Suwako let her tongue roll out. "...My uncharacteristic silence... after I just yelled at y-okay." Suwako would add. "just admit it - you're mad because I got a taste of those receptors. it wasn't a taste you wanted to give out, and I took it anyways. You're mad I know exactly the combination of sweet, salty, sour, bitter and umami you are, and the only way you can take that away from me, is taking me out!"

 

[Gilgamesh]

"That frog is too adorable!" Gilgamesh screamed. "As long as its hands are above the table, I love it," he then mumbled. "You have gone too far, mongrel! Defend yourself, Starscream."

[Fenix]

Suwako, upon hearing this, gave a broad smile of happiness... and then immediately threw her hands up in the air. "My king!" She cried with a glowing expression.

 

[Ohm Zui]

Ohm Zui hands out the last of the pastry boxes and then zips over to Starscream.

"So you say you lured them in, you say you know who they are. Why are you holding back, if you are not working for them?"

The zoombini hovered in the air in front of the robot, and glared with narrowed eyes through their goggles.

"I'd like to remind you that my expertise is in mechanical engineering. Disarming a dead man's switch is not that hard of a puzzle."

 

[Rebecca Chambers]

“I’m a bomb,” snapped Starscream, who was steadily growing more panicked. “If you want to take that risk and dismantle me, be my guest! And I don’t know who they are. I have no ties to those disgusting insects who would target a king while he sleeps. I just know that if I’m lethally damaged, I’ll take at least one of them with me.”

 

[Azula]

Azula stepped between Ohm Zui and Starscream, holding up an arm. She had remained silent after casting aspersions on her servant, weighed down with an unfamiliar feeling. Was it... sadness?

No, she didn’t think so. But whatever it was, it compelled her to defend the giant robot.

“You will not be dismantling my loyal servant,” the Fire Princess barked. “If anyone is separating the parts of this preposterous present, it shall be I, when I pull the trigger for the guillotine and decapitate him.”

She glanced up toward Starscream. “The person who passed the sentence should always swing the sword,” she declared, completely originally. It was a campaign motto she’d become known for because of its originality, and how it had never been uttered by any other leader ever. “Though now I’m not sure this is a sentence I want to pass...”

 

[Yuuka Kazami]

Yuuka pinched the bridge of her nose, irritable from hunger. “God, this is stupid. Can you all just kill the robot already and get this farce over with?”

 

[Ohm Zui]

Ohm Zui subsides when Azula intervenes, and looks at the ground. When Yuuka speaks up, the zoombini watches them before turning to Starscream.

"Alright, Starscream, I accept that you have a logical reason to your current actions if you are truly willing to sacrifice yourself for the rest of us."

There was a pause.

"That does not explain why the criminals targeted Gilgamesh. If you can logically explain why they would wish to target Gilgamesh, especially with the size of the target you seemed to be, then perhaps you can convince someone who has voted for you to change their vote. If you can't, I'll go get my toolkit."

It didn't sit right. The robot was clearly a scheming slime ball, but the near unified voices calling for his execution pointed to a larger problem. The message stating the existence of a mafia pointed to a coordinated force that was attempting to take over the town. There had been few voices except the accused dissenting from the charges, none even offering potential counterpoints as to who else would have been involved. Either the mafia had utterly abandoned this one to make themselves appear as upstanding members of the town, or they had been handed the perfect opportunity for a scapegoat. He grit his teeth in irritation, there was something that just wasn't right here.

"This is too clean. I agree that no one should want to save this creep. But if there is an organized mob attempting to take over this town they would be at a significant lose if he ends up shot. There's been only token resistance, from the robot himself or from anyone else. Either the mafia is in deep cover, or this isn't one of them."

 

[Remilia Scarlet]

Remilia lets out a sigh. This escapade was fun, but the bickering has now become circular. Where was the twist? The sudden play? The evil twins? She supposed that standing out side of it let her enjoy it from her own time, but now? Hungry, and nowhere to go. And the next days may be the same. And fun feud will turn to horror as the noose of the mafia strangles them.

She guess, what point of being here if she could not play her own part?

"Alright, I'm done with playing the aloof girl." Remilia steps forward. "You want something done? fine, I'll do it myself. I am the Innocent. I'm not a innocent. I'm THE innocent.Not willing to behead someone? then vote for me, and it will prove my claim. I vote Remilia Scarlet"

The eco warrior was already there when the argument started. The issue at hand was a certain robot named Starscream who was yelling pleas. Then Remila called out something. But nobody was really sure to be honest.

“This sounds an awful like that one time I was in Kras City with Daxter.”
"I vote for Starscream."

 

[Rebecca Chambers]

Over the sound of more votes being added to the pile damning him, Starscream‘s optics shuttered at the Ohm Zui, scarcely able to believe his audial receptors. They were asking him... why the mafia would target Gilgamesh? Why?!

“How would I know that?!” he screeched, rearing up to his full height, the sharp points of his wings zipping aggressively upward. “I’m an innocent townsperson just like the rest of you! Granted, I may have made a few mistakes, but I’m being truthful (for once in my life)!”

He turned to Azula, swiftly kneeling down and bowing, wings folded against his back in shame. Although the seeker was much greater than her in height, his posture was clearly reverent.

“Lord M— m-my liege, I will submit to your judgement in this matter. You are, of course, far wiser than I. But I do think it would be a grave mistake to kill me, and for the good of your people, I beg of you to reconsider!”

 

[Gilgamesh]

"Fine," Gilgamesh waved his hand. "If you so wish to be beheaded, so be it." Gilgamesh sighed and started to inspect his nails. "Go ahead and die for your King, Remelia Scarlet."

Azula thought.

“I do reconsider,” she nodded. She didn’t place a hand on Starscream this time, because she’d felt his discomfort last time. She may be a sadist, but she wasn’t fucking disrespectful.

“I retract my vote for Starscream,” she said. “But before I fall into Remilia’s ploy, I’ve got to ask the Major: where exactly did you perform your military services? I don’t mean to doubt you, Major, but — well, actually, I do. Some pieces aren’t adding up.”
