Demetri is a Daring Outlaw:

Though he can be tactful, Demetri is at heart a daring man. He will throw himself in the midst of the action and rely on his wit and skill to carry himself the rest of the way.

Of course, he is also a criminal Outlaw. He is often found skulking about or taking up the next big heist and avoiding the law. Though eager to pilfer and pilage, he holds himself to a personal honor that ranks him more agreeable than most.

Demetri is able to step into shadows and become one with them. He is nearly undetectable while traveling in this form, moving silently so long as he stays in the shadows. Though it grants him great stealth and speed, it renders him vulnerable to light and other attacks. Light will stun him and force him out of this form, as well as losing focus on keeping himself in this state.

Demetri is able to cast a spell to see and hear through someone other than himself, losing his own in the process. It must be cast on a living target, that has the necessary sensory organs, though it can simply include himself. This ability can be recast from the target as well, jumping from person to person.

Demetri is able to create very convincing illusions that border on mimicking reality itself. A single target including himself that he can see, including himself, can be cast into a trance that replaces their perceived surroundings with the controlled illusion. Demetri must focus and micromanage these illusions along with subtle movements of his fingers, hands, and arms or else they will shimmer and break. While casting, he can still move and speak with relative ease. Demetri can only cast this on one person at a time, and the target is restricted to the size of his illusion level.

Demetri is able to quickly cast illusions spells that look and feel real. He can do this from a range if needed, and can create traps that can slow down pursuers using his illusion.

Demetri’s signature weapon is a fitted pair of bracers that includes a self repairing mechanism that shoots out a chain with a small blade at the end of it. The shape of the blade allows it to embed itself into softer materials, and the grip is strong enough to hold the average person. Demetri can use this to his advantage by pulling his opponent or grappling onto rooftops to give himself higher ground with ease. The chains are able to be disengaged at will, or if damaged which will cause them to retract and be unusable for a short period of time while the mechanism repairs itself.

Master Thief V(250):
Acrobatics: Whether it’s rooftops or alleyways, you need to know how to get around quicker than the local law enforcement, especially on foot.
Appraisal: You have to have an eye for what’s valuable in the world, keep your pockets full of copper and not lead.
Dexterity: Subtle movements that require a bit of finesse come easily to those that are accustomed to pickpocketing and lockpicking.
Subterfuge: Subtlety. Without it every job becomes two, first one is the heist, the second is the jailbreak. A thief must know how to do their job silently.
Silver-tongued: Sometimes you can just talk your way out of things. A sly and twisted lie or sugar coated compliment might get you on their good side, bribery without the hole in your pocket.

Swashbuckler V(250):
Brawling: You know what happens when you take a crew of sailors and shove them below deck with a barrel of rum? Lots of drunken brawls and cheering men. Hold up your fists or sober up in the brig.
Dueling: When ammo runs out, it’s time for steel and zeal! Catching your opponent off-guard with a swift strike of a bladed weapon will quickly take them out of the battle
Iron Gut: Speaking of drunken brawls, having your stomach cooperate with you when in any drinking contest or just enjoying a night out in port helps keep the party going. Keeps you off the bucket as well.
Gunslinger: Flintlock Pistols, Revolvers, Handguns or Hand Cannons, you always have a plentiful supply of small arms as a pirate captain, and you damn well know how to use them.
Parrying: Sometimes it’s better to deflect a strike than to make one. Bucklers or otherwise, being able to redirect an opponent's attack will work wonders of saving your skin and your strength.

Character History:

Demetri grew up as a Crossroads native in Arcadia, though through some terrible misfortune, ended up abandoning his home planet in pursuit of better opportunity. He found himself taking to sky and sea in Opealon, disguising himself as a dastardly pirate for an extended time, building a name for himself until he suddenly fell off the grid. It is rumored that he was betrayed by someone close to him, and only recently has word been coming around about his return in Mesa Roja. Though already claimed from his participation in the most recent Dante's Abyss, the man has a reputation for gathering bounties, especially for jailbreaks.
