History (Are they native? Non-native?):

Born and raised in Arcadia on Erde Nona, Mickey began life as a humble street urchin, slumming it up in some of the poorer parts of the city with his friends. During this time, he made ends meet by working on a trade vessel, the Steamboat Willie, which ported goods into Arcadia from various of the surrounding smaller settlements.

His boss, however, was a ferocious, meanie-head maniac, and one day fired Mickey from his job on the boat, sending him back into a life of squalor just as things were beginning to look up. It was at this moment the mouse and his buddies were attacked by a group of masked bandits and saved by several of the royal crown’s musketeers. After being rescued, one of the musketeers gifted Mickey with his hat, and the mouse set out to join their esteemed company.

And join he did—as a janitor, and a bad one at that, often making messes instead of cleaning them up. His work didn’t really rise to the satisfaction of the captain of the musketeers, but nonetheless one day he finds himself accepted as a junior musketeer, serving as one of the personal guards to a minor Lady in Arcadia, Minnie Mouse. He and Minnie quickly hit it off, and after Mickey rescues her from abduction and discovers her abductor to be the current captain of the musketeers, Minnie pulls some strings and has Mickey officially inducted into the company of the Royal Musketeers (though he still sometimes gets put on cleanup duty).

For a time, he lives peacefully in this service, protecting the King and his interests (though rarely directly) and occasionally seeing Lady Minnie around town and shamelessly flirting with her. One day, Yen Sid, a hermetic wizard who lives in a tower far away from Arcadia, calls Mickey to his presence, and presents him with a Spellbook, informing him he’s chosen the mouse to pass on his magical skills to.

Mickey, confused by Yen Sid’s implicit trust, is subjected to a few tests which, contrary to his normal track record of success and the several examples of his lack of prowess whilst working to keep the wizard’s tower in tip top shape, he passes.

After the conclusion of his sojourn to the faraway tower, Mickey begins his trek back to Arcadia and back to the company of his pals—and his beloved Minnie Mouse—with something feeling slightly odd and different about him, but he can’t put his gloved finger on what it is…

I never fully checked over Mickey's stuff after everything was finished, so here's my respec of his starting moves looking for approval:

Fella, Mickey Mouse has been through it.

Born in the Disney Realms, Mickey's life began simply -- as a sailor on a steamboat on the Timeless River. He wasn't destined for a ho-hum existence, though, frequently rising up to protect the other workers from his evil boss, Pete, and eventually joining a group of disciplined warriors known as the Musketeers. It was during his tenure with the Musketeers that he met his lady love, Minnie, and his best friends Donald and Goofy. As their adventures progressed, Mickey's penchant for leadership became clearer, and eventually he was named King of the Disney Realms.

The life of a King, however, didn't exactly mesh with the inherent need the mouse had to always be adventuring, to always be working to discover more about his world and make it better. He went on frequent expeditions, leaving Minnie regent of the realms, until one such adventure landed him in a completely different universe. This universe was missing most of his friends (save Minnie, who somehow made it there with him) but was full of strange creatures of all shapes and sizes the likes of which the former King had never seen. Using his skills with magic and his training as a Keyblade wielder, Mickey worked tirelessly to try and get home, and then -- when that seemed like a lost cause -- to work for the betterment of the dark multiverse he'd been deposited into and was apparently trapped in.

Throughout his time in this place, Mickey tangled with many a bad dude, and at one point he and his new partner-in-crime, Blues -- or the Proto Man -- found themselves faced with a choice: save themselves and end up somewhere they were familiar with, or take a risk and try and save as many innocents as possible from an oncoming disaster. Being the universe's paragons of goodness, Mickey and Blues chose the latter, ripping a hole in the fabric of the universe and sending themselves into yet another dimension.

Where will they end up? Only time will tell...

You've done a good job with your application, no surprise there, but I've just got a few suggestions I'd like to make before approving this. Feel free to take 'em or leave 'em:

You've written your spent Essence twice, and the two numbers don't agree. I'm not gonna be nitpicky and refuse to approve a character for something like this when I'm perfectly capable of basic addition, so can count the costs of your Abilities myself, but I'd appreciate if you could list the correct figure and remove the incorrect one.

First off, it'd be best if you added "(Hearing)" after your Sense Effect. Just because we now split them up based on which Sense they affect.

Secondly, the format you're using to write your Abilities is the old one, which we've been discouraging use of because it's kinda ugly and unclear... and this Ability is a great example of why. You've had to add in brackets which Effect each of your Modifiers apply to, because otherwise it wouldn't have made sense.

The format we recommend these days is:

Name [total cost]
Effect rank (cost)
--Modifier (cost)

Which saves a lot of space and is clear and easy to understand once you're used to the style.
So your Mouse Traits Ability in this format would be:

Thirdly, it's worth noting that Sense does not have Ongoing by default, so as it's written currently, Mickey won't be able to listen to things which are far away for more than a few seconds at a time, no matter how hard he's concentrating. If you're fine with him having to stop listening for a second or so every few seconds, then re-start concentrating on hearing stuff, you can keep it as it is... though it seems a little odd for ears to work that way to me, so I'd suggest just spending the extra 100 Essence to tack on Ongoing, personally.

Ah! That first thing is literally just a copy/paste error. 1375 is the correct number.

Ahhh okay! I’ll change the format of them to the prettier one when I make my profile if that’s alright!

And I will go ahead and add Ongoing to Mouse Traits like you suggested, bringing my total spent to 1475.
