It was a sunny, happy day as usual along the shorelines of the capital city of the Imagen Nation. The clouds were smiling, the birds and chipmunks were all humming along to a jaunty toon, and even the distant mountains were bouncing gently in rhythm. Vienne loved this place, really. A lot of people in the Crossroads found Nos'Talia to be a tad distasteful, what with all of its delightful goofiness and non-sequitur slapstick...but her inner child sparked to life every single time she got walk down the brightly colored roads.

Today she was standing outside of a big old warehouse, assembled from rusty, corrugated aluminum, crooked stovepipes, and giant brass gears that turned with a grinding hum. Nearby was parked a giant dolphin spaceship, which was just excellent, along with a whole collection of little cartoon animal friends to watch the cameras roll.

Precious. But focus!

"This is Vienne Quigley here with you live from Toon Town on Nos'Talgia. I'm standing here with Gizmo and Gadget Gear; you may know them from last year's Dante's Abyss where they had a fantastic showing in the beloved Clockwork Colossus!" Vienne said, punching the air for emphasis. She turned to the brothers, brimming with excitement, and gestured at the oversized shed behind them.

"Rumor has it that you've negotiated with Syntech to get the CC back into your hands for the Grand Prix! Is that true, and can we take a little peek at any modifications you've made?"

 

[Gizmo Gear]

Gadget had severe stage fright. He was frozen like a deer in the headlights. And was hiding behind Gizmo and leaving Gizmo to do all of the talking for the interview. Trying their best to think of the best thing to say as not to piss off their sponsor.

"Well Vienne it was awfully kind of Syntech for us to use CC again but mostly we were worried about him cause he took a bad beating last time thankfully Syntech was gracious enough to make the repairs for us. Makes making the upgrades easier on us haha. But seriously though can't wait to join the Hyper Robot Grand Prix and show the Grand Prix Clockwork Colossus grand return to the Crossroads. Anyway, we can't show you what upgrades we made for him yet but don't worry he's going to be better than ever. Someday he might be so upgraded we might have to call him Cosmic Colossus." Gizmo said.

"That's great and all but you didn't answer my question," Vienne said.

"Oh right sorry. Anyway no we can't show you just yet the modifications we have planned, but considering that this Grand Prix most likely will feature a race of some kind trust me in that he'll be faster than ever. We also made sure his Springloaded Punch could do more than it could before. I think that's all we can say for now because we don't want to give too much away," Gizmo said.

"Unfortunate to hear but don't worry I can wait later for an exclusive. Let's give these two go-getters a hand everybody," Vienne said.

As the people of Toon Town gave a round of applause as Gizmo waved to everybody. And Gadget peeping behind Gizmo gave a timid wave as well.
