Lucien sat on the floor with his back to the wall inside his jail cell in Karim. He had been forced to flee back to Mesa Roja after an unfortunate encounter with an enforcer and his goons on Cevanti. The Guild didn’t take kindly to someone killing their men and Lucien wasn’t about to stick around to find out what they do to people. As soon as he had landed at the spaceport a pair of guards intercepted him and brought him directly to jail for suspicion of several crimes. Most of which had been Constanstia’s fault. He had lost count as to how many days he’d been locked up for. Lucien had made countless attempts to appeal his sentence or even get released, but they were fixed on railroading him regardless of if the charges were true or false. The sun was setting for the day when the door to his section of the jail opened, and a guard walked in followed by…her.

Tia.

“You have five minutes with the prisoner.” The guard stated before leaving, locking the door behind him.

“Looks like you’ve seen better days.” She said putting her face to the bars.

She pulled up her shirt and flashed him her breasts.

“There. That should help.”

Lucien rolled his eyes.

“What do you want, Constanstia?”

She grinned deviously. “I want to get you out of here. If I do, you must promise me something.”

Lucien sighed.

Here we go.

“What could you possibly want?”

Tia bit her bottom lip and smiled at him, which made the werewolf roll his eyes again.

“I want to date you. I want us to date. I want you to let me date you. Things are obviously not going well with that other chick. You haven’t seen her in over a year and I’m guessing since they took your cellphone away when they incarcerated you, you haven’t been able to text her either.”

Lucien looked dumbfounded. “Why would I date you? You’re nuts.”

“Oh c’mon. You love it. Even if you’re lying to yourself.” She pressed her breasts against the bars.

“You just want me for sex, Tia. Why would I date you?”

Tia frowned. “Am I not attractive enough for you?”

Lucien held up his hands. “That’s not what I meant.”

“I merely meant…what do you expect to offer besides gratuitous amounts of sex?”

“You say that like it’s a bad thing. What’re you gay? I’ve never had a boyfriend before. I figure we could go to Uruk and make something of ourselves. Maybe a cooperative operation as sellswords. I don’t know…”

Tia’s expression got very serious for a moment. Something Lucien had never seen in her before.

“I like you. I like you a lot. I’ve never felt this way about someone before and all my instincts are telling me to keep you in my life.”

Lucien sighed. “I’m flattered Tia, but…”

“Why won’t you just say yes? Am I really that bad of a person to you?”

“No…Tia…that’s not what…” He replied.

She huffed and turned her back to him.

She’s serious. I’d be lying if I said she wasn’t…fun. Is fun the right word? God what am I getting myself into.

“You’re beautiful, Tia. If you feel that strongly we can go on a date to test the waters. No sex until I make up my mind though.”

She turned around and jumped up and down with a big smile on her face.

“So, you’ll date me?” She said with excitement.

Lucien nodded. “Yes, Tia. I’ll go on a date with you.”

What’s the worst that could happen?

“Alright! I’ve secured your release. The first thing we’re going to do is head to Uruk and you can use my bath.”

Lucien stared at her.

“Relax. I’m not going to have sex with you. I’ll give you a bath. I’ll even wear clothes.”

Lucien smiled. That did sound nice. As crazy as she was there was more to Tia than her drug addiction and copious amounts of deviant activity.

“Guard! Release him!” She yelled.

Lucien stood up and moved to the cell door as the guard on duty entered the room with a key ring. He unlocked the cell that the werewolf was in, and the door opened with a creak. Lucien stepped out and looked at Tia who looked over the moon with herself. She pecked him on the cheek and continued into the next room where the guards processed him out. They gave him a set of civilian clothes at the counter.

“What about my equipment?” He asked.

“That was sold at auction to pay for your court fees.” The desk clerk said.

Lucien sighed.

Tia wrapped her arm around his arm and led him away. He quickly threw on the clothes given to him and let Constanstia lead him out into the bustling city of Karim. She guided him around the block to a storage shed. Taking the lock in her hand she inserted a key and unlatched it, pulling open the double doors. Inside was Lucien’s Indian motorcycle.

“What? How did you get this?” He asked, shocked.

“I hid it away after I found out you were in jail. I figured you might still want it. It still runs. We can ride it back to Uruk.”

Lucien gave Tia a hug which she thoroughly enjoyed before saddling the motorcycle and beckoning her to him. She straddled the seat, sitting behind him, wrapping her arms around his waist. He kicked the starter and bike roared to life. Revving the engine a few times he drove it out of the storage shed so Tia could lock it up before hopping back on. Once she was secure, they rode their way out of the city through the main gate and headed out into the desert towards Uruk.

As they motored their way through Uruk’s front gate, Lucien remembered that he didn’t have anything to his name.

“I just realized that I have nothing but this bike to my name. If I want to buy gear I might need to sell it.” He mused, heading down the main street of one of Uruk’s residential districts.

“I have some equipment at my place you can use. Turn left up here.”

They continued down a side road before Constanstia tapped on his shoulder and he pulled over next to a two-story abode. He let the bike shut off before dismounting. She led him through the front door and closed it behind him.

“The bath is through the living room and to the right of the bedroom. Go get started, I’ll be there shortly.”

“Why do you need to bathe me?” Lucien said as he moved through the living room.

“You’ve obviously gone nose deaf. You smell like a dog. We’re going to get you squeaky clean, so you won’t stink up my bed.”

“Now I’m sleeping in the same bed as you?” He said as he entered the bathroom and flipped on the light.

“You worry too much.”

Constanstia stood in the doorway of the bathroom as Lucien undressed. She took a little pouch from her bra and dabbed out a little bit of the bluish green powder before snorting it.

“That’s exactly why I’m worried.” He said, gesturing towards her.

Tia giggled. “You’re just going to have trust me.”

Lucien sighed and stepped into the tub, turning on the water. He carefully metered out the hot and cold until it was a nice warm temperature. Sitting down he cupped some of the water and splashed it on his face. Was this really happening? Was Constanstia really taking care of him? Or was this some fever dream. Or even worse, was this her master plan to get him to herself? She adjusted her ponytail and knelt next to the tub, taking some soap from the sink counter. She eyed Lucien as the water filled the tub around him. She was a woman. Of course she was going to look. Lucien caught her staring and cleared his throat.

“Is me being naked going to be a problem, Tia?”

She met his gaze and bit her bottom lip seductively before grinning.

“Of course not.” She took the soap and squirted some on her hands.

Lathering her hands up she took a washcloth and began to scrub his shoulders and back.

“Why are you doing this?” He asked.

“I told you why. I’m in love with you.”

“Wait, what?” He said meeting her gaze. “You told me you liked me, not that you were in love with me!”

“Did I fail to mention that?” She giggled. “It’s no big deal. It may be just a crush, but I’m hoping I can win you over!”

Lucien splashed water on his face and rubbed his temples. As much as she drove him crazy, it wasn’t in his nature to blatantly ignore someone’s feelings. Constanstia was very attractive, and she was behaving herself. Maybe it wouldn’t be such a bad thing to give her a chance.

What am I getting myself into.
