Samus can best be described as an Adaptable Veteran.
She is no stranger to having to improvise and adapt in rough situations, and is not above doing almost anything necessary. She will make use of new technology or means, and forge contacts (though 'friends' is a bit less easy to come by) to help herself, and them, get through tough spots.
At the same time, she is a skilled and unshakable veteran soldier. Training both with the Chozo and later the Galactic Federation has instilled in her a hardened discipline and resolve, and she will not hesitate to use any amount of overwhelming force and everything in her arsenal to put down a problem once she has encountered it, and remain unflinching to any and all opposition.
Physical Description:
Samus is a human female from the depths of space. Her hair is blonde, usually tied back into a high ponytail which reaches just past her shoulders. Her eyes are a dark blue, though with an almost luminescent green tinge. She sports an incredibly athletic, lithe and toned figure, with a slim but well-developed and defined musculature. Traditionally she dons her Power Suit or the Zero Suit underneath it, but she remains a dangerous threat without either..
Character History:
Samus Aran was born on the Earth colony of K-2L. At roughly the age of three terror struck, in the form of a Space Pirate attack lead by Ridley. How Samus survived this attack is unclear, though mostly attributed to simple 'luck', but she was found and taken in by the Chozo.
For the next decade she was trained and mentored in ways that would be considered harsh and grueling by some, but the combination of the training (done on harsh and normally inhospitable worlds such as Zebes, the Chozo homeworld) and infusions of Chozo DNA, molded Samus into a superb and nearly superhuman physical specimen, along with granting her a remarkable aptitude for all manner of weaponry and combat forms.
She moved on, and for a short time took up service with the Galactic Federation before becoming a bounty hunter. She would take on jobs which spanned the stars, constantly putting her at odds with the threat of the Space Pirates, which she defeated every time.
She would at times literally do the impossible, singlehandedly destroying entire Space Pirate bases and centers of operations. It was not without its risks or dangers, leaving more than one planet unfortunately shattered in her wake due to the events of her missions, but the end results were always nebulously positive.
She survived the conflict against Phazon, and managed to thwart the usage of Metroids as bio-weapons by the Space Pirates, put a stop to the incidents aboard the Bottle Ship and the near-resurrection (or re-creation) of Ridley, Mother Brain and many other horrid foes, and even managed to survive a run-in with the X Parasites and wipe them out of the galaxy.
Her trials were said to be just beginning, back home. But maybe...just maybe...they would just be beginning somewhere else, too.

She is extremely coordinated and graceful with exceptional reflexes, can exert herself and perform physically well for extended periods without tiring, can survive in atmospheres and conditions lethal or otherwise inhospitable to humans, withstand falls of surprising (and at times, improbably) heights without issue, easily maintain running speed most would struggle to reach at a sprint, make astounding leaps and jumps, and strike with immense enough force to make even her bare hands dangerous weapons.
