Character Behavior:
Tanya Degurechaff can be summed up as an Efficient Soldier.
While at her core she is motivated by self-interest and personal gain, she takes great pains to carefully deliberate over and calculate the best means to get there, turning everything into a scenario in which every action, item and person has a cost and seeking the greatest value. She is not averse to sacrificing anything, up to and including her allies and even her own dignity to get what she wants.
She is also, however, an almost unnervingly pragmatic soldier. While she may have a plethora of objections internally, she will follow orders smartly and to the letter, performing the best she can without question to set a proper example for those alongside her, putting forth a facade of perfect and fanatic patriotism and adherence to duty. In battle, she throws everything she has at an objective, showcasing a stern, unflinching and almost insanity-driven derangement in her willingness to simply 'do', rather than worry about 'how'.
Physical Description:
Physically, Tanya is a small child of approximately 10 years of age. She stands at roughly four foot six inches in height, and weighs in the neighborhood of 80 to 90 pounds. Due to an arduous beginning to her life, a combination of malnourishment and the very young age she went through the rigors of military training, her overall growth has been stunted and she is incredibly small and petite, easily mistaken for being even younger than she actually is.
She has been said to be overall very pretty and beautiful, as most children near her age are. Often cited as having a face like that of a fairy or doll, much to her disgruntlement. Her sickly, pale complexion and eerily sharp eyes have also seen her bear similarly and comparison to a vampire in terms of impression. Her eyes are a pale, cold shade of blue which often seem to sparkle in shades of purple, red or gold when making use of her magic. Her hair is a pale grayish-blonde, and is mostly a disorderly and tangled mess, often simply tied messily back to keep out of her face.
Character History:
Not technically a native....but fairly close to one. Originally born as a Japanese salaryman, an unfortunate accident saw that life end in an unexpected encounter with a speeding train. Next moment, that salaryman had awoken in the body of 'Tanya', a rather poor and unfortunate orphan in the care of a nunnery.
A natural aptitude for magic with a staggering output and latent potential would see her reluctantly accepted for military officer training with the forces of the Kingdom of Palatinus. Her startling aptitude, eagerness and efficient performance in spite of her young age saw her quickly progress through and attain a position teaching and instructing those in the beginning stages of their own education and training.
In spite of her overwhelmingly vicious attitude and less than zero tolerance policy for anything less than absolute perfection, she somehow managed to finish her training without any major incidents of note, and has finally been cleared for full service.

Looking similar to the flight suits worn by pilots, Tanya’s combat uniform is a simple thing with little in the way of flair that she wears when deployed on combat or other hostile missions. It features layers of insulation, padding and minor reinforcement to assist in surviving cold temperatures of high altitude and high-speed movement, as well as to help cushion and lessen the impact of sudden falls, and provide some limited, last-ditch defense against attacks in emergency situations.
