“J…Jak?”
The pleading human eyed his darker friend in literal fear. The shorter human stepped back and held a hand in front of Fei and Beta. They shouldn’t have to be involved in their problems. But now they were, and so was he.

“Did Jak just do the unthinkable?”

Of all the times Jak had to run off and be mean and nasty, now wasn’t the greatest time. The long knife eared man eyed Fei and Beta “I.. gotta take this, you two.”

With newfound blood lust, Dark eyed his sword with glares that could kill anyone if he stared long enough. Enough that people egan to get confused from looking at the blur that was the beast and they shrugged it off, thinking it was one of the local inhabitants around Arcadia.

Call it some sort of instinct but the dark man had just as much endurance as a darkened athletic prowess animal did. As expected, the dark man took advantage of his feral side, jumping small, easy to jump over buildings, keeping a grasp on Jak’s sword, which somehow made him stronger. No wonder that damn baron wanted this so bad.

In hopping over tall buildings, he hoped to attract little attention to himself in the process. His nose picked various scents which distracted him, hopefully Jak’s friend didn’t follow him or contact anyone in the process.

Somehow Dark watched Jak celebrating all over town winning with his newfound friends and allies and he could use it to his advantage. He thought about Shinku and Jak’s allyship and how it was on all right terms. It was also revealed to him that Jak had contacts other than Shinku, much like a faction. One he once had rocky footing with.

Dark smirked “This will be too interesting, fools.”

A blur followed him from the background as someone used his human form to transform back into an ottsel and sighed “Jak, not this time, not this DAMN time I don’t plan to lose you!”

It was only made known to the dark beast to stop when a loud noise came up on Jak’s Comm as “Anon”. Should he take this call? From whom of all the people who want to contact him?
A rough voice and snort came over the comms “So…. I heard you are looking for something interesting, stranger. I’ve been watching more than you know or like, and I know your antics and moves. I’ve seen someone named Jak in Dante’s Comet before, but I haven’t seen the power and abilities you have before.”

“You want to join WYVERN? Prove to me you have the power and mettle required to take on space pirating.”

“Perhaps we might have a use for you.”

General Ridley

Dark found Jak’s old ship where he left it and hopped in it, moving his fingers among the controls, being able to read the language of precursor and set it for “Mesa.” Daxter screamed as he was too late and said ship had left him in Erde, cursing and embarrassed.

Dark sat pacing in the strange machine known as a rocket with a pocket comm in his hands, listening to this Ridley speaking of great reward and more. The King muttered something aloud. “Was this a setup or legitimate?”

STAFF EDIT, REPEATED TEXT: The beast took advantage of Dark smirks “Fools” as he is suddenly quiet from Erde and lands on Mesa.

As Dark explores the sights and smells of Mesa, he is contacted with a quest of some kind with promise of great reward and something grander.

The dark king stares at this debating what this was, was this a setup or legitimate?

The beast would find out as he scraped a hint of blood from the ground.

He let the taste of blood hit his tongue, letting the taste be refreshing for once. Jak never fed him enough blood after all.

He sat and ripped apart what he could find of leftover animal meat, enjoying the raw blood and licking it off his lips.

The darkened man was searching for his target this time. The beast moved his finger, a trail of blood led to his target. Even though dark liked his kills, he preferred them clean enough to not leave a trail.

It took some time to craft a real plan of some sort, which the ottsel would have made that easier to do.

Dark started to feel more of him come as soon as the blood hit his throat.

Being himself was mostly a long time coming. Dark’s lavender body held black streaks spreading around his body.

After his “meal” for the day, he found himself more serious now as the man took the path least taken. Staring at the map, the demon king pointed where he needed to go. He was searching for a specific outpost of the house of Sklver.

The demon steeled himself for what could happen in the long run but he’s had plenty of practice over time. The darkness snuck his way through the cover of night of Mesa, keeping a low profile .

Any resistance would be dealt with swiftly and quickly probably being the demon’s next meal.
As the rocket made it’s way through space and landed on Mesa, it left him with a sense of familiarity. The place where Jak found himself many times before. Where Jak defeated enemies here with him trapped.” No More!”
Dark looked at the mission again, replaying the message. How would this serve him overall? Free cash, blood, and power? Sounds right up his ally.”

It didn’t take him long to get his first taste of blood on the ground. Sweet, metallic, cold blood in his mouth. His claw scratched the ground, and he licked up the blood savoring each cell. He had to complain, Jak never used him much, never fed him enough blood.

He sat and ripped apart what he could find of leftover animal meat, enjoying the raw blood and licking it off his lips. Even though animal blood would temporarly feed his bloodlust, it would only last so long. Hopefully that bloodlust would carry him far. The darkened man was searching for his target this time. What would someone like him do in this time? He moved his finger, a trail of blood slid down the map leading to his target. Even though dark liked his kills, he preferred them clean enough to not leave a trail.

It took some time to craft a real plan of some sort, which the ottsel would have made that easier to do and be useful in the process.
How long had it been since he’d been freed? Years? Days? He had forgotten after all.

He felt his other sides laughing at him. They celebrated while he slaved away. Being back to himself was a long time coming as streaks lined the Dark King’s lavender body.

It was nice for one meal, but he needed more than that. This mission would serve to be to his purpose after all..

The house of Sklver. What was it anyway? A previously unknown target to the eco warrior’s side had made it known as a target that needed to be devastated and destroyed. The General Space Pirate leader hadn’t specified what outpost to destroy but it shouldn’t be too much of a pain for the demon.

The demon ate blood until the cover of night and used the dark as to become a blur and found himself, using all his senses as a animal and a demon all in one before he ran into a scrappy building, bigger than he would of thought. Cars aplenty for those who needed it, not many defenses which was surprising to the demon himself and no guard patrols around what would be a important location, clearly.

Advanced tech might of been the outposts strong suit, but surprisingly the people inside? Not the brightest. Bored soldiers paced the inside, snoring up a storm, muttering about why they got picked for the job and how boring it was to protect the most important thing there or so they said.

The Dark King slowly paced into the outpost, wondering if this was the right thing to do or not, Probably Light or Jak’s influence bothering him already. Cursed morality.

Sands blowing through the dark man’s hair only served to remind him of his friends and his faction that Jak had joined and was loyal to so far. He squeezed the seal of Mar as he cursed. It only served to remind him of everything he had once before.

He saw Victor’s look at his face, his new face, not Jak’s face. He saw a scowl remain on the man’s face after what the new Jak had done and what he was going to do.

He saw Daxter’s face disappointed in him as the dark warrior grabbed ahold of one of the guards as he ripped a sharp finger against the guard’s neck letting the blood trickle down into his tounge.

Who or what had he become? His own worst enemy? His faction’s worse enemy or new ally? Who knew anymore.

The other guard had woken up too late to be smashed into the ground as Dark took pleasure in his blood as well.

Enough to cause a stain, no guards were left to raise a alarm which was good enough for dark.

How many foes would show up? Who would be there to greet? What defenses did the outpost have after all? He finished his gritty work and was silent before Ridley reminded him that the communication device area was especially important to this House and destroying it was a key priority.

These were already answered for him as he eyed the tech around him, the goodies left behind for the dark beast to take for his loot and more. What exactly did he need? He grabbed some of the gold, weapons and some light tech left behind before he could destroy the place completely and fully.

Dark continued his assault on the guards, taking them out with ruthless efficiency and leaving no one alive. Dark was ruthless and smart, but it didn’t mean he didn’t enjoy his kills.

Something that would gross Jak or Light but would delight his new boss would be a “trophy” for the road.

Dark took a trophy of a head for the road, a requirement in goodwill toward Ridley.

He threw it in a bag along with the other treasure as he smirked and took out a match, smashing the computer tech before him and the comms and letting the flame trickle around the building as the building quickly took flames and went up. The smell of sand and burning would make dark smirk, pride at his work well done.

He took one look back at the outpost and his old life and questioned if the power he gained was worth the lived he killed and destruction he caused.

Dark knew this was a no turning back zone and he was now committed to his path of blood, power and conquest. He stood there letting the outpost rot in the unforgiving desert, knowing this was just one of many stops in the long journey to domination and ultimate power.

Suddenly stumbling from Light and Jak trying to gain influence again, Dark coughed fighting to keep control. “Shit, this job … has to pay me a favor after all I’ve done.”

Dark gritted his teeth as he braced for the battleground located in his host’s head again.
Jak stood up shaking off the dust within his own head.

“What? What the Fuck did you do? Jak!!! He heard screaming in his head as he looked shaken holding a bag with goodies and much more and then a bag with a head.

“Ah!!!! Holy shit! DARK!!!!”

Dark stalked onto his throne, the battleground of states just sat there “You know how to complete a job right, Jak? This is how to do it right!”

Jak just stood there, and realized Dark did this and if he got caught, he’d be blamed for Darks action.

Jak heard that crawling voice in his head again “That’s right, I am you and you get to be blamed for my actions.”

Jak just punched the ground in anger “No! I could of stopped this. “

Dark smirked “you didn’t and couldn’t. I told you you are weak and under me Jak.”

Jak pushed up “After all we did for you!”

The angel sighed and pushed up “M..Mar, it’s not worth it to push him. He’ll…”

Jak sighed “No, I’m a man now and He is myself as well.”

The eco warrior stared at himself, his demonic self-staring boredly at him.

“What? Come back when you can fight me.”

Jak felt somewhat insulted “You are bored of us?”

The demon laughs “What’s the point? I’ll let you have your fun for now.”

Light was suspicious “What did you…”

Jak growled “……”

Dark frowned “Calm down you two, it’s not like this has happened yet.”

Jak raised a eyebrow “fucking .. you did it , didn’t you?”

Dark frowned “You don’t have a choice in the matter, you will just make me get off my throne now and make me beat the choice out of yo-

“In that matter, where’s the Precursors now when they need you?” Dark stands slowly clapping at Jak and Light’s weak and feeble attempts to stop him. He taunted “Where’s your friends now?”

Jak stood “They are still there, looking for me and others out there?!”

The demon laughed “Nah, they are burrowing in their anger and own sorrows.”

The man yelled back “Daxter, Victor and the others won’t leave me to myself! I know it!”

Dark laughed in Jak’s face “HHAHAHHAHA! That’s a good one! Since when is their record of accomplishment clean after the last time?”

Jak wasn’t sure how to respond to that as he was shaking.

The angel blinked and stepped up “Don’t listen, he’s ripping you apart! You know it. You have the power to choose what you think and feel.”

The demon can only control your negative emotions and not your positive ones. Only I can do that.”
Dark smiled, this was too easy to make the others angry at their so-called friendship. What would friendship serve to a new boss?

The angel was quiet and whispered to Jak. “He can’t.”

Jak smirked “You can’t control my thoughts, Dark. Only I can.”

Dark looked at the two and frowned “Again?!

“Tch, annoying scum. I should of gotten rid of you two when I had the chance. Now you’ll regret messing with me.”

The Nobel light stepped up once again shielding Jak from The Dark King’s attempt at getting at the host himself while the eco warrior searched for anything to protect himself from Dark.

Jak’s eyes flashed in defiance as his eyes changed colors from the various sides colliding.

“Get up, Dark. Can you fight me? I didn’t think so!” The angel taunted as it laid on Dark pinning himself to the ground as the dark King roared and pushed up the angel feeling stronger than he was before. “Come on, try me.” the demon hissed.

The battle between the sides was intense but sadly the outcome was the same. The Light was crushed under the intense pressure of the dark king's power leaving Jak vulnerable to Dark's wrath.

Dark slammed a fist against Light’s face, leaving marks “Come on, fight light. Come on!”

Jak gritted his teeth “LIGHT!” “Fight.”

Mesa started to grind on the beast. The sand and heat dropped down the dark man’s lavender body as he only held temporary control over the eco warrior’ s body.

Dark eco flowed freely through the desert as the poison ran through Jak’s veins as the beast gobbled up the eco as much as free flowing water.

In turn the poison started to overtake the green eco within and gave the eco warrior an white dark eco hinge in his hair.

Once again, Jak’s adventures try to creep up again trying to pelt the beast into giving up his control.

Dark mutters “Precursor that, Precursor this, I’d say where’s your precious precursor now?”

Dark made it a point to take in what he could.

After all, what he did, Jak did, right?

A brewing of evil passed through the evil eco warrior’s eyes as they began to glow an extra intense shade of black with yellow in it like yellow eco had been infused with his form.

His smile twisted into a more dangerous and creepy one than before.

His form grew within power and he felt it. It felt great !

The light was having trouble staying alight.

They had to either get stronger or give… up. That was not going to.. happen.

The angel wheezed “P…Precursors heal me.”

Jak’s sword lit up and glowed and the precursor came out, coming into Jak’s body. The angel lit up and green absorbed into the angel's body and lit up his eyes, giving extra strength to him.

“Agggggh!” The angel precursor mix pushed back.

Even with the new strength, Dark laughed and pushed back, taking control again. The dark always came back stronger sometimes. Dark took his body prize and carried the supplies needed to the ship. He pressed a button on the anon message comm again, “Is this Lord Ridley?”

He was supposed to be this dragon lord with powerful plasma since he'd been watching the death game, but the dragon pirate had been keeping silent for the longest time. Instead of what he expected, he got a message from his second in command.

The anon message was silent for a few minutes and static came over the holo com. and Jermix appeared in Dark’s comms. “Who are you and what do you want, stranger?” called Jarvax, second in command of Ridley. A bug-space pirate that looked like a metal head from Jak’s world but blue and red with no gem. Dark grunted “I’m… on a mission for this Lord Ridley to destroy this outpost in the House of Skyver. I have done what he asked of me.”Jarvax muttered something “You, a hero did something evil? Huh, that’s interesting to hear. Lord Ridley might have some gander of use for you."

Dark growled, “Jak’s an anti-hero, I’m not.” Don’t mistake me for him! ”Jarvax eyed Dark through the holoscreen. “Well, if you are different than Jak, you sure prove your point as someone with power. But what will you sacrifice to keep that power?”Dark growled, “Stop messing with me!”Jarvax taunted once again “No power serum if you don’t keep that anger problem under check.”Dark growled and stopped clear in his tracks. Was this Ridley watching him? How did he know he needed that serum to keep control over Jak himself? Jarvax frowned “We have our ways of finding out simple enough.”

The Darkened eco-warrior still admittedly liked keeping the Seal of Mar close on him even though it was on Jak. Dark bit his tongue and frowned, trying to look imposing in front of the second of command even though his fist was squeezed behind his back. This group knew a lot more about the eco-warrior than once thought and if they knew more about the eco-warrior, then they could point out his weaknesses within.

The dark king knew he needed this power serum more than he wanted to admit but he knew he couldn't lose favor in front of Ridley and the others.

He needed it like a drug serum.

The Dark king for once felt like a donkey with a carrot being pulled above his head. Every time he tried to grab it, it was pulled away from him. Was this what his other “members” felt like?

Or in his own terms, “pulling candy from a baby that needed it.”

The dark beast bit his cheek. He needed that dark eco, any way he could get it would be nice.

“Easy, dark, calm down. He’s just proving his mettle here. Play along… It’s going to be ok.” A voice crawled into Jak’s head as the flamed out angel whispered to calm him down.

The dark elf humanoid paced around, waiting for a response that would probably never come. The dark man slung his sword over his shoulder and sighed, he should pass time watching the death games on his phone, give him a better view of those he’s supposedly “working with” or for over time.

He flipped the comm screen on, the screen splitting to show the Death game finals on. So far out of WYVERN members, he’d recalled seeing Flak and was seriously watching him to see what his other potential supervisor would be like. He sat in front of a rock and looked down at the screen, Trevor and Flak were some sort of “fusion” and he still didn’t understand the concept except that the fact Jak hosted him and light in his head.

He scrolled through da’s past and now to see who was in this budding faction. Someone named “Lilith”, a strange lust demon, maybe more. Dark silently passed judgement on the fellow demon wondering how’d she react to a new crew member.

The darkness kept flipping “Ridley, General Space Pirate Mercenary.” He was cautious of him so far, he heard rumors that Ridley was a fearsome leader overall. Leader of WYVRN.”

Dark stared at the cameras showing Flavor going after Zuperman who was even more possessed than he is now. Perhaps he was staring at someone almost like him, it was kind of scary.

He fingered the device watching those who were left. Did he really care if those in this faction won? Would they support him if he didn’t pull his weight?

So many questions on dark’s mind, so little answers yet still to be answered about certain planets work.

He closed his eyes. Dark remembered Jak pulling him through the Death games at one poinit, getting to top 5. How would he fare as a villain when people recognize him as a minor celebrity through the crossroads?

Dark gritted his teeth, roaring in the nothingness of the burnt outpost.

If he were Jak right now, he’d want to punch the ground in frustration and anger, but Dark didn’t feel those same emotions brewing in him. Instead, he felt just inner rage and anger.

The desert finally started to turn from day to night, and the sweltering heat began to cool down, along with the raging sandstorms that threatened to run over the dark beast from his task at hand. Sticky blood covered the dark king’s hand, blood dripping down the man’s hand as he licked it to prevent any trails.

The dark beast smelled directly of eco, sand and dust along with the usual scent of blood coming off the demon king’s body.

The beast made sure his tracks were well covered by the desert's sandstorms.

Dark finally made his way toward the ruins of the outpost and ate some of the food he had stored from the last time Jak was around and his annoying bud, Daxter was around.

He stopped. The rat. He could become a real problem. A real throne on his side. He had left him alone to tell Jak’s faction mates in Erde. But the rat wouldn’t be smart enough to communicate with Victor and the others, right?

The ottsel turned human was left to his own devices as the ship took off as he cursed and yelled as he growled as the ship lifted off without him.

The once proud ottsel screamed aloud and he fended off tears off his eyes as he felt indescribable hurt as he saw his best friend turned dark leave for Mesa. How would he get to Mesa and tell those Jak trusted once before?

He gritted his teeth, there was no way he could warn Jak’s enemies now turned allies, but what would be that choice. Betray his friend and warn his allies that Jak wasn’t himself? Or protect himself and Jak by not warning allies before it was too late.

He had to do it, he had to tell his allies. What if Jak went after them again as Dark? He wouldn’t, right?

Dax shook and grabbed his comms system “This is a urgent alert to NB, this is Daxter, I’m throwing this out as a warning to you guys if you are hearing this: Jak’s not himself, be careful and on the lookout for a dark man who looks like he has horns jutting out his head, yellowish eyes and is a beastlike figure.

Once again, be on the lookout for Dark King, which his dark side calls himself.

The ottsel heard a voice pop out his comm.

"This is Lord Victor Wolfe, our guards have been notified and the staff manning our cameras have the description as a person of interest, as a favour we shall attempt to allow you time to fix this. However, should this Dark King cause harm to any of our citizens I am afraid I am going to have to mount his head, crown, and all on a spike in the town square, good luck furry one!"

Daxter bit his tongue; he knew this was going to happen. “DAMNIT” He screamed aloud, this was a mess he needed time to fix, how much time exactly, he didn’t know but hell if he is going to let his darkened friend ruin any chance of them succeeding here.

He gritted his teeth, somehow, he had to chase Dark with the little tools he had or risk his friend’s head being stuck on a spike in the middle of the corner. No way was he going to have that on his mind,

The ottsel squeezed his fists, why did Jak have to make this so damn hard on him too?

He wished Tess, Torn or Ashelin was here to kick some sense into the eco warrior before this got out of control. He wasn’t sure where Dark was exactly after he ran off.

Daxter sighed and changed back to an ottsel, running to Erde to find the nearest ship out of Erde before this got too nasty. Where exactly was the nearest shop or Space taxi exactly to be honest? Wait, SPACE TAXI! That’s it!”

The ottsel sighed and squeezed his nose and scuttered to the nearest shop, passing various bars along the way. “Hey, is a space taxi available? The ottsel would hitchhike his way through to get himself a space taxi!”

The ottsel strode through the streets, yelling aloud with his thumb up as taxis strode past his position in the streets “HEY! I need a quick ride to Mesa! I’m a da finalist ya’ know!” Just with that statement a loud screeching happened, and a taxi stopped “Uh, I heard you need a ride to Mesa, right pal?”

Daxter nodded “Yeah! Hold on I’m able to sign a picture for ya too if you want!”

The man said “Get in, pal. I’ll take ya to Mesa, hold on tight!”

Space was weird sometimes, black, no light passed it. Daxter stared out the window in awe staring at everything there was to take in as he hoped he was going to Mesa as the space taxi left Erde toward Mesa’s desert area.

The ottsel’s ears drooped as he waved goodbye to Fei and Beta as he said he’d see them again soon.

Daxter and the driver talked a bit, getting to know where they were going and all.

“So, what’s a da finalist doin’ here in my taxi?” The ottsel smirked “Me and my friend are looking for something particular in general.”

The man blinked and said “Oh. So, you are hunting for something? You like a bounty hunter or something, pal? Daxter blinked “No of course not, me and Jak are racers, heroes, and all.

Daxter blinks, so me and Jak… were heroes in our last world. We raced enemies in our last world, fought bad guys, and saved the world twice, even another place!

The guy was curious and raised an eyebrow “So this Jak guy, where is he and why isn’t he with you?”

That’s when the ottsel got nervous. “Uh, he went off on his own to do some things on his own accord.”

The Driver luckily didn’t poke into any more of the ottsel’s conversations deciding to ignore the man and go finish his driving.

Daxter muttered, shrugging off the driver, laying back in the seat, fingering his comms once again hoping to hell he still had jak’s number in it.

Even if he did contact it, he’d get a fizzed-out signal from the other phone, where dark wouldn’t usually report in to the ottsel.

The ottsel tried the number, yelling into it.

“Dark, Jak, whatever the hell you are! GET YOURSELF BACK TO NORMAL! RIGHT NOW!” “New Babylon has dark’s name on full alert there and will hunt you down if you hurt their citizens!” “PLEASE, JAK!”

Of course, the comms was silent, Dark hearing the screaming through Jak’s comms only to hear the annoying rat. Of course, he knew that annoying rat. Daxter must have been tracking Dark from the start and he must of alerted NB right away.

Dark knew he should have quieted the rat when he could. But Jak would strangle him otherwise. He would have the rat’s head soon enough if Jak didn’t interfere with his own problems first.

The Dark King sighed and carried the treasures back with him toward the ship needed along with various goods he had grabbed over time in the outpost. To the demon, killing the innocent was nothing new but to Jak, he panicked.

He hated some of the memories that passed his head. He really didn’t want to deal with a pissed off Victor or Gilgamesh in New Babylon again, after Daxter had attacked to protect him.

“GAH, get out of MY HEAD!” the Dark King muttered, as he moved through the sandy desert and his headache started again as Jak and the angel was crawling to get attention once again.

Jak was pissed inside his own head “You don’t get to decide what happens to Daxter, ONLY ME!”

The angel frowned “Leave the precursor alone! You’ll hurt yourself in the process. It’s Jak’s friend!”

For once the angel and Jak were beginning to progressively fight back against the dark beast in his head and they seemed to get stronger in the process.

“GAH, STUPID FOOLS!” You will not stop me!”

The angel grabbed Dark as it gave Jak some time to threaten his dark side from going any further.

“Touch me and you lose all you gained due to me.”

Dark growled “You’ll lose as soon as I get my–

Jak frowned “Your... what!”

The angel looked around “What? What are you needing?”

Dark was silent as he took control of Jak’s body again, his eyes turning to that of black and yellow. He grabbed his items and dragged them toward the ship Jak and his ottsel friend had gained in the process of coming here.
Dark frowned as he sat quietly inside the ship debating what to say and what to do in front of his new boss and otherwise.

He pressed a few buttons, searching for where the signal came from and just where the new Dreadnaught Ship was to be found.

Daxter was cautious, taking a handkerchief and wrapping it around his mouth. So many creatures wanted him as a snack yet he had to continue on if he was to find Jak in time before terrible things happened. “JAK!”
