Character Name: Wario

Character Source: Wario Land / Super Mario

Starting Location: Nos'talgia

Character Behavior:
Wario is a Greedy Brawler.

Wario is always looking to make a quick buck whether that is by treasure-hunting, making video games, or scamming others out of their hard-earned cash. Every coin, gem, and valuable he collects is hoarded away. There is nothing that he values more than that sweet, sweet loot. He is extremely difficult to part with his money.

A threat to one's life as much as one's wallet, Wario is not to be trifled with. He is a physical powerhouse that can take blow after blow and keep going thanks to his insane durability and stamina. His main method of attack is quite simple. Get up close and clobber the living daylight out of his opponent. Tenacious and unrelenting, Wario will rush down his opponent and not give them a chance to breath, hitting them with everything he's got.

Physical Description:

Wario is peak male physique.

He is a large and sturdy man weighing in at 308 pounds. He has thick muscular arms, a big belly, and excess fat that is attempting to escape the tops of his overalls. Many would call him obese but Wario would tell you it's just muscle. He stands a little above average height but due to his wide body some would see him as more squat in appearance.

Centered in the middle of his face is a big pink nose along with a magnificent black mustache. Just below that is a big grin that shows off his pearly whites. It is almost never seen closed.

While he has worn many outfits over the years, his go-to is a purple set of overalls, short-sleeve yellow shirt, white gloves, green slippers, and his iconic yellow cap. Both his gloves and cap have a big blue W printed on them.

Character History:

Being born as one of the seven star children, Wario was destined for greatness.

Being taken in by the Yoshis of Yoshi Island, they protected him and the other star children from the clutches of Kamek and the time-traveling King Bowser. He was one of the more difficult babies to manage due to his argumentative nature, temper tantrums, and him being prone to wandering off after what would become his main focus in life.

Money.

After the defeat of the future king of the koopas, Wario would go on to grow up. He would continue his goal of becoming wealthy. Along the way, he would happen to meet up with another one of the star children again. This one, however, he would come to despise.

As kids, Mario and Wario would often play together. Mario was the most popular, always the center of attention, and the one who was invited to parties. On the other hand, Wario was the one who got picked on and made fun of, most notably by Mario himself. Every time the two played together, Mario would tease and laugh at his playmate, instilling in him a deep sense of bitterness and jealousy. This feeling would keep growing until it became so engraved in Wario that it became another focus of his.

Ruining Mario's life.

They would part ways only to cross paths years later when they were much older. One day, Wario would come across his childhood rival's castle. It was unattended at the time, and Wario, still bitter over his childhood bullying, seized this golden opportunity. He cast a spell over the land, hypnotizing everyone who lived there. He would then make use of six golden coins to lock Mario out of his own castle, scattering them across the land. Wario had succeeded, or at least he thought so.

While making himself comfortable on his rival's throne, Mario would barge in to reclaim his stolen property. Not one to go down without a fight, Wario engaged him only to be defeated. Embarrassed again at the hand's of his childhood rival, Wario ran off, not to be seen for some time.

He would later reemerge, more determined than ever to get a castle of his own. This would lead him into a career in treasure hunting, where he would make use of his incredible strength to beat down anyone who got between him and those sweet, sweet riches. While his plans to hold a golden statue of Princess Peach ransom were thwarted (take a guess at who did that) and, in the process, he formed a rivalry with a certain pirate who would later become a thorn in his side, Wario had at last accomplished his goal of owning his own castle. Sure, he had to give up all the gold he had collected to get it, but still, it was a major stepping stone.

Wario would go on to have more adventures, accumulating massive amounts of wealth, participate in multiple sporting events, and even create his own video game company.

What starting Affinity does your character have? Specialized

Abilities/Skills:

Super Strength
Damage Rank 5 (500)
Move Object 5 (500)
Modifiers: Ongoing (0)
Total Cost: 1000
Description: Wario's shining character trait is his brute strength. He can easily turn rocks to rubble with a single punch. Punches, kicks, headbutts, and any other physical strikes involving his body. This strength can also be used to lift, carry, and throw aside heavy objects with no problem.

Immortality?
Protection Rank 5 (500)
Modifiers: Ongoing (0)
Endurance 5 (500)
Modifiers: Side Effect (-250)
Total: 750
Description: Wario claims that he himself is immortal. It is unknown whether this is true or not, but it is most likely due to the fact that leaving a mark on him is difficult. In addition to his natural toughness, his body reacts to attacks in strange, almost cartoonish ways. Burn him, freeze him, smash him with a mallet. He'll take it all and get right back up, although there may be certain... side effects. These effects vary depending on how he was hurt, but most often involve his body being altered in some way, forcing him to perform actions out of his control. Wario has no control over whether these reactions occur or not. This can lead to unexpected (or humorous) scenarios. Most reactions wear off after a short amount of time and can be ended early through logical means (i.e. dousing Flaming Wario with water).

Stealing 5 (250) - If Wario sees something that he wants, it’s as good as his. Wario can be quick with his hands at a moment’s notice when there is something to be gained from it. Could be snatching something without anybody noticing or lifting an item off someone without being detected.

"Stealing 5" should be written as, "Master Skill: Stealing 5" to make it clear what effect it is embodying. However, other than that, I see no issues, so as long as this minor problem is fixed... Approved! please post your character profile in the "Character Profiles" forum, and have a rotten day!
