Character Behavior
As a whole, the group of the Bat Men are a Coordinated Team. They work in well-trained and practiced sync, covering each other and not hesitating to swap out or trade places to take on tasks or opponents for each other, fighting equally well in unarmed melee, with their bats, ranged implements and with their unique ninja abilities. They work so well together, that with a simple gesture or few hand signs, can coordinate entire ideas and sentences silently. They compliment each other, shoring up weaknesses and bolstering strengths, and forming a surprisingly effective cohesive whole.

When pressed to act individually, however, they fall back on more traditional and singular tactics When on their own...

Captain Jose acts as a Wild Brawler. A straightforward and no-nonsense type, that leaps into and out of combat as needed. He doesn’t resort to any specific tricks or traps, and simply focuses on direct combat, fully capitalizing on his ninja-granted experience and mobility to outmaneuver and overwhelm single opponents, as well as to avoid getting pinned down by multiple ones, and deliver punishing blows at every opportunity presented. Not as fast as Ryno, not as slick and graceful as Straw, not as burly and strong as Roger, but he brings a diverse, balanced and extremely capable arsenal to the mix.

Twinbats Ryno acts as an Agile Flurry. He makes full use of a manic, constantly moving and agile darting hit-and-run style. Dashing in to deliver a blurred flurry of punches, kicks and strikes from his bats before swiftly dodging and retreating from a single target, or diving in bats swinging in a literal hurricane of smashing and smacking anything within reach against multiple foes. He may lack raw strength, but he makes up for it with pure speed and agility, flipping and dashing and dodging circles around most enemies while slowly wearing them down with relentless attacks.

Stick Straw acts as an Artful Player. He acts with the calm, cool and collected focus of an ace gambler; the slow, methodical and precise dexterity of a master pool shark; the pristine agility and coordination of a world-class dancer. He makes full use of his calm outlook and unnaturally long reach, poking and jabbing foes from distance while gracefully dancing and twisting around opponents. Treating it like a puzzle, or game, rather than combat; every move and maneuver is carefully planned out, and it might seem like he’s not taking it seriously until he suddenly breaks out an unexpected, devastating strike or ploy he had been building up to and leading his enemies right into. He lacks the raw power of Roger and the pure speed of Ryno, but his mind and long reach let him perform more than admirably against most foes all the same.

Roger Beanball acts as a Sturdy Bruiser. He makes full use of his immense bulk and raw power, simply wading right into the thick of things to deliver brutal beatdowns. He is a slow, ponderous thing in battle, his bulk and rotundity limiting his speed and agility...but like a glacier or a runaway truck, once he starts moving it’s hard to stop him, and he can swiftly lay down tremendous punishment even with his bare hands. He is not averse in the slightest to simply taking a hit from his opponents to deliver punishment in return, and he will fully exploit his sheer mass to pin down and grapple opponents so they can’t get away. He might not be the fastest or most mobile...but a wrecking ball doesn’t really need to be.

Physical Description:

Captain Jose, the leading man in red. Standing at approximately six feet in height, with exactly the kind of lean and well-built physique expected of an athlete-ninja. He possesses bright, piercingly clear and vibrant blue eyes which almost always show a calm, collected and focused expression.

Twinbats Ryno, the lad in green. The shortest of the group, at only about five foot five inches. He has a lean, scrappy and wiry physique that makes his attire seem a little overly large on him. Has the most obviously visible armor in his uniform, thanks to his scrappy and reckless method of flitting about. He has bright green eyes, usually flitting about and trying to take in every detail of everything all the time.

Stick Straw, the tall lanky fellow in blue. By far the tallest of the group, standing at around seven feet. Incredibly lean and slender, as if a normal man just got taller rather than larger overall. He has an unnatural, almost ‘sliding’ grace and dexterity to his entire demeanor and way of carrying himself. His eyes are a dull blue, and he seems perpetually bored or sleepy and about to doze off with his gaze usually half-lidded.

Roger Beanball, the burly titan in yellow. Standing at a more ‘average’ height of about five foot nine, Roger is extremely...robust. Much of it is his armor rather than his actual physical bulk, but it’s almost as if he inherited all the girth and broadness Straw gave up to get so tall. He has unusually massive hands, nearly the size of a catcher’s mitt compared to a normal person. His eyes are a deep red in color, and he seems to have a nigh-unblinking gaze.

Character History:

The Ninja Baseball Bat Men are a renowned organization that stand for the honor and glory of all things baseball. They are a combination of sports team, ninja squadron, detective agency and general mercs for hire. They have done phenomenal work cleaning up and keeping the peace in their local area, and the Commissioner of Baseball has them on speed dial to help with any nefarious baseball-related crimes, antics, shenanigans or other assorted troubles.

Recently, they have become more active in matters and affairs off the field than ever, ramping up their efforts to keep the peace and sanctity of the world, and even begun to set their sights on expanding their work off-world, to further help everyone in need, and not just their immediate area.

Captain Jose, as the leading man and ‘Star Player’ of the group, is a well-rounded figure. He’s tough as nails and agile as a star athlete, can really cover ground when he needs to and make some astounding leaps and flips through the air. His grace and coordination is such he can even run up or along walls to further augment his mobility.

Twinbats Ryno is the hyper-mobile and agile speedster of the group. He can cover ground like nobody’s business and move around in a constant spree of flips, twirls, twists and dives to dodge and dart around things in a green blur.

Stick Straw is the tall, lanky fellah of the group. He constantly seems sleepy or bored, and seems to constantly slide and lean into his movements like a dancer or pool shark. He’s no less agile or mobile than his teammates, but has an unnatural grace and way of moving that seems like less effort and skill than it actually is.

Roger Beanball is the toughest and burliest member of the crew. He’s also the largest, and his sheer bulk reduces his overall mobility compared to the others, only able to make short dashes and bursts of speed. But he can manhandle and move things around like no one’s business, and makes up for his comparative sluggishness with sheer determination and brute force.
