Ichigo is a stubborn reaper. From a young age, he has been able to perceive the 'Supernatural' for reasons completely unknown to him. As a child, his Mother was the centre of his world and brought pride and joy into the life of him and his family. Originally he was a crybaby who always used to smile whilst around her and vowed to become strong enough to protect her due to his Father telling him that his name meant to 'Protect one thing'.
His personality drastically changed after her death, he blames himself for it and vows to protect his two younger Sisters. He is a stubborn, hot-headed, strong-willed and impulsive delinquent who claims not to care about what others think or people he doesn't know. And yet, he will still risk his life to protect them without hesitation if they get into trouble right in front of him. Of course, it goes without saying that if the lives of those he cares about are at risk he will risk life and limb to save them. Despite this, he can be extremely kind if he wants to be, especially to Children. When he says that he will do something he usually doesn't go back on his word.
In battle, Ichigo usually holds a sense of honour and prefers to fight fair whenever possible. His moves are usually based on instinct rather than actual skill and he is a strong believer in 'an eye for an eye'. Often aiming to get revenge, instilling fear or belittling particularly cruel opponents. Overall, he has a strong determination to win and keep standing no matter what even if it means he will get hurt doing so.

Ichigo appears to be in his mid-teens. He is rather tall, standing at 5'8 feet tall and possesses a lean but also rather athletic build. He has peach skin and brown eyes. Usually, he prefers to wear slim-fitting clothes. His face is almost always locked in a permanent scowl only rarely changing depending on what's happening around him. His most distinguishing feature is his spiky orange hair which he has been bullied for to no end all his life and will often get offended if someone makes fun of its color.
In combat, he wears a basic black Shihakushō with a leather strap worn over it which holds the massive sheath on his back in place. On his feet, he sports two white socks and tan coloured geta sandals. He is usually seen wielding an oversized sword twice the size of a human man in the style of a traditional Katana.

Ichigo was born in the nation of Japan within Karakura Town to both Masaki Kurosaki (A Pureblooded Quincy.) And Isshin Kurosaki (A Former Captain of the Gotei 13. The circumstances of his birth are rather unusual due to the fact that due to an 'Attack' his Mother suffered from a powerful artificial hollow known as 'White' which merged with her soul. Despite being a Quincy she miraculously survived due to the help of the mysterious shop owner Kisuke Urahara and her future husband Isshin's sacrifice. Upon his birth, the Hollow that had entered Misaki's soul merged with Ichigo's then dormant Zanpakutō Spirit. Thus, essentially making him the perfect hybrid of three different races: Hollow, Shinigami, and Quincy. Of course, all of this is unknown to the boy himself even to this day.
He grew up like any other child despite his birth and was blessed with a kind and loving family eventually even lucky enough to become the Elder Brother of two siblings; Karin and Yuzu. Their Mother was the centre of her children's entire world including Ichigo.
Due to his heritage, he has been able to perceive spirits for as long as he can remember and regularly interacted with them. However, this would ultimately lead to tragedy as one day when coming home from Karate Practice with his Mother under the heavy rain he spotted the lure of Grand Fisher a powerful Hollow that was trying to attract any spiritually aware beings. The lure seemed as if it was about to leap into the running rapids of the river and plummet to its death. Ichigo ran after them in an attempt to stop them despite Masaki's pleas for him not to.
This ultimately led to His Mother leaping in the way and sacrificing her life for Ichigo. Something which has shaped his entire life ever since. He blames himself for his mother's death and has since developed a strong-willed, stubborn and delinquent-like exterior devoted to protecting those he cares about. During this time period he used to often skip school to go searching for his deceased Mother from day until night down at the riverbank where she had departed.
After that, life was relatively normal. He attended school, studied hard, and made friends like any other teen his age. Although, he was prone to often getting into fights.
At least that was until he and his family were targetted by a Hollow due to their strong spiritual energy and met the Mysterious Soul Reaper Rukia Kuchiki who became critically injured whilst saving Ichigo from a fatal injury and unable to fight the beast. And so, with both his relatives and his own life at risk gave him an ultimatum; Either die here or plunge her blade into his chest and become a Soul Reaper. He chose the latter.
But... Something unexpected happened. The moment he plunged the blade into his chest and became a Shinigami he has found himself in another world?!
