It's funny. You know, there are some experiences that come once in a lifetime. The kind so dramatic, you'll never experience something so bizarre again. But here I am. Going through it a second time.

I was just kickin' back, as would any 18 year old- give or take. But instead of waking up in my bed, I'm on some floating island high above the sea, and there's a high-tech city up ahead.

Honestly, I wish I were more excited. It's a cool place I found myself in. Haven't seen something this wild in a while. But what does it matter? Nothing's on my level anymore. It'll get boring eventually, like it always does. Nothing ever changes, in the end.

Whatever. I'm not gonna turn down an alternate reality. It'll be fun, for a while. Maybe I'll take the old man's advice, and see it through until my body fails? I got all the time in the world, after all.

I look about like this these days. Same orange hoodie. Same blue jeans. Same ball cap. Same book.

For future reference, I'd say I'm a Chaotic Orchestrator.

People can't beat me down if they tried. I like to keep track of the battlefield, and focus on a lot of moving parts at any given time. Got a lot of experience by now. It is not too difficult for me to adapt, and I try to keep melee and ranged options open at all times.

People always seem thrown off by my attitude. They don't get it. That's fine by me though, but I should at least give myself a frame of reference.

I don't really care about that much, I guess. As mellow as I've always been. I engage with the world around me as best I can, have fun and all. I try to get excited about stuff. It all feels so distant, though. Sometimes, the only way for me to feel like I'm part of the world I'm in is to mess with it a bit.

Still don't care about dying, it doesn't mean anything. Fighting's still my go to, to feel alive. Adrenaline, and all.

I'm kinda tired of it all, honestly. But it's not like I can do much about it. I just wish I could see people as people again. But they all go back to how they used to be, in the end. At least my apathy helps me make the wretched ones suffer, as they deserve.

Gotta remember to do these check-ups, lest I forget. Again. Painfully.

Let's take stock of my bats. I'll use a similar system to the one I use for my skills, so I can gauge their potential.

Now, for my yo-yos.

Ready to kick some ass.

I still try to keep up with yo-yo battles, even now. Got me a 10 foot string, and it's not tied at the axle either. I can wrap it around my finger to vary the length for tricks, and then send it flying at whoever I'm fighting.

It's a pretty weak weapon, unlike others I've used. Obviously. Could you imagine casually fighting in the street with a legitimate weapon?

It's still useful for restraining opponents. I can hold them in place, trip them up, or tie them to something. Also useful as a makeshift grappling hook, as long as I can get it caught on something. Long poles, hooks, or even someone just grabbing onto it.

I do have to concentrate when I'm doing tricks. As long as I'm in the groove, and have the hands for it, I can do something else at the same time. But if someone breaks my focus, the trick I was doing will be ruined.

DON'T FORGET TO REPLACE THE STRING. It's good for several fights, but tying up the competition with it wears it out faster. I should remember to bring string with me, whenever I go out.

I always did like a nice revolver.

Never leave home without it.

It's my favorite. A six-shot revolver, with a polished silver barrel and a mahogany handle shined to a T. It packs a punch, too.

The chamber takes time to pop out and empty. I can reload a single bullet in one second, or all six in three.

Flip phones are too satisfying to trade them out for the bricks that'd get popular in the future, so I opted to modify one where both screens are touch interfaces. Has most phone features. Calling, texting, apps, internet, the whole shebang.

Having arrived late, his quoted reason for entering was to be "fodder for the slaughter." Started with mere taco bell sauce, before finding unlikely companions in the clumsy gungan Jar Jar Binks, and the meticulous leader John Connor. The bell tolled for Chron after a bizarre run in with a strange typewriter, and a ruthless 5v1 versus the fused monstrosity of Gilgamesh and Erik Vrell.​
