Rin Satsuki is a rather short (5'4") girl with a fit build and a not very fit brain. For a supposedly dragon-faced divine beast, Rin sure doesn't show it on her, er, face. Instead, it's actually kinda soft, making her look about in her mid-20s. This is, of course, an unintentional deception. Though young for a Kirin, she is older than she'd like to say. Looking at her, one might not realize she's a Kirin, save for the footprints, or lack thereof, she leaves on the flora she walks on, and the faint scent of cherry blossoms about her. She keeps her wavy hair, a glorious golden hue, tied into a ponytail with a large red ribbon and cherry-shaped pins. Though she may call herself a nurse (she's not), her outfit is anything but, looking much more like a knock-off miko's outfit. Which she also is not. At least the erhu she carries around isn't for show. Surprisingly, she actually plays it well.
Character History:
Ignored. Forgotten. A nobody. An unremarkable Kirin and a careless nurse, Rin Satsuki was often pushed to the side. Shunned by the Kirin for frequently breaking their code, and avoided by others for her medical malpractice, Rin often found herself with no one to turn to.
Yet, to the youngish beast, this wouldn't break her unyielding spirit. Eager to make a name for herself, to be known as more than an unimpressive Youkai and a middling medical practitioner, she frequently threw herself into trouble at the slightest hint of an incident. Though she might be headstrong and a daredevil, she still found herself soundly beaten, lacking the strength to carry her through. Forgotten before it even began.
But, what she lacks in power (and brains), she makes up for in sheer stupid determination. Nothing will get her down, no matter how she loses, no matter what strange new world she just became part of. She sees yet another opportunity to be recognized. To be respected. Maybe, just maybe, this time will be different.

With a flourish, Rin scatters flower petal-like magical projectiles in an area around her. A basic shotgun blast of danmaku. While she has basic control over which direction the bullets go, the shape and scatter of them is wildly inconsistent and dependent on her movement. She tends to rely on this to fight given she’s basically always got her hands full with her instrument.

Unsurprisingly, it takes continuous concentration and both hands to play, leaving her unable to do other things simultaneously. She can't do this if she loses her erhu, and those who can't hear the song don't benefit.
