Character Behavior
Fenix is a Fearless Warrior

Out of combat, Fenix's love for life and constant vigor pushes him to greater feats, but is tempered by centuries of training and understanding. To his friends, he is approachable, wise, comedic, but to his enemies he will be openly outspoken and condemning - not hesitant nor intimidatable. Fenix will do his best to show respect until the point he is pushed past disrespect himself, but will call out cowardice, malice or impatience as he sees it.

In combat, Fenix is the definition of a warrior - a proud, fearless praetor of the Protoss Star Empire, he leads from the front and relishes in a fair battle. though he does not condemn tricky behavior and is quite capable of strategizing, particularly to keep his fellow protoss safe, in personal combat he will do his best to seek a fair fight of martial skill and actively avoid deceit in combat. Should he be forced to, or the situation be dire enough, he will fight in a practical fashion, but when given a chance to honestly test himself as a warrior he will favor one-on-one combat, unless the monster be great, or the horde numerous.

Fenix is a tall protoss warrior, standing at a full nine feet tall, and sporting reptilian, grey skin. He resembles dimly a gray from ancient myths, but is far bulkier, sporting many pounds of muscle. he has what could be mistaken for dreadlocks falling behind him, tied into a pony-tail - these are his Nerve cords, his link to the Khala, and are far more durable and thick than simple hair. His muscled form sports long, black fingernails, long as daggers and sharp enough to kill a man, and his eyes glow with a smoky fire that embodies his psionic power and essence. he has no mouth or nose, as Protoss do not possess or need such things, and has cybernetic implants in his leg that are visible when un-armored. His legs are digitigrade and would not easily beat a human's foot. Protoss digits actually vary depending on the individual, but Fenix in particular has three fingers and one thumb.

Fenix normally wears a golden power-suit, one that hearkens back to the most gaudy and beautiful of old earth regalia, and with strange, beautiful metals that do not rust, corrode, or melt.

Character History:

Beginning, like all of the templar caste, as a simple zealot, Fenix attained the rank of Praetor at the unprecedently young age of four hundred and has served as a proud leader of his people - but that was years ago.

Fenix's battles and exploits took him across the galaxy, but his greatest battles took place on his home world of Aiur. after a power failure in his cybernetic suit left him open to a deadly attack by a vicious hydralisk, he was left to fight, crippled, in the shell of a Dragoon, stemming the tide and helping Tassadar and his friends push back the Zerg threat, and counter the backwards, ineffective conclave who's constant clinging to old hatreds left them incapable of focusing on the true threat that sought to consume them all.

After the Overmind was destroyed, Fenix stayed behind with the Terran hero, Jim Raynor, and immediately became fast friends, the human's wit and redneck charm quickly starting to infect the Protoss warrior, as the Praetor found himself enjoying the Terran's candid nature.

The battles that followed, against the new Overmind, and then the UED, had Fenix on the frontline, aiding the terrans and his kin in shaking off the oppressive rule of these new earthlings that had invaded the Koprulu sector - only to be betrayed by their own allies. Kerrigan, off the back of their greatest victory against the UED, stabbed her allies in the back, and Fenix was among those lost in the crossfire.

But a Fenix never truly dies, and he was raised within the crossroads moments later, fully healed of his wounds, a protoss warrior in his prime.

And while this change was mystifying, Fenix was not a man to question fortune or change - but one who took this as another opportunity to fight for honor and Justice in the world, before meeting his end in the Khala at last!

The Firstborn are considered the purity of form, physical and mental perfection, and have several advantages over normal beings, with a body built for survival nearly anywhere a basic level of habitability is allowed. Their bodies can withstand incredible temperature variation, their several hearts allow for a fantastic amount of redundancy and the ability to run for days on end, disease is incapable of touching their body, and they require only scant meditation rather than any sleep, being able to perform perfectly fine without a wink of shut-eye. As the Protoss absorb sunlight through their skin to survive, they do not consume food or drink, either.

While not bulletproof necessarily, the Protoss's skin is built like leather and their organs exceptionally durable to injury, leaving them difficult to harm. Between their prodigious strength - enough to manhandle a human in power armor like a child - and their deadly claws, even an unarmed and unarmored protoss could kill a score of humans with his bare hands alone. Fenix is no exception.

Fenix has a pair of large devices on each forearm known as Psi-blades. These emitters allow Fenix to channel his psychic power into beams of pure psi energy. These blades mostly ignore tensile strength, and allow them to cut through physical materials easily. even against more natural or mystical defenses, however, their users have their work cut out for them, with Fenix's raw power allowing him to carve through even the strongest defenses with time, patience, and repeated application.

Fenix's powered suit, a set of golden armor that gives him a regal look, and keeps his body safe from those few hazards even a protoss cannot withstand naturally.

Fenix's plasma-based defensive system, generated from a mix of his own psionic powers and advanced technology. Fenix's plasma shields flare to life as an automatic defense system against attacks from any angle, blocking attacks with a force field. as the emitter is currently suffering from some damage as a result of his journey here, it is mildly faulty, and far more easy to overwhelm with a large number of attacks or brute force, but protects the templar from a large amount of damage. Fenix may recharge this by focusing his psionic energies and re-powering the shield with a mixture of time and mental focus. as the battery is not used up when Fenix is not taking damage, it tends to always be switched on, and reacts even to attacks Fenix himself does not see coming.

Trained reflexes:

Fenix is a trained warrior, able to reflexively react absurdly quickly, and he moves with a fluid grace belied by his size. Fighting as a trained warrior for decades, his reflexes border on the pre-cognitive and allow him to react to attacks or situations before others would have even noticed an attack coming.
