, randomly dotted around the jungle and easy to find near the lightly dense sections of the planet.
Risks: Gastodon, Raptors, Giant Hornets, and many more aggressive monsters.
Rewards: Money, and for the glory seekers, a skull trophy of what ever you manage to kill and haul back. (Optional)
Repeatable: Yes
Even further at the bottom you find a small ad scribbled on saying: “If you manage to not die feel free to buy some freshly baked donuts from me as well, capable of healing even the most wary of an adventurers woes!” (Quest begins when you exit into the wilderness)

Quest Description: Confronted with an armed response after attempting to intimidate a merchant, Conrad must escape from pole-arm clad thugs and back into the city’s underbelly. He must regain his bearings—the merchant will most certainly have to be dealt with. As he navigates through a shady assortment of folks in dark hoods and corner alleys, Conrad discovers that his merchant friend owns a large share in an entertainment complex in the city that hosts marquee fights, gambling, and various races.
The complex also has a vault stuffed with hard cash and other valuables. Breaking the vault and making off with the contents would ruin the merchant and give Conrad more wealth than he could shake a stick at. Yet, he can’t do it alone. Even with his vast repertoire of skills and wit, he will have to recruit a handful of experts to deal with the many nuances involved in infiltrating the palace-like building, cracking the vault, and absconding with its contents.
