Character Name: Fl4k

Character Behavior:
Fl4k is a Distant Hunter. They have a difficult time understanding and relating to others. While they will communicate, they may come off as aloof or disinterested. Fl4k finds themself more comfortable with wildlife than anything. Always on the hunt, Fl4k will relentlessly pursue their prey until they are caught. Or killed. There's a very good chance that Fl4k will kill them.

Fl4k is a robot clad in a heavy coat and other random pieces of clothing. Much of it is torn and damaged from the countless gun fights they have been involved in. Despite the bulk their clothes would seem to suggest, Fl4k's actual body is slim and looks skeletal in design. Parts of it are painted yellow with a single green 'eye' where one's face would be. They carry a large backpack filled with necessitates and the loot they have come across in their travels. Fl4k is never seen without some sort of creature at their side.
Character History:
Much of Fl4k's history is shrouded in mystery but from what is known is that they were originally an indexing unit for one called the Grand Archivist. One day, Fl4k suddenly gained a sentience (and a thirst for murder) and soon left their previous occupation. They would begin to travel the world in hunt of self-discovery. Across their travels, they would find that human culture was confusing. It was with the animals that populated their world that they would find comfort and solace. Their strange affinity for the wildlife would continue on as they would from then on never be seen without some sort of creature following along beside them.
Upon arriving on Pandora, whispers of the beastmaster would spread around. An unknown entity commanding the wildlife to do its bidding. Often times in a violent manner. Eventually, Fl4k would stumble a few other unique characters. While not fully accustomed to the idea of working in a team, the four of them proved to be a force to be reckoned with. The group would continue to travel across Pandora, watching each others back, collecting loot, and leaving a trail of bandit blood wherever they went. It was strange kind of family but it was one that Flk4 could work with.
The group would come across flyers for the Crimson Raiders. A group of adventurers that have teamed together to fight back against a duo known as the Twins. While others may have seen this as threat to everyone, Fl4k more enjoyed the idea of a challenge. They were soon welcomed aboard and took the fight to the stars. Quite literally.
Going planet to planet, vault to vault, the Crimsons Raiders would rage war against the Twins and their seemingly endless hoard of devoted followers.
It was a long and difficult battle but in the end, the duo was defeated. With the former leader, Lilith, MIA and the keys to Sanctuary and everyone inside left into the hands of a young siren, no one was sure where to go next. Grieving over the fallen, repairing settlements. It took time but things were looking up.
Word was spreading that a previous enemy known as the Maliwan Corporation was working on a new weapon of mass destruction. This simply would not do. Fl4k and his team of vault hunters entered a drop pod and were sent to the Maliwan Blacksite, Midnight's Cairn.
During the ride though, something went wrong.
Fl4k's systems came back online only to be greeted with the sight of an unknown planet. Minus the presence of their trusty skag, Fl4k's team/family was no where to be seen. Not being one to sit around, Fl4k picked themself up and ventured forward, eager to see what this new planet could offer. As Fl4k would say,
"The hunt never ends."

Fl4k is a robot therefore he does not suffer from many of the needs that an organic being would. No need for air, rest, food, or water. Immune to disease and their body does not follow traditional anatomy.

A Jakobs pistol that Fl4k can wield with ease. Fires as fast as one can fan the hammer. Holds 4 shots before needing to be reloaded. Takes a few seconds to do so.

A skag from Pandora that Fl4k has tamed. Loyal to Fl4k, it happily follows along on hunts and fights alongside them. Skags are similar to canines but much more monstrous looking. Rough rock-like scales cover their backs. The mouth has three jaws: left, right, and bottom. Teeth cover the outside of the mouth and when opened up it is rather horrifying to look at. They have long tongues that can be used like an arm. Clearly visible muscle lines the body. Fl4k's skag in particular has had its eyes replaced with robotic ones. They glow a bright neon green and are each surrounded by a plate of metal. It has also been dressed up with a red bandana around its neck along with a small backpack with attached bed roll.

The skag will attack its prey by either biting it or slashing at it with its claws.

Animal Taming Rank 4 (200) - Fl4k's uncanny connection to wildlife has transferred over to the Crossroads. While they are not familiar with the fauna of this world, they still retain their innate ability to bond with and command given proper time.
