Caustic is clinical. Detached, cold, almost never expressing genuine emotion. Everything he says and does is calculated for maximum effect and efficiency. Almost sociopathic, Caustic cares little for other's opinions of him or for intrapersonal relationships. All that matters is science, advancement, and death.
Caustic is an Opportunist. His Nox Gas is most readily used when stashed somewhere out of sight or around a corner, and the doctor is a master of turning a seemingly safe area into a fetid wasteland of choking corrosives.

Alexander Maxwell Nox was born to Arthur Rutherford Nox and Katerina Ticacek Nox on February 25, 2685. He worked as a research scientist for Humbert Labs on his homeworld Gaea, the Frontier's leading manufacturer of pesticide gases. With a glut of pesticides needed to protect the growing Frontier colonies’ crops, Humbert Labs was constantly on the hunt for better and stronger formulas. Nox was one of their brightest scientists and worked day and night developing new gases. But to make sure they worked, he needed to test them on more than just inert tissue: he needed something living.
As he toiled in secret, Nox began to see the beauty in his creations and their ability to destroy anything they touched. But the head of Humbert Labs, Dr. Franklin Humbert, soon discovered his gruesome experiments, and their confrontation ended with the lab in flames and its chief dead. Today, Nox is missing and presumed deceased, his supposed body found and identified by his mother, charred and beyond recognition. 10 years later, Caustic now finds new test subjects in the Apex Games, where he puts his gaseous creations to work and observes their effects with great interest.

Nox Gas Trap
Caustic is a pioneer in inhaled chemical agents and biotoxins, and has perfected his own special mix he has dubbed Nox Gas. In the Apex Games, the sight of the squat black and orange cylinders tucked into a corner or inflating behind your team was terror inducing. Now he's brought his toxins to the Crossroads. In their portable form, they are thick footwide disks of metal that the good doctor can throw up to 5 feet. The disk then rapidly inflates, filling a plastic bladder with Nox Gas. The gas is released when a small scanner on top detects proximity movement, and it induces tearing, coughing, and choking. Anyone caught in the gas will have a hard time moving out of it's range of effect.

Nox Custom (Wingman Heavy Pistol)
The Wingman loads heavy caliber bullets in a limited magazine that holds 5 shots, but the trade off is supreme accuracy and stopping power. The Wingman barely suffers from bullet drop, and is lethal to a fault to any target shot in the head with it. Caustic must concentrate to aim the Wingman for maximum effect, and being under heavy fire will spoil his aim.

Caustic can draw and fire this SMG rapidly, however trying to aim accurately at anything further than 10 feet away is a futile effort. Of course, a wide storm of lead is a sufficient deterrent for most people.

Additionally, Caustic has made himself immune to all manner of inhaled chemicals, due to his years of tampering and perfecting his own creations.
