There are some experiences only a select few have the chance to have. The kind that come once in a lifetime. Without realizing, Paige Turner had just gone through her second such event.

There she was, wherever she was, 18 years old or so with all the time in the world to plan out the coming weeks, months, and years. But this time, it wasn't where she was supposed to be. She'd found herself in a futuristic city, built upon an island hovering high above the clouds. She'd found herself in an entirely new world: the Crossroads.

Paige arrived to this universe without warning, without concern, without care. Distant and punchy, yet more skilled than meets the eye, her capabilities are as bizarre as her past. Brought into a world of untold potential, rife with life, conflict, and consequence, the unusual life she once knew has fallen to the wayside.

How will Paige fair in this new world? Only time will tell. After all...

Character Behavior:
Paige is a Chaotic Orchestrator.

In battle, Paige is an unnaturally strong fighter who uses her prowess to manipulate the scene of battle. She keeps tabs on the whole battlefield, constantly seeking opportunities to exploit her opponents or to achieve her own ends. She has experience wielding a wide variety of weapons, can adapt to changing circumstances on the fly, and keeps close- and long-range options at hands whenever possible.

Overall, it's difficult to get a read on Paige's behavior. Patently contradictory and always on the move, she's many things all at once. Apathetic, yet assertive. Well-intentioned, yet malicious. Engaging, yet somehow distant. When you think she's just gonna sit still, she's off causing havoc in down town. And when you expect her to act out, that's when she decides she doesn't really care to. Different people can hold very different interactions with her, but the one thing they all agree on is that she doesn't make much sense at a glance.


But there is a method to her madness.


At her core, Paige is a mellow explorer. She enjoys exploring, meeting new people, trying new things, and pushing buttons to see what happens. She cracks jokes and makes light of situations out of pure instinct, and typically only gets excited in short bursts.


Despite her curiosity, she's very much dissociated from the world she's in. She interacts with it like she's viewing it from third person, and is prone to poking and prodding at it to cause a reaction. Her emotions are heavily muted and diminished. Besides a tendency toward annoyance, very little gets her riled up in a good or bad way.


She's particularly unhinged, with a flippant concern regarding her possible death. She's willing and eager to make mistakes, and will do just about anything if she has a decent reason for it. She has a penchant for fighting, and the adrenaline which trickles through her is about the only thing that consistently gets her heart-rate up these days.


Paige has a sadistic streak that she struggles to keep under control. Her dissociation makes it hard to connect with people, and she frequently sees them less as "people" and more like "things". As such, she's prone to instinctively performing abuses to other characters, and struggles to really care about the impact of her actions. This is typically directed at pricks and assholes, but it can happen toward anyone if she gets upset enough.

Beneath all her strange behaviors belies an unknown history. In particular, she seems drawn to a book she keeps on her at all times. She claims it's for practicing her signature, and can be seen putting new signatures into it from time to time.
