Okuyasu is impulsive, almost childish in how much he is ruled by his emotions. He is quick to anger and to attack, frequently rushing in with no regard to consequences. Additionally, he's not very smart as he himself would say, and frequently hamstrings himself strategically.
Okuyasu is also a brawler, a teen delinquent just as proficient in kicking ass as he is in using his stand.

Twelve years prior to Diamond is Unbreakable, the Nijimura family's matriarch died, leaving the father in depression. On top of that, Japan had been going through a tough time economically and the family soon fell into poverty. The father constantly abused his sons as a result.
Two years later, the patriarch started to receive letters with money and jewels. Much later in his life, his older son Keicho would realize his father had sold his soul and heart to Dio Brando, who, at that time, was scouring the globe for a Stand user capable of recreating reality.
Dio, however, distrusted the Nijimura patriarch and implanted a seed of his undead body within him. When Jotaro defeated Dio, and when his younger son Okuyasu was only 7, the seed burst, causing the father to slowly mutate into a monstrous form, and later lose his ability to speak. This form would automatically heal any wounds inflicted. Searching with his brother Keicho Nijimura for a way to kill their father and put him out of his misery, they started using the Bow and Arrow in possession of Keicho to find a user capable of killing him.
In their search for a Stand capable of killing their father, the Nijimura brothers end up shooting Koichi Hirose, giving him Echoes. This attracts Josuke Higashikata's attention and a fight ensues. Okuyasu, due to not being very bright, ends up causing his own defeat. After explaining his story, Keicho is killed by the Stand Red Hot Chili Pepper, who steals the Bow and Arrow. Okuyasu then joined Josuke to find the Stand user who killed his brother.

Okuyasu is no stranger to fistfights. He's strong and effective, but he favors the use of heavy haymakers and kicks. He leaves the agile punching to his Stand, which actually has the speed to make it effective.

Stand Users are themselves enhanced by the very virtue of having a Stand. When that Stand physically manifests, it can grant their user extra abilities in addition to its signature power. Okuyasu's Stand type (close range power) gives him enhanced vision and the ability to perform precise and quick movements when his Stand is summoned.

Okuyasu's stand is a quasi-ethereal being that has physics warping powers. It can manifest anywhere beside Okuyasu in a 1.7 meter radius, or it can manifest over him to allow him to use its ability directly. It can manifest almost in the blink of an eye, but is invisible to most normal humans and those lacking some form of extra sensory capability. The Hand is directly capable of fighting offensively or defensively in Okuyasu's stead, or in concert with him. The Hand uses a rapid and heavy fighting style, able to fistfight right alongside its user.
It's immune to certain things, such as being infected with a disease or infection based attack because it's physical form is only temporary. The Stand itself is also tough, being made of "soul energy" and in fact is heavily resistant against any type of mundane weaponry. Bullets, knives, or fire will bounce off harmlessly or pass through, but a "magic sword" or channeled energy would hurt the Stand, and by extension, Okuyasu.
Any damage that a Stand takes is reflected on the user, as well as physical effects. If The Hand is hit with an attack powerful enough to send it flying or to pin it down to the ground, Okuyasu will suffer the same effects. Conversely, Okuyasu can use this same attribute to grab things or objects with his Stand and be affected by them, such as grabbing onto a ledge while jumping or catching a ride on a moving vehicle.

Space Erasure (Harmful)
The Hand's signature ability is being able to "erase" things, deleting them from reality or cutting the space between objects, rejoining them as if the erased space never existed. Okuyasu himself says that the cut space disappears from the face of the Earth and it's impossible to recover. The range and the size of his erase move normally depends on Okuyasu's will but when he's attacking an opponent directly with this ability, huge chunks of whatever he swipes over go missing and he's incapable of erasing precisely. Once something is swept over, it's erased, regardless of if it's something that got in the way that Okuyasu didn't intend.
When used against a living target, space is not 'erased' so much as it is "disrupted". Enough consecutive erasures could easily completely wipe a target from existence, however it would take multiple hits over a very short period of time.
This ability can also be used to protect Okuyasu from Ranged attacks, be they weapons or energy blasts, by simply erasing the projectile as it approaches with The Hand's ability.

However, it will teleport both Okuyasu/a Target and any other small objects in their immediate vicinity, such as flowerpots or debris. There's no limit to how much or how often this ability can be used, as long as Okuyasu can move his arm to swipe.

Okuyasu takes advantage of the disorienting effect of being teleported by The Hand to land a knockout punch. After using Space Erasure (Teleport/Pull) on a foe, Okuyasu winds up and aims a mighty haymaker square at their jaw or jaw-analogue. This is usually enough to knock even the most aggressive foe off balance or even onto their ass.
Okuyasu can't just use this move on someone at-will, he has to have teleported them to him first to take advantage of their momentary confusion to land the hit. Additionally, if the opponent can see The Hand, they can try to prepare against the sneak attack by coordinating its movement with the teleport.
Special: This move can specifically be enhanced with Focus use, and turns into a multi hit combo where Okuyasu continually repeats the teleport/punch move up to four times. This could also have the effect of dizzying an enemy.

Lil' Bastard Combat Vest
Okuyasu decided to invest in some more reliable protection than just The Hand and bought this Syntech combat vest from a catalog that showed up at his house. He wears it under his uniform to provide personal protection aside from his Stand.
The vest itself is colored gray, with mesh webbing and flexible fasteners. The many pockets are filled with lightweight ceramic inserts that shatter on impact, displacing force from attacks and lessening their injury potential. There's a winking chibi head of Karl Jak on the back, although Okuyasu didn't notice it.

The arrow is supremely lethal, capable of killing a target even if hit in a nonvital area. It infects the victim with the Stand virus, which either kills them or gives them a Stand power.
Anyone shot by the arrow will take heavy damage and be overcome with a crippling weakness as their body fights or rejects the Stand virus.
