My daily vote for the site is my one thread of hope, and my promise to myself, that one day(tm) I will come back and write with all of you again.

I came to the Omniverse back when I was a teenager. I played a silly little goober named "Jams Bolero", back then. I remember having silly fun, being active in the chatbox, and getting yelled at by Daniel for not checking if Tsunade was okay to use before bringing her into my own thread. I fell out of writing, due to a long quest thread that I got tired of, so eventually I just kinda disappeared. But I kept in touch with a couple people, thanks to Jade's old OSBURB event, and we kept RPing on Discord for a good time after leaving.

When I was in college, Sallad (Sans) told me the Omniverse was gone, and then told me about Multerra, so I hopped on and started playing Paige Turner here, as a PC! We had a thread set in Arcadia High, along with Touko Fukawa (played by Mima), and we were gonna have someone else in the thread too. Then I, er... fell out of writing, due to a long thread that I got tired of. Whoops!

I went back to the ReOmniverse with my friends, as one of them thought the more straight-forward worlds (namely the Pale Moors) were conducive to our characters, and continued Paige there. We played there for a couple years, and I'm extremely proud of the story we got to tell there. But it just wasn't active enough to stick around, as it closed down right when our personal storyline was getting good. So I came back here with Shulk, and decided to bring Paige back so I can give the story I had in mind with her another shot.

I met two of my best friends in the world, through these forums. We've had so much fun plotting out our character's stories, RPing in Discord chats and turning those into posts, and surprising one another with the best of our posts time and time again. It's given me an outlet to hone my storytelling skills, and to really push the boundaries of what I can do. I've had a tumultuous past few years, and these forums have helped keep me going through the hard times in ways even I don't always recognize. I've grown as a person thanks to the people I've met on this forum, and that is something worth cherishing for the rest of my life.

So happy holidays! Thank you all for everything you do. Thank you for contributing to the site how you can and keeping it active. I look forward to bringing my own contributions to this weird, wonderful world we call the Crossroads.

@Nico Cinder Dude, you were my first friend on these types of roleplay forums. I was so thankful when you reached out to me on the OV. I was essentially friendless, sad, and searching for anything to take my mind off the crushing loneliness of my moody teenager existence, but didn't have the guts to speak up in the chatbox. I was soooo socially anxious that words on a screen terrified me.

You reaching out to me over our mutual like-itude of Homestuck really helped me break out of my shell. I'll always treasure our extensive back and forth PMs on the site, and although we don't always talk, I always love hearing from you. You're also a SUPERB writer, you write truly some of the best, most consistent characterization I've seen on the site.

@Demetri Malius You know, just like how Nico was one of my first friends on the old website, you were too. And I gotta say, I'll never forget how funny and kind you were to me from the very start.

Our messages back and forth meant a lot to me, and playing video games with you was an absolute blast. You were always so patient and understanding with my lack of microphone because of my living situation, and it created some crazy moments haha. And I could NEVER forget those insanely hysterical moments we had while playing ARK, and all the screaming in panic as you were devoured by various prehistoric reptiles.

You were the first person I interacted with upon attempting to join the old website, and I appreciated your patience and understanding when I was trying to learn a new system. You were always the best of us, for real, and I appreciate all the guidance you provided when I joined the old staff team and was getting into the swing of things.

@Karl Jak @Hela To be honest, I never thought I'd still be hanging around this type of writing forum after all these years... it's crazy. You used to intimidate me when I was just a teenager on the OV, but I was ecstatic when you invited me to join the old staff team! I remember sitting in class like "why is Alex messaging me?! This is so cool!!!!" and you were just cool as a cucumber about it, lol. Felt like I was getting a job offer.

Your storytelling skills have always been top-notch and your skill inspired me to pursue writing as more than just a hobby, but something to dedicate my educational career and life to. I recognized it as a real art form because of you. You've always been the heart and soul of these sites, putting in so much effort to make them inclusive and enjoyable for everyone, and your effort to build lore and host site events has always been way appreciated. I'll always hurl myself into your site events with my full effort!

Sometimes it feels like we're your classroom full of kids and you gotta lay down the law, but you always have our backs. Wishing you and your loved ones nothing but the best, Axle, Alxe, Axel.

But more importantly, I've always deeply admired your dedication to helping out members with their technical issues and your willingness to help out with anything site-related. You're like a superhero with a magical Thor's hammer who smacks the site and makes it work again.

Seriously, it's like magic. And dude, you're just all around awesome. Not only are you a master at solving website problems, but you also write the most bomb-ass science fiction scenes ever. Your concept of Cevanti's everything is mind-blowing and you really went all out in building it, I really envy your ability to write in settings like that because I STRUGGLEEEE.

Your creativity knows no bounds and it's always a joy to read your writing. Keep being amazing, my friend!

@Sigmund Vrell I want to say that I truly regret not getting to know you better before 2020, because damn, we have such a great vibe. Your presence in my life has been an unexpected blessing and I appreciate how you always make time for me and my incessant whinging, complaining, and anxious ramblings.

It means so much to have a friend like you who will stay up late or wake up early just to chat with me and plot out our threads, and I'll always be willing to do the same for you. You've become like a brother to me and I am thankful beyond words for our friendship.

And let's not forget about your amazing sense of humor! Seriously, you are one of the funniest, most clever people I know. Your characters never fail to bring a smile to my face and your quick wit always has me smiling at my phone like a freakin' idiot. One day, I swear, I'll visit you in Australia and we'll go check out whatever awesome zoo you're working at by then. Hopefully it has red pandas.

@Elise @Kopaka You know, you're one of the many people who have had a huge impact on my love for writing. Your threads and characters have always blown me away with their rich vocabulary, excellent diction, and well-developed personalities. You truly have a knack for creating an immersive and vivid scene, and your plots are always soooo thrilling and interesting; once I've started reading one of your threads, I can't put it down.

I'll never forget the first time on the old website when you nominated me for some kind of community accolade, maybe rising star, I can't really remember. But what stuck with me was not the recognition itself, but the fact that someone as talented and amazing as you took the time to acknowledge and comment on my writing, because to me, you seemed as skilled at writing as a professional, published author. Felt like getting the Nobel Prize in Literature. It was a moment that seriously boosted my then non-existent confidence and motivated me to become more involved in the community and continue honing my wordsmithery.

And every time we've written together in threads, it has been an absolute pleasure. Our dynamic as Arthur and Kopaka was simply fantastic, I think those posts will stick in my brain forever.

Thank you for being such an inspiration and for pushing me to be a better person, writer, and creator.

You have always been kind and supportive, even during the tough times in my life. Your thoughtful feedback on everything from my writing to my relationships means everything to me!

And, well, there's your writing skill, of course. I don't even need to mention it, but I will. The way you craft intricate lore and flesh out your characters with such depth and thought is truly spectacular. It's evident that each character has a unique history that has shaped who they are, and it's simply captivating.

@Ridley Writing with you in our old Mesa Roja thread was an absolute highlight for me. Despite the challenges and adjustments that came with transitioning to a new writing site, and how we kind of dragged along after the absolute sadfest that was, our collaboration on that still brought me great joy and satisfaction. Thank you for being so understanding and patient with me during that time, and for always being willing to give constructive feedback on your character's behaviors and dialogue.

And working together in Conquest? Oh, it was simply the bomb dot com. Your level-headedness and readiness to lend a helping hand has always been something I admire about you, and I am truly grateful for your presence.

@Aster I just had to take a moment to express my admiration for you as a writer and event organizer. Seriously, your inventiveness and ability to keep us all on the edge of our seats during your events is off the charts. Win or lose, end up in pieces or survive by the skin of my teeth, it's always a freaking blast participating in your events. And let me tell you, I make sure to sign up for every single one because they are just THAT epic.

But it's not just about the fun I have in the events. You are such an important member of our community for all the hard work and dedication you put into providing entertainment for us through these events. After running my own, I don't have to imagine the amount of time and effort it takes to plan and execute these events, but you make it seem effortless. And that's something I truly admire.

I also love many of the characters you've written, but I've already extensively sang your praises on that front before, so I won't do it here. xD

I also have to give props to your skills as a DM during our weekly Roll20 sessions. Your ability to create unique and engaging characters for us to interact with really sets the bar high. Seriously, no one else compares to you when it comes to dialogue and body language, and when you say you didn't have anything planned beforehand, that blows my mind lol. It makes roleplaying so much more fun and immersive.

I also really appreciate how you take the time to read my work and make encouraging or funny comments, even when you're not actively writing on the site. You're like a mainstay in this community, always present and reliable! Remember those early days of quarantine when we would watch videos together in the morning... or maybe it was night for you? That was such a fun and comforting routine during such sad, uncertain times. And thanks for being patient with me when I fumbled with my microphone, I know I can be shy about speaking up sometimes lol.

Dude, seriously, I am blown away by how insanely awesome you are at immersing yourself in the lore of each world we write in, here or the old place. Your dedication and effort to fleshing out every little detail, not to mention your creative command over language (yeah im gettin fancy with my words), is mind-boggling and I love it!

I also seriously appreciate how your introduced me to some of your author inspirations for writing, because they really influenced how I adapted my own style moving forward.

Writing with you has always been a joy for me and I am beyond ecstatic that we get to do it again, because it was SO sad we didn't get to finish our last thread before things went sideways. Seriously, this is like the highlight of my life right now. Can't wait to see what we can come up with next!

I always love hearing from you and reading your stories. Your characters have such crazily entertaining mannerisms and their personalities for real LEAP off the page. It's truly a gift to be able to write with such color and emotion, your Aku stuff was a treasure.

And let's not forget the time(s?) you gave me car advice, even though you didn't have to. That just shows how superb and genuinely caring you are as a person. You're not only knowledgeable but also helpful, and that's something rare to find these days!

I think we have become real friends over the last few years, especially since we started collaborating in events together (mad props to our resident event runners, Alex and Aiden, for making this possible). Your friendship means everything to me, and I truly cherish it.

You have been there for me through some of life's regular ups and downs already, from health issues to relationship troubles to crafting beautiful prose, and your sage advice has always been appreciated. It's like you're this wizened, mad busy village elder and--
